My dealings with IG04 use to be great but when my car got scrapped and I had to canx my policy and open a new policy went bad a customer service man was so belittling to me saying it was my fault and I had to press him to pass me onto a supervisor called Kelly to be fair she was very polite and helpful but it has left a taste now and am considering moving to another company after years of loyalty goes nowhere

Terrible Customer service!! extortionate missed payment fee's! They charge an instant £35 late payment fee! I have made a number calls to avoid this fee. My first call was on the day on the missed direct debt. I was told I didn't need to worry as the payment would be taken at a later date. Then I received an email informing me of the fee. I called again to see if the fee could be avoided as I had attempted to pay by phone, to which I was told this wasn't possible. I then spoke to a manager who confirmed that the fee will apply and he suggested I raise it as a complaint. I then received a call back from a manager a few days later to confirm the fee would be refunded off my next bill. I called today to confirm the amount of my next payment and discovered the refund of the fee hadn't been applied. I was then put on hold while they listened back to my call's to find they hadn't kept a record of their out going call to me. I was then told it would be pointless to make a complaint and the customer service person did not want to pass me to a manager. I was then told another company is responsible for the fee and that they would never apply a refund under any circumstance.

RUBBISH........................claim made on 13th November and still not heard anything. Been promised a call back from the repair garage assessing the damage twice and including the conversation i had with Lydia today 3 times. I've even had to hire a courtesy car whilst i wait for the damaged on my car to be assessed. So many 3rd parties involved everyone just passes the buck. Spoke to Lydia today to understand the complaints process, asked to speak to manager but thats all she could do was log the complaint and said someone would investigate it and call me back. doubt this will happen.

Had constant emails asking to send proof of NCD, this was after receiving an email confirming they had already received it, the emails continued and said they would cancel my policy, when I informed them I had held my licence for 10 years not 9, they increased my premium and charged me admin fee, all within the first ten days of choosing this company, which usually doesn't incur a charge with other insurance companies. Avoid.

Be careful with these shysters. Been trying to cancel the renewal of my policy but there is no way to do it online. Sent them several emails and no response. Instead received an email thanking me for renewing! Also, they charge £60 to renew your policy. Avoid this lot like the plague, awful company with awful customer service. Thank God we never had a claim if this is how they treat their customers over a simple matter.

Rubbish service. We filled in an online form that asked how many years we had a licence. The nearest was 6 years. Later we were told the licence was not for 6 years but 5 years plus and we have to pay an extra £83. What a rip off! If they asked the actual date on their form we would have put it down. Tried to get them to explain why 5.8 years was different from 6.00 years and they couldn’t. Asked them to refer it to the underwriter and they refused. If this is how poor their service is with a new customer, what can a claimant expect? Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Avoid this lot.

Hi, We do ask on our quote journey for the full pass date on your licence. If a comparison website has been used however some ask for this differently. In regards to cost change, this would be up to the insurer when the change in date is made. If you'd like to discuss this further please send us a private response with your details. Thanks, Vicky

I took out a policy with these guys on the 24th September which I paid off in full. They then sent me a email stating the underwriter who are Inspire, wanted relevant documents. So I emailed them within a couple of days. After that I received a letter through the post saying my insurance would be cancelled if I didn't contact them before the 11th October. I rang them every day after that to get an update after providing my documents 3times. By 10th Oct Igor hadn't even sent my documents to Inspire (underwriter). Today (14th Oct) I phoned after which I was promised a call, and now have been told the underwriter still wants to cancel my policy but Igo4 saying No reason has been provided and apparently they don't have to give a reason. I'm absolutely disgusted with the whole service I have received. I have googled the contact number for Inspire Motor insurance but it keeps putting me in touch with Igo4. I demand a reason for my insurance being cancelled after taking the full payment from me. Absolutely rubbish company. AVOID AVOID AVOID IGO4!!!!!

Don't go near these thieves. I was with them for 10 days and had informed them at the beginning that I had an accident and it was yet to be resolved with my previous insurer. I had 11 years No Claims and my previous insurer put my No Claims down to 3 yrs. So, Once I was ready to let IGO4 know about my no claims going down they decided they didn't want to insure me. Well, where did I go wrong? I was honest from the start! So, Im insured with them for 10 days and they decide to take £104 off me for Cancellation, Set Up Fee and 10 days insurance. Honesty got me nowhere. Now Im back to square on looking for another insurer. £104 for nothing of a service! Thanks! Then on top of that the clerk on the phone is speaking to me in a derogatory tone when I ask her to break down the £104 they took off my initial payment. Oh they'll have a reply for me on this site but its not good enough. People need value for money and a service they can trust. 10 days of service for £104??

I took out a policy with IGO4 but then had an accident and was then passed to the claims handling sure INSPIRE CLAIMS. I’ve tried to call these people for 3 days now and have had no answer. Friday held on for 45 minutes, Monday 50 minutes and today is currently at 36 minutes. All I want to do is find out what is going on with my claim. I for one will never go with IGO4 again if this is how I’m dealt with in future. It’s absolutely appalling service.

Hi Stephen, We're sorry to read this. We are a broker so we arrange and manage the policy. But the cover, price and any claims are controlled by the insurer who your cover will be with. Inspire is one of the insurers we can offer a policy with. Inspire claims will be their claims team. We're sorry to read you've had issues in regards to your claim. Please send us a private response with your details and we can look into this for you. Thanks, Vicky

Terrible company! Took out insurance on 4th June, rang on 17th July to change address to be told the under writers couldn’t insure on the new address so they couldn’t give me insurance- they advised they would cancel the insurance after 7 days to allow me to look for alternative insurance which leads up to 24th July I cancelled the direct debit as had paid a deposit and believed the deposit would cover the payment up until 24th and the rest would be refunded! I have received a default notice from the finance company so when I have called Igo4 didn’t cancel the policy until 8th Aug linked to the unpaid DD NOT the fact the couldn’t provide insurance- I have been on the phone for an hour - they advised they would ‘waiver’ the cancellation charge (despite me not actually cancelling the policy as it was them who cancelled it) and they would go ‘halves’ on the charges which would bring what I OWED THEM down to £38.62- when I asked to speak to a manager the same person came back and said they would waiver the £38.62 as well so I wouldn’t owe them and they wouldn’t owe me so when I brought up the deposit I paid and said I was happy to pay what ever I owed up until 24th July he again tried to say they had waivered all charges up until 8th Aug and tried to say I hadn’t paid anything at all despite paying a deposit and June DD!!! I was getting know where so I asked for complaints dept details to which I got told he logs the complaints, I advised I wished to do this myself and he said it was process for him to do it HOWEVER I have found complaints details online so this was a lie! To make it simple- I had insurance with this company for 50 days in total. 12 months of £32.92=£395.04 £395.04/365=£1.08 £1.08x50=£54 Deposit (£61.24)+ June DD (£32.92)=£94.16 paid to your company £94.16-£54(owed to 24/7)=£40.16 OWED TO ME from my deposit! I did not cancel my insurance- I had no choice as they physically wouldn't provide me with any insurance at my new address! I would like someone to resolve this matter but based on my experience of just over an hour on the phone today I probably wont get anywhere ! Thank you Tariq for the hour long call today!

Took money from my bank without consent following what they call "automatic renewal". Wow..... I would really swear well clear of this company. Sharks does not even come into it. I set up a policy for a spare car last year which we used for a few months while my main car was off the road. They were cheap enough however cheap for a reason. Customer service is non existent. No letters or documents were ever sent through and they rely on you checking your emails religiously. They claimed to have sent an email regarding renewal of the policy which they took to be my consent to an automatic renewal if I did not contact them. I hadn't seen the email as it had gone into my spam folder let alone gone through the small print to see this. They then chose to provide me with a new finance agreement with their third party provider to fund the policy, all carried out under the veiled secrecy of emails going into spam folders. Despite not agreeing to any new finance agreement a direct debit was set up without my consent or knowledge and funds taken for a policy I don't need nor agreed to. This has directly affected my credit rating and left issues with my bank. Having spoken to Kelly at IGO4 today there was very little sympathy and in fact, more emails to try and resolve this. As I said to Kelly, how would she feel if I just dibbed into her bank account and took £50 each month without her consent. Angry and upset she said but still could not see my point as her customer. Again, I asked how she would feel if her poor partner was starving hungry as there was no food on the table as Kelly could not afford to buy food as I had taken £50 from her bank account without her knowledge or consent. Upset she said yet could not see my point. IGO4, your staff, by there own admission, would be angry and upset if I had taken money from them, can you really not see why I am so angry and upset with what you have done ? PLEASE.... if you read this then pay a little bit more for your insurance and go with a reputable company who cares about there customers.

Hi, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. Auto-renewal is the common processed used by the majority of insurance companies. This means you aren't left uninsured if you do forget to renew your policy which could lead to convictions and/or fines. We do advise the main way we communicate is via emails and documents would have been sent out via email, they are also available at any time via the "My policy" section of our website. In regards to emails going into a spam folder, this would be done by your email provider. The renewal invite sent out does state several times that the policy will be set to auto-renew, we don't hide this in the small print. We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the service you've received. If you can send us a private response with your details we can discuss this with you. Thanks, Vicky
