“Avoid at all cost. Took £300 pound only to cancel my policy a week later due to a discrepancy with a document. Watford Ins Co Europe Limited are the underwriters for GoSkippy so don't be fooled by there name. They then told me there would be no refund. Sent me a document stating Its would be cancled on the 14th them another document stating it will be cancled on the 31st looking for any way to take your money. All insurance companies are doing this now, they all have underwriters or should I say CROOKS. Just be carful when looking for insurance.

I took out a car insurance policy in November 21. I paid upfront for November including a fee. Go skippy set up my Direct debit too early, for the 23rd November and when I tried to change it, as I didn’t get paid until 25th. (2 days later) I was not allowed to until I paid the first payment.
I was assured that all that would happen would be that once the payment is rejected they would recall for it over the next 7 days again.
They then took the money and stole an additional 25 pounds from my account as a late payment charge. Despite it only being the first month and not even late for December, as this was in November.
They have refused to refund it and when I called to discuss, the call handler wasn’t listening and took me personally and went quiet, huffing and puffing, refused to see this is not good customer service and then rudely cut the call as so not to have to deal with it. Basically hung up on me.
After this year I will not be using this company again.
I gave 1 star as had no other options but If I could put No stars I would.

“I asked for a no claim bonus proof to insure another car and I was refused!! they said that I can have it on 1 car but the other provided still asks me for one even. Feeling like suddenly my driving experience and no claims over the years are dissapearing overnight. Glad they have no problem into taking the direct debit every month. ABSURD”
“Rubbish service! There was an error on my policy due to an error on their website. I checked all the details were correct before I proceeded to pay then after when I checked the documents, an occupation was incorrect. They tried to charge me over £300 to amend it. I asked to cancel and they gave me 2 different refund amounts, a lower one if I just cancel and omand a higher one if I take another policy with them. This isn’t treating customers fairly and I had to put a lot of effort in as a customer. Poor service to say the least.”

“I signed up for an Insurance policy on 09 October and 5 days after, on 14 Oct they emailed me saying the policy will be cancelled that day at 23:59 PM. Called them to check under what reason the policy is going to be cancelled -- only thing they said, your account has been set up fraudulently - I mean what solid reason why is the underwriter cancelling it? Cannot answer, customer service don't even show empathy no matter how frustrated I was. Emailed Sommerset Bridge Ltd ( underwriter) coz no direct number to contact them. Kept requesting them to tell me why it is cancelled and the exact word they can say is:
"Your policy was cancelled due to fraud.
We use national fraud prevention databases and this policy was linking to fraudulent applications.
This is all we can disclose.
You have been charged a fee of £100 and time on cover."
How on earth, they have the guts to charge me for a service I did pay for one whole month but not able to use, and Go Skippy emailed me about a debt I owed for a service that has been cancelled on my behalf.
I mean this is absolutely unacceptable.
So, please if you are trying to sign with them, THINK NOT JUST TWICE -- THINK MULTIPLE TIMES!!! Because I'm telling you, I don't want anybody to be in the position where I have been.#
I regret not reading the reviews this company has. I could have saved the HASSLE and the DISSAPOINTMENTS.”
