My hostas are now slug-free!! And I also seem to have the vine weevils under control. Green gardener nematodes have saved my garden! Great service too - they even manage to deliver the little blighters (nematodes are alive) to avoid our holidays! Thank you.

I am very upset to be responsible for allowing the killing of 50 live Lady birds which I ordered through amazon - they were all dead at time of arrival. I will reverse my payment.

Thanks for the message and apologies for the dead ladybirds. It is very unusual for them all to be dead but we do chill them before packing to put them in a state of hibernation, so try popping them somewhere warm and they should wake up. We send hundreds of packs of ladybirds out each week with very little trouble. They are posted by 1st class post for next day delivery, we include food and they are packaged in non-crushable containers and padded envelopes, so normally they arrive fine. Obviously if they are dead, I would have replaced them or refunded your money but if you have already initiated the reversal I will have to wait for Amazon to organise this, so I will keep an eye out for it. Apologies again for the dead ladybirds. Jon @ Green Gardener

I regularly order Nemasys vine weevil nematodes from this supplier and they seem very effective at combating the problem. Easy to place an order and you can also sign up to receive a regular newsletter. Delivery is also very prompt.

A lot of the ladybird larvae we received were dead on arrival, however a quick email and they were very happy to send more over for us. They've cured our black-fly problem.

I've had slug problems for years and probably wasted a fortune feeding them my lovely plants. I purchased Nemaslug from green gardener and this year I can't believe the difference. Not a slug in sight and I have plants that are flourishing. Green gardener themselves provide a service which is very user friendly, prompt and efficient. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I released 50 ladybirds into my garden but have not seen one since!

Thanks for the message and it is totally normal for the ladybirds to disperses once you release them, so they can get on with their job i.e. eating and breeding. Green Gardening and releasing living predators especially is a leap of faith, so rather than seeing more ladybirds, success is the lack of pests, so keep avoiding chemical sprays and as the ladybirds breed, over a period of time the number of beneficial insects in your garden will increase (and you will see more ladybirds) and the number of pests will decrease. I hope this helps Jon @ Green Gardener

The parcel went to the Post Office and I collected the next morning but by the time I got my mealy bug munching lady birds lavae they were half dead. I stored them in a cool place during the day and released them in the evening. By then they were more or less all dead. One seemed to have a bit of life in it but did not survive the night! On a more positive note, I have been using the mealy bug formula I got with water and I believe it may be helping reduce the mealy bug.

This is such an important company, showing gardeners how to look after their gardens organically. They can be very helpful too, if you call up and ask advice. The website is very crowded and badly designed but if you have the patience to wade through it, it’s worthwhile. A fab company I have recommended to many of my gardening pals.
