“I have used them for almost a year when I have bought another car. Their online platform is rubbish. You can't change anything. They charge £50 to change anything in the policy. That's what they charged me when just changed my number plate on the same car for a private plate. Their prices are good however you pay even more in a long run. Communication is absolutely ridiculous. I have tried to add a new car to my policy. The only way to do any change is by phone only. I was on the phone for 30 minutes when someone answered the phone and then hanged off straight after. Then another 30 minutes to finilally speak to someone who diverted the call to a colleague, however the colleague did not pick up the phone for 1 hour. I made a separate cover with a separate provider in the meantime. I was so upset. I didn't even care of losing my no claim for that 9 months I already had. Because I am not keeping my old car so I will lose the no claim when sold. Very unprofessional and a sneaky rip off with their charges. Better to pay slightly more for a company which takes care of you. Can't imagine how they are dealing with the claims.”
“We have our car insured with GoSkippy the last 5 months, but we sold it. Now they want to charge us 75 pounds in cancellation fee and making us pay them 10 pounds! Unreal!
Might as well then just keep the insurance running and not renew it! Idiocy at its finest!”
“AVIOD AT ALL COSTS I took a policy out with this company due to having the best quote 🤣 that was a big mistake. They told me that I had a claim on my policy that’s later for the last 6 months so the past 3 cars I have swapped over with them have all been smaller engines so they told me that I had a refund due but wouldn’t get it due to there being a claim on there that still isn’t sorted to this day. They charged me £50 a time to swap the cars on the policy because the portal was blocked. I finally came around to changing insurance because I had had enough of keep having to phone them and waiting a good 35 minuets plus to get through to anyone to have rude staff put the phone down on me. This only started after I had paid in full. So then I cancelled my policy four months sort and I was due a refund for that they charged me £75 for the cancellation for that policy and then still refuse to refund the remainder of the money claiming it not due anything. Not at all impressed and I’ll be taking it further.”
“Worst company on my live ! After I've paid for deposit they cancelled the insurance and after 5 days told me I need to pay for charges ! Avoid this company! Even 1 🌟don't deserve”
“We had very bad experience communicating to go skippy
Being hold for so long transfer one to another another another another and another finally could get to the right department why? It may not existed lol. I had to call again following instruction on the automated voice choose x number for renewals then I did but when the phone picked up sorry wrong department I will transfer! ok thanks. I waited for about 30 minutes then the same person picked up the phone! It’s me you just transferred me ohh so why did you come back?
Well I didn’t come back you came back to the phone I believe 😀hilarious ha?
Well very stress full disappointing.
I had to call again then finally I thought I was at the right but the phone was cut off!!😩 what a farce of customer “service””
“Bought car insurance less than a month ago, no issues. Updated vehicle, same engine size, went to change details only to be told that their underwriter does not inside new car. They then did a new quote for me which exactly doubled the original quote, with same underwriters!!! Told them where to shove it but our of pocket £70 for less than a months insurance. Not happy”
“Extortionate fees, quick to cancel and change policy’s. Terrible and rude customer service had two bad experience with this insurer in the last 6 years both times leaving unhappy and out of pocket.”
“High risk of SCAM!
Provided me a quote than deducted twice as much money from my card than the quoted price. I called them and I thought everything sorted out, but after the cooling off period they have started to generate issues again, like they did not see my payment, and generated extra fees.
I have send a cancellation request on their contact form. They have cancelled the policy, but I am not sure what was their final reasoning of cancellation.
The company asks your credit card number and CVV over phone, so they can deduct whatever they want. All financial institutions suggest to refuse this request due to potential SCAM.
Just see the review wordings and you could figure out which is real.”
