“They took my money and then cancelled almost immediately when I was unable to upload my no claims bonus and driver summary in the IT format demanded. The help line was based, I believe, in South Africa and the responses were difficult to understand due to background noise. They refused a full refund claiming small print business terms. The worst thing is that they registered me with underwriters as having been refused insurance so I cannot get car insurance anywhere. It seems that their business terms are deliberately designed to make profit out of cancellations.”

“Paid my insurance renewal on 19.08.23 and I haven't received any policy document yet. Made few calls to the customer service but no documents yet. I suppose I'm driving with no insurance today. This is a serious matter. I need to buy the insurance somewhere, ask for a refund a most important raise a complain to the financial conduct authority.”

“The worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with.
Want over £600 more to change vehicle when other companies are less.
To put this into perspective, they want £78 a month when others want £38. Plus they want £50 admin charge and £260 one off fee too.
It’s absolutely disgusting that they can quote £600 more than other providers for exactly the same cover.
Further to this, they can’t even quote a cancellation fee over the phone…
Honestly in 15 years of driving I’ve never ever dealt with such an awful insurance company.
I’d like someone to contact me to resolve this - I want to cancel this ridiculous policy and not pay your ridiculous get out charges.”

“Go skippy is all about extortionist ,they charge unnecessarily by saying we need to do amendments to your policy & premium charges are hefty. I was misled & charged money for the mistake that was done by the advisor that I spoke. Even no claim bonus i was being ask to submit which is less than 1 year old which doesn’t specify at all on terms & conditions or any where on portal. This things has to be advised to customers before selling a policy.”

“Absolutely appalling customer service, the (non uk based) call centre staff are rude, incompetent, and put the phone down on you whilst you’re on hold.
My wife had a car insured with GoSkippy, she paid over £300 in full for the policy.
She then bought a new car and paid over £300 in full again, to change the vehicle on the policy. (We have the bank statements)
She was then contacted by GoSkippy informing her, if she didn’t start to pay the outstanding credit on the new policy, she would have the insurance cancelled?!?
It became apparent, that rather than changing the car on the policy, GoSkippy had started an additional one, to be paid monthly!?!
After many emails and hours of phone calls explaining that this was their mistake and over £600 had already been paid, she had her insurance policy cancelled today. This was despite the fact she was promised she would remain insured on the last phone call. (I have a recording of this)
She now has to declare she has had a policy cancelled which has impact on the price of future insurance quotes. The average phone call was around 50 to 60 minutes, the call centre is very loud/busy and the line is terrible.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

“PLEASE READ THIS!!! Totaly waste your time. I have spoken with one of them agnet becouse on website is NO CHANCE to make new quote using their "costumer portal". Communication is on preshool Level. To bo honest children from school Speaking much more better than agent on Phone. Totaly zero English Level. Second think is he did quote and the amount of my monhtly payment was 168£ per calendar motnh. I ask him 4 times is that correct amount of money. He said YES SIR ONLY 168 PER MONTH. after one day I have recived info from Premium Credit becouse I set up Direct debit payment. Amount of money to paid 181£ !!!! I have been call Immieditly and trying explain situation. You know what they said? Sorry one of our agent make mistake he did not tell u correct amout of money.... I said how it possible i dont want to pay more now i want to pay 168. But they said it immposible It has been set up now to end policy...... Aarrrrr. I was angry. You know what that is no big difference but think is THE INSURANCE AGENT LIED ME!!!!! stay away from that insurance. No Worth your time. Unplesand People. Extremaly bad communication. Poor service. Never again.”

“Been with go skippy the last two years will not be going back next year . Took the deposit for the payment then never set up direct debit so had to pay two payments together and then they put the wrong date down and refuse to change the date . The employee from go skippy decided to pause the conversation and refused to come back stay away from this car insurance”
