“Salmon oil good quality but not keen on the plastic bottle”

Hi Caroline Thank you for leaving a review. Unfortunately our previous supplier discontinued the metal bottles. We tried hard to find an alternative supplier and bottle that is both eco friendly and suitable for storing the oil, but we could not source suitable metal containers, so we switched over to fully recycled plastic bottles. We do our very best with our packaging, it can be challenging when food products have to be kept fresh. We have tried to reduce our carbon footprint to compensate for the change in packaging and our new, but still same great quality, Salmon Oil is now sourced from Scottish Salmon rather than Icelandic Salmon, which has also meant we have been able to offer it in two different sizes and pass the savings on, by lowering the retail price! “My dog has had the Yakity Yak Chew before and loves them so I decided to get the Yakity Yak Puff Nuggets to give as a treat when out and about. Sadly, while she loves it at first, she just leaves it in a pile of shattered mess.”

Hi James Thank you for leaving a review and it's great to hear that your dog loves our Yak Chews. We are sorry to hear that she doesn't love the Puff Nuggets as much. We haven't received feedback of the nuggets being crunched and then left before, but it's possible she finds it more enjoyable to chew them up and in her eyes "destroy" them rather than digest them. Sometimes, it can take a dog a while to get used to a new treat or chew that's been introduced to them. A softer or more chewy treat may be more suitable as a treat to give when out and about over a harder chew. Please feel free to contact us if you would like us to suggest alternative products. “Lovely quality chews for my boy! He loves the anchovies and adores the camel! I watch him with the camel chews, because he's an older dog and they are quite long....he did get some stuck in the back of his throat!Good buy!”

“I really love Green & Wilds and so do all my customers. I started stocking around 8 treat ranges and around 8 toys instore but have doubled the number of options. It's high quality, healthy and tasty. We have so many return customers. The packaging is fantastic as is the written details on the packaging which detail all the health benefits. But what makes this brand special is that you dint find it in supermarkets although its started to appear on the Ocado website sadly, so not happy about this!!!”

We put a lot of time and effort into our packaging so it's really nice to know it is appreciated as well as the quality of our products. Whilst our products are not available in standard supermarkets, a small selection of our products are available via Ocado, and have been for a couple of years. “The toys are high quality and I love the sustainability. My dog loved them. Unfortunately several of them come with flaps of suede and jute as ears, feet etc that my dog immediately chewed off and swallowed. Top marks from her, a bit of anxiety from me.”

To help put your mind at rest, jute is a natural plant fibre and all of our eco toys made without using any compound that would harm or be released when chewed. We always advise supervising dogs when chewing on any toy and to remove if your dog tries to swallow any pieces or chunks. The Green&Wild's Team

This, coupled with supplier issues (which in the current financial climate, have been experienced by many retailers) has unfortunately led to cases where demand has far exceeded supply. “I buy the jute bones for my dog to destroy. She chomps through about one a week. Tug toy rope didn't last 2m so that's in the destruction pile now too. Extra star for eco-friendliness.”

“Interesting and unusual products as well as very courteous, generous and supportive customer service. Our elderly dog was not impressed with a chew I purchased so they are very kindly replacing it with another. I would have given 5 stars but I am a bit sceptical of the insect protein products offered for dogs. I know we are all supposed to be eating insects in the future and I may be wrong but I think only birds have the enzymes to digest insect proteins. If I am wrong, count this as 5 stars.”

According to research and many different sources, yes, dogs can digest insect protein. Being omnivores, dogs can very easily digest this protein source with it's many essential amino acids. “I ordered 5 different dog toys for my dachshunds who are notorious for destroying things in minutes. All but the reindeer have survived 3 days!! Sadly I think the reindeer was not stitched fully and they managed to pull it apart within minutes, huge shame. However, These toys are fabulous for a dog that chews and I previously bought the starfish and that lasted over 6 months which is incredible for Theo, they are made of suede and felt and they slowly have bits chewed off but they really are the best dog toys around. Thank you.”
