“I had my car written off 3 months ago. As i was still paying insurance, while driving a new car (obviously with a different insurer) they refused to give me a refund for the car that didn’t exist (it was sent to the scrapyard and destroyed a week after it was written off). poor service, i had kindly asked for a breakdown of an outstanding balance i am supposed to pay although i am due a refund as said over the phone and they completely ignored my question and said “please note you have an outstanding balance” which is the whole point of me sending an email to ask about it.”

“Absolutely discussed with the service. Could hardly hear a single thing being said, due to some sort of party in the background (their end). So the person taking the call from the insurance promised to call me back, didn’t happen.
Called them again the next day and again, too many people ( females) shouting, laughing out loud and basically, totally unprofessional.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Safe to say there will be no recommendations from me from now on.
Avoid at all costs. If it’s like this trying to renew, god only knows what it would be like to make a claim.”

“Terrible company.I got charged a £75 cancellation fee plus interest. Took policy out then 3 weeks later got asked for proof of no claims which I produced but didn’t meet there criteria so they cancelled the policy. Also took an upfront premium payment from me when I took the policy out .Avoid this company”

“Would never recommend this company!!! Mine was due for renewal and just got an email to say they are not renewing out of the blue!!!
No convictions, no accidents good no claims never missed a payment ....rang them and they just said at first they didn't know so rangback and they said they couldn't find anyone to cover me!!! What rubbish got covered with other company and half price from last year... absolutely awful!!!”

“Unable to insure new car via GoSkippy and so had to pay both their brokers fee of £221.68 and the add on extras for £70.98 as well as having to pay the £75 cancellation fee. Also had to change number plate which cost £50 wheras with Ticker that was free. Very disappointing fees.”

“I tried to get insurance from Goskippy and after sending all sorts of documents and all being good they have cancelled my policy saying I could not provide 20 years of no bonus claim. But I did provide the last years one. I do not keep papers from 20 years ago! All the insurer drivers had no points no convictions all clear. Still they cancelled. I waisted a long time sending all documents sent in total 14 emails around 10 phone calls. What a waist of time!! I hope they don’t share our driving licences details. Or misused them! Overall it was a terrible experience! One I will remember not to contact them again!”

“Got a slightly newer car mid policy. Called up to change the details. They stated they could not insure car due to risk of theft... Then come the £300 charges to cancel. It's a racket designed to make you cancel and so that you will change insurer but still pay a heavy fee. Win win for them. Please avoid at all costs. Going to the FOS.”

“They charged me £25 when I asked them to cancel the policy very next day I bought it though the Premium start date was after a months date, Complete waste”

“Someone had hit my car while I was parked in a supermarket carpark. I didn't see who had done it as I was shopping. There was CCTV either side of my car so It would have been easy to see who had hit my car. I must have called GoSkippy at least 15 or 16 times, each time I was given an excuse as to why they haven't obtained the CCTV footage. Six months have now gone by and I was now due to renew my yearly car insurance. I received an email from GoSKippy saying that they haven't been able to get the CCTV footage and they wouldn't be able to renew my insurance, as if I would use this company again. I found GoSkippy very unhelpful and will not be using them again.”

“I've been misled. I've been told after my payment has been taken that I need to send proof of 5 YEARS NO CLAIMS. As a man approaching 60 I am not able to do this online or any other way. So, besides paying for two payments in a month (One Call and Go Skippy) I'm threatened with costs and cancellation of insurance.
I'm not happy at all and feel I've been badly informed from both companies.”
