Stay away, not very professional. They new my policy was cancelled 9 days before taking a direct debit. Can't contact as out of the UK call centre. Had phone put down on me 3 times. So they took my money now waiting after 6 days as they said funds not cleared yet. Its a direct debit and telling me the payment will have reductions. I want to take them to the small claims court, but refuse to give me there legal department email. Worst company I have ever dealt with. STAY CLEAR

I do not recommend I got a car inssurance with them, fist I had to pay around£85 to get the inssurance the was about £70 a month, I had the policy for a month. Before the policy was approved I needed to sent more documents and sign a paper a agreement with them to take the instalment which month, if I would not have done it by a specific date they would cancel my policy. I cancelled the inssurance policy then i received a letter to say that I need to pay £164.46 on top. Another inssurance are much cheaper to cancel a policy.

Go Skippy cancellation fees I cancelled my insurance today as I had sold my car and didn't need the policy. Go Skippy charged me £441 for the original policy of which I have only had for 2 months. I spoke to a advisor today to cancel the policy and they only offered me £211 back of which I questioned. The advisor stated there was £75 cancellation fee and a £93 broker fee so in total deductions of £168,I questioned this and in my policy T&c there was a mention of £75 cancellation fee but no mention of a £93 broker fee I will be taking my case to the financial ombudsman as this is a total rip off

As someone said earlier, they are a rip off!! Very nice indeed, before you have to cancel a policy. Why would you not think that a household would have more than one car? Providing bad service to one person could mean you lose the business of other 2 or 3vehicles. We sold the vehicle that we had the insurance on it and they want £175 cancellation fee. All admin fees. Absolut rip off! We have other 2 vehicles registered with them, safe to say we will wait for the insurance to end and we will never eve use them again. Scammers...not customer friendly, would and will not recommend! Don't even bother to reply with the same s**t that you reply just to write something down. As it's absolutely useless to say "please contact us to come to a resolution", you should've done that on the phone earlier.

Absolutely the biggest scam I’ve ever witnessed this company is my moterbike was stolen and I was forced to cancel my policy as they refused to re insure a new moterbike for me so they took every single penny out of my settlement fee leaving me with nothing I received a lot of threatening emails from them saying I have 14 days to re insure with them and if I don’t I will be left with nothing please avoid them and go elsewhere.

Recently purchased a policy. Offered few things but the final policy documents were missing many of the add ons. When called the customer care, response was "pay extra or cancel the policy". They very well know that all the quotes are gone up in 6 days so I'll have no choice but to pay. Illegal tactics to extort money.

Absolutely awful insurance company. I switched to them in late July/early August as cover renewal was due, and they were reasonably priced compared to other robbers in industry. (My insurance renewal quote was more than double, despite no accidents in 6 years plus) Sadly, within a couple of months, a van driver insured in Romania smashed into side of my car at a roundabout after switching two lanes at last minute and trying to turn right at I went straight over. I called Goskippy, who seemed to be processing request for support as normal. Not having been in an accidental for a long time, I asked the customer service adviser what details I needed from the third party driver and asked did she need his license number. She said no, not now, and during latter stages of conversation, I advised that driver was now leaving. So after he left, she promptly asked for the registration to discover that this was insured out the country and asked for the green card number, having never mentioned this before. The driver was no longer present (he didn't speak English anyway), and I was told they couldn't proceed without this number. Lucky I got driver's manager's details then. However, I sat about for 4 hours on a busy B road, until manager could provide the document details, as he was not at office. I called multiple times asking to be moved to home location and they refused without details. Multiple phone calls in which I would get cut off due to signal or their ineptitude, or passed to wrong team, not call back as promised when unavailable, simply an sms asking me to call back, sit in a queue and repeat myself endlessly. Sadly, this is just the start. Instead of explaining the process, that I could claim against my comprehensive insurance, and then try claim back excess later, they told me if they passed me through to a third party company, they could deal with request for hire and also I would pay no excess up front. Sounds too good? It was. The third party company line dropped out, and I had no way to contact them, so back I went to go Skippy, who I went round in circles with, before being transferred again, only to be told by third party, they don't deal with foreign insurance company accidents, but they would arrange a hire, but they also couldn't recover me home. So back to Go skippy.. Again It's now 6pm , I've had no lunch, I've got a migraine after accident, partly due to stress of dealing with Go Skippy, and guess what, no one available in that team, they will call me back. So I lose will to live and drive home with two doors smashed in and no passenger side front window, hoping vehicle is technically sound. I spent all weekend trying to speak to managers, raising complaints, trying to get a solution. I was told to speak directly to this party insurer's uk handler, who referred me back to my own insurance company. Complaints were basically ignored and I was told the whole thing was my fault, even though the complaint manager didn't listen to all calls, only one. Many calls and hours later, we agree to progress via my comprehensive insurance. This is by this point almost a week later. From here, you would think it would be straight forward, but no, not a chance. They were reasonably quick to offer a settlement figure, but I had to chase them continuously for information, as nothing is ever coming from them, and still at this point, I was not sure who was supposed to be dealing with my injury claim.. Eventually, after some time, I was out provided a document saying that they would pay X minus excess.. Happy days... Or not So, payment sat in limbo, unpaid, waiting for finance to authorise payment. Many calls and hours later, success, your payment has been made and will be with you in few days. Except it wasn't. More calls, more time wasted, which might be a good time to mention that the initial call centre you are in contact with is in South Africa, and you will be asked to confirm every detail, to be told you will be transferred elsewhere, as they can't help you. They will ask you information you have already told them several times, as they don't understand or simply aren't listening, and if you lucky, you will be passed through to another team to repeat every detail, to be passed through to another team to repeat every detail again, and realistically, probably be given wrong information, and have to start all over again. So, payments, 5 working days, no payment, despite being told the day before it would be in my account on 5th working day and they had confirmed that finance team had in fact confirmed this. I call to, to be told, the payment was never made for some reason, and that it would be made at some point soon and they would confirm when finance had issued payment No call, no email, no messages, but eventually after calling several times and being told they were waiting for a reply from finance team, a payment was issued and would be in my account next day as they were issuing it as a priority payment. Guess what? It wasn't, and by this point, it's not even a shock. More calls, to be told it wasn't issued as a priority payment at all, and would be there in 3-5 working days. Payment eventually did turn up, but sorry story doesn't end there. Excess recovery claim, several weeks later had not even been started, and no contact made with third party insurance company. It took multiple calls from me to get this moving, and I finally thought ok, this is going in right direction, only to find out today, they have passed over the excess claim recovery to the third party hire car provider, who are taking legal action against the insurance company who are not responding. However, the third party company seemed to know nothing about this, and had not got necessary information they need to approach insurance company, and that they don't actually deal with claiming back excess usually, and that this is usually dealt with by the insurance company (chance would be fine thing) No one had informed me that they were trying to farm this out, asked my consent etc So, here I am almost two months on from accident, and still no idea who is dealing with trying to recover my excess, getting ready for another round of calls tomorrow. Truly the worst insurance company in my 25 years of driving

Do not use this Company as their service is appalling Insured my van and rang to get an invoice. Was given 3 separate numbers to call who all said they couldn’t help me. They are as comical as their name. I have now cancelled the insurance after a month and been told no further payment is due despite the fact I paid full 12 month up front.

The worst insurance company I have ever been with if I could give no stars I would I believe they operate a money-making scheme by giving out insurance and then asking for proof of address and proof of ID after 4- 5 months why after so long understandable at the start of insurance but when you sent the paperwork they require they still cancel to then put a fee of £75 and give you back £80 for 7-month insurance remaining what a joke going to report to the financial ombudsman compare sites always come to the cheaps but then mess around they use other names too so watch out vavista so beware

Really upset that recurring charges of £25 was made from my bank just because there was access to my bank details. This charges were made because I did not see the email to sign my Go skippy contract. I already have a policy number and direct debit made for my insurance cover/payments. This email was in my spam folder . The HR team should have sent out a letter or made phone call further to the email.. There was no effort to contact me since I did not respond to my email, they just kept on taking £25 from my account + the Insurance policy cover. This is just plain extortion in fine prints for no apparent justifiable reason , the charges was because they sent emails to remind me to sign the contract, each email sent cost £25, how absurd and a bold font to commit fraud.

Would not recommend Goskippy to anyone. Absolutely huge sum of money to cancel my policy. (Well over £200). Everything you change or amend with them is an extortionate amount of money. STAY CLEAR OF GO SKIPPY.
