“Appalling service!
I bought GoSkippy Premium Insurance (policy ref.PAKP13BR01, underwriter Somerset Bridge) as have caring responsibilities and wanted to ensure to have an alternative car if there was any incident. I made a claim (reference: BC697469) on 15th September due to an incident and today has been 7 days and the car is still in my driveway.
The underwriter Somerset Bridge allocated the repair distributor to a Vizion Network but could not find a 'manufacturer-approved garage' for 5 days (in a city like Manchester) after the incident and could not provide a timeline.
Consequentially, I was forced to find my garage and pay GBP 200 for using the garage; not to mention I am not eligible for a courtesy vehicle with this scheme and had to arrange my vehicle pickup/drop to the site.
Despite all of this, it's been 7+ days and Somerset Bridge has not approved the new estimate and I've had no comments from any of the parties involved.”

“The communication and what they actually required was terrible. Most of the staff didn’t have a clue about what was going on and if they would’ve stated 2 months, yes 2 months ago the actual underlying reason for they’re multiple documentation requests (1 at a time, 1 by 1!!), then I wouldn’t have suffered 2 months of complete stress!! They wanted me to produce a fraudulent document and I refused to do it!! I provided them with many legal documents and legal id, without knowing the reason why?? I explained to them by phone and email of my situation and that I was changing my living address as I moved into a property 1 day before I purchased the vehicle. They have caused me nothing but stress, ruined my holiday and I received a warning at work as I was on the phone to them for an hour when I only had a 45 minute break!!! I will never use them again, and strongly advise others to do the same!”

“Go skippy have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I called to add an additional driver and was told I'd be contacted in 48 hours as they need to speak to underwriters. This happened 4 times each time I called 48 hours apart. I was then finally given a quote and when discussing, the advisor hung up the call and didn't call me back. I finally called back twice and got through. I was also being charged an admin fee over the phone which was £15 more than online although the online portal directed me to call and discuss over the phone. It's been a terrible experience and the customer service is absolutely awful.”

I didn’t contact as no need due to automatic renewal to discover they cancelled my policy! Was s left with no choice but to pay a £90 deposit, now have to pay £85 on the 8th even though I was told no payments until the 26th (my normal pay date) so now because of someone not listening properly I’m nearly £300 out of pocket, nearly an hour on the phone to them and no luck or any understanding. Awful service.”

“I strongly advise against using this insurance company. I purchased a policy and paid a deposit for monthly insurance. However, I had to cancel the policy within 27 days, and they charged me an extra £313.46. I had a terrible experience and spent a lot of time trying to reach them, but they refused to help. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.”

“They’ve cancelled my insurance because 2nd driver had an EU license (which they didn’t state anywhere when joining) but it could of been easily fixed if they spoke to me on the matter and could of taken him off then it would of been resolved, he is my father in law from Ireland who comes over every month and wanted a ride but they jumped to take me off straight away after I gave them all the documents they requested which was a 4 week process as different employee over the phone was asking for different stuff. So all in all was a hole big waste of time !!!
Customer service was fairly okay but poor communication between themselves throughout the company, different employees told me one thing and another told me another on a case that was on going. Didn’t seem to understand company policy.
As well as trying to sort this situation out you cannot speak to head office over the phone only by email which says it can take up to 4-6 week for a reply which won’t help at all as then the insurance will have already been cancelled.”
