“AVOID at all costs! They are a shambles, was only "with" them for less than 12 hours. The T&C's are full of hidden charges and wording to get them out of everything. They are a front for another company who actually insure you, and the "finance" for car insurance is through another. Customer service is a joke, phone manners are appalling also.”
“Avoid!!! Took out a insurance with them 80 pound a month it was, they telephoned be back and said the credit side off it had declined and wanted me to pay 200 a month this was one week later. They kept my 80 pound and wanted a another 75 pound cancellation fee because I couldn't afford 200 pound a month :/ because we had agreed on 80pound a month. Because I felt this was unfair I didn't pay the cancellation fee which they have now added 100 pound on top. Disgusting company!!”
“Never struggled so much trying to cancel a policy, only to be told I couldn’t for some reason, was sorting out with the company and waiting to hear back when they cancelled the policy themselves and tried charging me the full amount!!!”
“If I could give less stars I would. Haven’t got a good word to say about this company, it’s like at every given stage they were trying to rake advantage and get more money out of me, even cancelling my policy and trying to make me pay the full amount when there were no faults on my side. All payments were up to date, I had previously discussed cancellation but was told I couldn’t do it. The company then acted on their own to do so and try to get money out of me for paying the full year fee!! Would advise to steer clear. Even on the phone, the customer service was atrocious! The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and her attitude was all round distasteful.”
“Horrible horrible customer service, they were cheapest but definitely not worth it. Had an accident, were horrible to me on the phone about it, also charged me £25 admin fee when I changed address, wouldn't add my partner onto the insurance as he's self employed, etc. DO NOT USE!!! Not worth it at all.”
“Bad customer service, was hung up on. Was paying £48 a month and renewal price was £70! They price walk which is soon illegal. Highest charges iv ever encountered to change a car over. And told i had £30 outstanding, now emailing me saying its £65!
If i was a new customer price would have been £49 a month, again argued with over the phone even though I had the quote infront of me. Went with another insurance company and have more perks than i ever did with goskippy and i was a 5yr no claims customer”
“After getting a quote on line, I found these pretty cheap and decided to go ahead with the car insurance quote they give me. Turns out they only accept certain bank accounts, which is UK banks only. I bank with monzo which is UK based but apparently its not. I then mentioned I have a starling account but also this is not acceptable for some reason! They were quite happy for me to look elsewhere for insurance.”
“They decided to cancel my policy when I changed address but funnily enough I move too a more affluent community.. i couldn't believe it! The women I spoke too from customer service was also unbelievably rude and sounded like she was taking my call from the middle of a circus! Avoid at all costs!
All worked out well for me now though as I have gone from 3rd party fire and theft insurance with skippy to fully comp for the same price with MCE keep searching everyone...”
“I have been with Go Skippy for the last 5 years or more and never had a problem and insurance has always been cheapest on the market.
Since my new policy started on the 31 oct this year, only 21 days since im wanting to cange my car details I am being charged just over £900 this year. If I was a new customer on a comparison site I have been quoted £715. So being punished for staying with the same company and not new customer.”
“Misleading insurance company as they don't post the correct information on there website they tell you its upto you to check rhe information on the DVLA site , and then THEY cancel your insurance & charge you £75.00. Very disgusting and would never go with this company again. Also very bad customer service when receiving emails”

Set up policy without my permission
When my policy came to an end I declined to renew my policy due to finding a cheaper deal at literally half the price they quoted, yet they have still gone ahead in setting up the renewal and even informed creation credit to set up the direct debit. I have continuously contacted go Skippy via telephone conversations and emails informing that I do not agree to the renewal and have also replied back to creation informing them. I am getting no where and also having trouble now with setting up my new insurance with the company of my choice as they are saying I already have insurance. I have continuously informed go Skippy I do not require this insurance and have not signed or agreed to this yet they have still gone ahead with setting up a policy that I have never agreed to. This has caused me worry and stress and problems setting up my insurance elsewhere. I am disgusted with this and warm anyone to be careful of this company. I certainly will not trust this company again in the future. I have been informed today by my bank that a direct debit has been set up with creation on behalf of go Skippy even though I have never given authorisation for this to happen. Disgusted with the incompetence and ignorance I have and still am enduring with this company. On reading other reviews on other review sites I see that this is a common thing with go Skippy, where other people are experiencing the exact same issue. Terrible.. AVOID this company”
