“I Started a policy in October and have just sold my car ( I am not buying another) on trying to cancel my policy and gave reason of no car she asked why aren't I keeping my policy ??????I explained I have no car anymore and she informed me to cancel there is a £50 administration fee a £50 cancellation fee and a time of cover charge of £116.60 ( what the hell is this for?) She could not tell me what it was and said to email cancellation and they will break down the fees ! I am disgusted at the charges as when I took out cover I explained that I probably would end cover after 3-4 months and would there be charge to which I was told only cancellation fee !!! Worst insurance I've ever used in 18 yes of driving!”

“I was asked for my licence which i gave but then after i did i was asked for my counterpart which i didnt have and given 7 days, so i ordered a new licence but as this was the christmas period i would have to wait. Even though i told customer service my policy was still cancelled and im being charged 80 pounds even though i paid 175 to start with but what really wound me up was they tried to sell me home insurance after they cancelled my policy. This company is a joke and totally useless and i hope they shut down cause thats what they deserve. Total arseholes”

“I paid my car insurance for them to tell me I never and my car insurance policy would be cancelled so I sent them an email of a picture of my bank statements to prove that I paid it which they asked for , for them to cancel my insurance anyway 3 days later ! “Very rude staff and had received three letters, first telling me that my amended insurance certificate was included, which it was not! I have NO certificate of motor insurance!! Second letter informing me that I was in arrears of £200+ and to immediately call their Credit Control Department. Third letter just repeating what the 2nd letter stated. I am disgusted at the lack of communication, poor management of the Customer Service Department and not receiving my car insurance certificate. PLEASE if they come up of the comparison sites, AVOID! I wish I had seen this Reviews site beforehand, I would never have taken out my insurance with them!”

“I got a policy, my details were wrong, 2 hours on the phone with no resolution … the call handlers are a joke.
I asked for a refund & these jokers want £70.00 to cancel there fuck up.

“I bought car insurance yesterday with these clowns and uploaded all documents they asked for. My wife (secondary driver) license was 2 yr 11 months which was rounded to 3 yrs between the compare site and their system. I was told that due to this slight discrepancy my premium will go up by 133+50=£183 for no fault of mine. I did another comparison search and reduced my wife's license tenure to just 2 yrs and received the same quote. So basically all this fuss was just to extract more money. After on call for entire day with 5 different people explaining them the entire story every time, I decided to just cancel it. But I was told cancellation team do not talk over phone. I emailed them to cancel my policy and still waiting to receive an acknowledgement. I wish I would have read their review on this site before buying policy. But lesson learnt, if you see GoSkippy..Just Runnnnnn. These people will not honour the price they display on comparison sites and will definitely find some reason to humiliate you and get more money for one reason or other.”

“insured two cars and paid deposits totalling approximately £200 and then was told they did not recognise my 29 years no claims bonus , obviously i went somewhere else that did accept them but go skippy wankers are now trying to charge me £50 per policy to cancel even though ive had no cover and paid 2 months cover per vehicle . i was misled over the cover so why should i lose my deposits and pay a fine to these tossers , i will see them in court as they will not respond to email as they are based in south africa and will not reason with me as the customer service people read a script to me and have no common sense .”

“I've insured with them, and after a short period they asked me for proof of my occupation.
I've forwarded to them a official legit email from 3rd party confirming my occupation, but they said they accept it only in pdf format. Customer service proved very informal and really rude. I've explained them I don't have time and I'm traveling a lot due to work commitments and without any notice they sent me a text stating my policy is being canceled. Big Advice don't go for this insurance. And advice to go Skippy I would do all I cant to get my money back. They are just simply stealing peoples money. This is a SCAM company. Watch dog will be aware of this.”

“After sending my proof of NCD and asking them to change the period from 2 to 3 years, they cancelled my policy due to "high risk criteria" although i had no claim within the last 3 years. ended up losing out on my deposit. Save yourself the time and money and never deal with them.”

“After a very small incident (a bump on a parking lot) that cost the insurance tops 100 pounds I've received a letter saying that "my policy represents a high risk to them and would be cancelled within 7 days (23/12/16)". Yeap, so now, just before Christmas holidays I need to run and find another insurance company!
Called to try and understand but they cannot provide any details. Just ridiculous. Have always paid on time, never had a claim before that and this is how they treat customers!”

“Broad day light Thugs.........
I took out a motor insurance policy and made sure i asked questions before signing up and yes i was told the policy would cover my needs.
The sales man fed me with lies, miss sold me an insurance policy and never sent me a policy document so as to cross check on what i had signed up for. When i asked for the policy document they made sure they took there time and sent it after the cooling period. Because i was on a pay monthly programme and wasn't satisfied with the policy i cancelled my membership. The next thing i get is a letter asking me to pay the whole years insurance because i had exited the contract.
Normally one would charge you about £70 for early termination of contract but these guys want me to pay the rest of the £397.34 which i would have paid if i carried on until end of contract.
These are thugs, even after asking for all sorts of documentation the service is poor, not professional at all. I am not going to give them even a penny, let the chase begin.”

“Absolutely the worst customer service. I have had to set aside 1 hour every time I wished to speak to your company and spend more time on hold (usually more than 40 minutes) than I have speaking to advisers. The company are suppose to refund me more than £97 and have passed me between advisers every time I have called, even expecting me, as the customer, to visit my bank on more than one occasion to locate money they have misplaced. I am still awaiting a refund and see no real solution to this problem as they refuse to issue the money via cheque or to an open account.”
