“Appaling service - There was a mistake on my insurance policy from Compare the Market .com
and they are charging me £60 to chantge a date in the licence
Im cancelling my policy but the customer services team dont have a calue and the omnly way to cancel is via email whgich you dont get a reply.. i am left without insurance and stranded...

“*I canceled my car insurance with those people after one year only. The reasons are simple:
1. They increased the policy amount on my policy 20% more because I did not pay a deposit for my first year.
2. Unprofessional customer agents who are extremely rude and unhelpful at all.
3. When I cancelled my policy I had to speak to 4 agents for more than 30 minutes who kept transfer me between each of them without any further help by them.
4. They charged me £50 for changing my address and did not send me any confirmation email for that, even when the agent promised that he will do that within minutes but I did not receive any thing!!!.
5. When they sent me the renewal document, they stated that I have to pay £50 + cover for the time until my first year policy ends if I called them after two days from the date of their letter.
6. Their customer lines are BUSY ALL THE TIME!!!.
**My advice that you better go with well-known company and pay more other than go with those cheap company. Plus, this hassle is only to cancel my policy but imagine if I had to make a claim!! that would be a disastrous.”

“this company has many hidden charges and they will make you pay for their mistakes. if you try to solve it by calling them they will keep you passing from credit department to sales department and to customer service. where you have to repeat your whole story. they charged me 550 pound for 10 day insurance even when i tried to cancel it before 14 days they denied it. it was fault of one of the customer service but still i have to pay for that. so friends be careful with this company. if you need more information just give me comment i will provide you with everything.”

they sent me a quotation for the next year which is more than double price than the current year( the same car) , although i am an existing costumer with them , they should provide a discount for the following year , not to double the price

“Do not use go skippy I was with go skippy for 2 year I renewed In July to start the first of august after paying deposit first monthly instalment would be 1st of September I had an incident on the 10th but didn't claim atall but lost the car so I needed to cancel my insurance so after ringing 5 times been passed from one African person to the next I finally got them to understand I wanted to cancel and not claim where I was told I had to email having emailed 2 days ago I hear nothing back so I can't sort any insurance for a new car because I am waiting to hear on my no claims certificate n if I get a cancellation fee although I don't think I should as I had their cover for 10 days this year I think they got enough with the 260 deposit I payed but like I said I am still waiting I'd getore sense out of my 4 year old also I asked to complain about the fact I had to email to cancel and couldn't actually speak to an actual person who can deal with the cancellation and she replies to complain you have to email to complaints so no real person to talk to their then either pissin jokes”
“Like talking to a brick wall, every email responded to by a different member of staff who does not seem to know anything about my case. I bought the policy through comparethemarket.com for £310.18 and admittedly I'd missed the part about disclosing points on your licence. To confirm my contract with Goskippy they requested all the usual documents and the points (3 points) came to light to which they responded there is a material discrepancy in my licence information. They tried to charge £86.04 + £50 administration fee on top of the original premium. Before responding to this letter I updated my information on comparethemarket.com and requested new quotes. Goskippy came up at the top of the list again with exactly the same amount as the original quote (£310.18) even in light of the points information.
I am now trying to cancel the policy with them as they wont drop their charges and fees but they are still trying to get me to jump through more hoops, charge me for the time all this emailing to and throw has taken (5 days) and charge admin fees.
meanwhile I have no insurance, the worst experience I've had of buying car insurance in 12 years.

I bought another car 2 month before my policy on old car was due to run out and they said they would not insure me on that policy so they said I was going to lose my year no claims due to this and it was up to me to cancel my policy then get charged the fee and then start up a new policy pay a new deposit etc! They were not helpful at all”
