“Terrible. They took £566 out of my account for car insurance. 2 months later I received a letter from askMID to say my vehicle is not on the motor insurance database.
I was on the phone to them for 44 minutes and they said there was no trace of my policy and I had to send my bank statement via email, which I did. They then said they would call me back in a few minutes, no call back.
I rang them again the following day, another 40 minutes on the phone, no details recorded from my previous call and now I'm waiting for a call back again...”

“I have bought insurance with goskippy from comparison site. then they took initial deposit and send me email regarding copy of driving licence which i was posted them. they also took next month payment. then i got email again that your insurance will be cancelled if you will not provide copy of your licence, when i called them they told me it was already cancelled three week before.when i asked them why they took next month installment if already cancelled the policy. their reply was we need cancellation fee worth£ 75 so we took this amount but when i ask them that installments is bigger than cancellation fee they replied they will refund me the rest. which i never got back.
i also asked them if i can resend them copy of my driving licence again they replied sorry buy new policy and pay deposit again. Please stay away horrible experience.”
“I had fully comp insurance with Go Skippy and i got demanding and threatening emails from their team every other week saying they would cancel insurance if I failed to prove certain things. I sent all of the information to them 4 times before they accepted that I had sent them.
After this was finally cleared up the service was still not cleared up. I phoned up to pay a lump off my policy and was told that my monthly payments would be lowered as a result, this did not happen and they took out the full previous amount. Again customer services were awful, refusing that I had even rang up and would not as much as apologise and adjust the payments from then on.
I had to hang up and phone another person who was still of no help and then addressed with with a negative tone.
After an email complaint I received an phone call but again this was not helpful. The made no attempt to apologise but agreed to amend the payments from then on.
The payments again were not changed so I rang up to cancel, was charged £50 and then they refused to refund the money I had paid until they received a physical copy of my insurance certificate, of which I never received, merely a digital copy.
Car insurance should not be this difficult to set up, no other company have been like this with me before and I will never use Go Skippy again!”

“Stay well away, firstly you can never contact them you will be on hold on average for 20-40 mins, also they charge huge amounts to call them, unfortantly I was involved in a accident which wasn't my fault, they were unhelpful and offered NO assistance, my phone bill was £168 for a month after trying to get into contact with them for 2 weeks I eventually made a complaint last week and was offered £10!!
The staff on the phones have no knowledge and seem unhappy to be working.

The customer experience I've had with Go Skippy is horrendous and has been very unbearable to say the least. Not to mention your lack of integrity. I had to forward back their own email to them when they started denying their own offers.
Not withstanding the lots of hidden charges in the policy. They wait for you to get committed and after the 14day cancellation period, the extra charges appear.
The quote for renewal after 10years no claims is more than the years before?!!! Unheard of.
No wonder the company is actually registered off shore to escape paying tax but can take money from taxpayers!!”
