“I bought this product today not realising that I had somehow selected the roadside cover. On reading through the documents, it stated that I could cancel this roadside cover with a refund in full of the premium.
When talking to an agent, I was told this cover was standard with my policy and could not be removed although the letter said otherwise.
If I wanted to cancel the whole insurance policy then I would have to pay a £25 fee.

“Would not except payment on line after 6 goes and than had the audacity to charge me £20 because i had to phone up to pay.

“I was an existing customer with go skippy for 2 years but I got a better deal for my renewal by £300 with go skippy on compare the market.com, there is no loyalty rewards for staying with them and they refused to match there own quote on comparison websites making I had to go the long winded way round to get insured.”

“My insurance was due for a renewal I rang twice to say that the price they quoted me was more expensive than on the comparison websites, not once did they offer to match or change the price. Customer service was quite rude and seemed not bothered whether I cancelled or not.
They also renewed my quote without me giving the go ahead, eventually I cancelled and then opened a new policy but cheaper.
Moral of the story is best thing to do is use a comparison website than waste your time thinking as a loyal customer your quote would go down or they would make an effort to keep

“Just wanted to change my renewal payment from annual to monthly. Took 30 minutes +, was cut off twice, very difficult to understand the person who seemed to pause before every instruction as if not knowing the next step .”

“They don’t listen to you! Loyalty means nothing at all!! Your insurance renewal quotes do not reflect their appreciation to customers for them to stay!! Two years I have been with them and last year not by choice!! This years (3rd) is higher than last year! Absolute joke. And then to change over for a new car is expensive! So not worth staying! The customer service you can tell they are only there for a pay check.”

“Payed for car insurance online then rang them 30mins later to tell them I had put wrong starting date for insurance. They charged me £25 to cancel existing policy I submitted another online quote and payment with right date so I have sent two payments thought it was bad customer service to charge the £25 for honest mistake when they hadn’t even received my first payment yet so I’ve now submitted 2 payments and waiting for a partial refund from 1st didn’t think they would charge as hadn’t used any services within the first 14 days bad customer service experience”

“I tried to pay for a car insurance policy as a referral from GoCompare.com; when authenticating with my bank the GoSkippy payment page timed out. I then tried to go through the process again, but my initial quote identifier was no longer usable (message about "Session timed out")
Trying to get this resolved through GoSkippy was a pain - initially blaming my bank for "Credit check failures" (?).
I was told this needed to be resolved via a phone call - they then called me, and said taking out a policy via phone would include a surchage of £20 beyond an online price!”
