Chose car insurance via a cost comparison website one month ago paid for an entire year for three drivers and have had nothing but headache since then
Complicated system for document submission that just did not work for me inundated with daily text messages and emails sent from half a dozen different named individuals non of whom read / acknowledged/ responded when I replied to the emails enclosing PDF copies of documents being requested
Eventually spoke to someone yesterday who offered a solution but before I could actually try this suggestion I receive a note today that the policy was cancelled
And now I am being told it will take 28 days for the refund
So I am without cover
And having to pay for alternative cover while I wait for the refund
Absolute nightmare”

“Threat of policy cancellation and enormous charges on the name of policy terms
They charged me extra £50 only for addition of new vehicle on the same policy even i have paid my extra premium £342 for the same policy. Poor services and bumping the customers on the name of business terms.”

“I set up a policy on line, but I noticed a mistake on the policy when it came through, only 3 hours later I was able to get through to them as the phone line wouldn’t accept my prompts to choose what department I wanted, kept going round in circles.
I wanted to correct the issue and payments but she was very cold to me and told me I had to cancel and pay cancellation charges and go on line and start again.
Disgusting company .”

“we took £207 deposit paid on 11.10.2024. then on 08.11.2024 he took our £193...and closed our insurance on the same day and didn't give us a chance to send the documents and now they want another £107.
I do not recommend”

“I had a very disappointing experience with GoSkippy. After a year of holding a policy with them, I found out they declined to renew my car insurance without providing any explanation or notifying me. I reached out to them multiple times over the phone, and each time, I was told that my renewal quote wasn’t ready. Eventually, after being transferred to different departments and waiting on hold for over 40 minutes, someone finally confirmed that my policy wouldn’t be renewed.
I was a reliable customer, with no accidents, late payments, or claims, and I even paid my premiums six months in advance. Yet, I was left without coverage and no clear reason as to why they refused to renew my policy. The lack of communication and transparency from GoSkipy was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
If you’re looking for reliable insurance with responsive customer service, I would not recommend GoSkipy based on my experience.”

“I had to change my car over as the one which was insured had failed an MOT, these guys refused to alow the change and insisted i take out temp cover, i argued that without an MOT i could not drive the car which was insured but they refused to help and i am several hundred quid down on temp cover, i have emailed in response to this on 14th Oct and still not had a response, they have blocked my online account so i cant make online changes. avoid these guys if you can”

“Got best quote from Go Skippy via money supermarket but when I came to pay they did not send me the secure payment code! I have been trying for 2 days to pay for my car insurance and all I want is someone to ring me with the code! Moneysupermarket have messaged to say they will respond to my message within 2 working days which is useless as my insurance expires on Monday. Please help.”

“Wouldn't even bother insuring anything through this company... tried to cancel my car insurance as my car broke and I no longer have it and they are trying to charge me £268 to cancel.... and wownt even give me a breakdown of cost to why they are charging so much!!! I get they want to charge somthing for the cancellation but £268 and not showing me why it is that much is so wrong...”

“It's a pity you cannot select minus 5 stars as this company are a bunch of amateurs.
After a misunderstanding regarding no claims discount these money grabbing amateurs have cancelled my policy after a month's cover and it has cost me 6 times more than the 1 months premium. They cancelled my cover and charged me £75 for cancelling it. They failed to even offer me another quote
I would advise that nobody sane should not use this terrible company”

“Poor service staff need more training called up as my new quote arrived by email was not happy with quote so called up member of staff gave the new price and discount but told me I needed to contact them the following week as they could not do the quote straight away contacted today 7 11 2024 to be told the member of staff gave me the wrong quote they don't no what they are doing also at one point the staff I spoke to laughed that's so unprofessional very disappointed I will be looking to change”
