SHAME ON YOU GOSKIPPY. What a joke. For me it’s a case of buy cheap buy twice. Gone back to my existing company LV. Only opted for goskippy because of price difference but they’re cheap for a reason. The personal information they require is outrageous: This is what they ask for after they took money out of my account. We require the following documentation: ? Proof of No Claims Bonus (If applicable) ? Copy of Driving Licence (For yourself and any named driver on the policy) ? Proof of Occupation (For yourself and any named driver on the policy)* ? Proof of Address (For yourself and any named driver on the policy)** ? Copy of photo page of Passport (For yourself and any named driver on the policy) *** ? V5 Document (For the insured vehicle) ? Photo of Vehicle and Vehicle Identification Number (For the insured vehicle) *Acceptable documents for Proof of Occupation include: ? Payslip dated within the last 3 months which clearly states your job title or a company headed letter, from your Employer which clearly shows your name and confirms your job title. **Acceptable documents for Proof of Address include: ? Utility or council tax bill – dated within the last three months So much hassle and time. I cancelled my policy two weeks before it started. And told there’s a £25 cancellation fee and 28 days to refund the full amount back into my account.

Nice too see you have a reviews section but 2 hrs ago I typed out a review and it's not been posted. What's the point of having a reviews section if you don't allow people too post bad reviews?

The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I could give a minus. stay clear of this company GoSkippy & Eldon Insurance. They are money grabbing, incompetent and rude. The left hand doesn't speak to the right and no one can give a straight answer. I put in a claim to be told I was covered and then I wasn't covered so all in all they are liars. All the positive comments on here are from GoSkippy employees and have you noticed that GoSkippy only reply to to the good feedback! Clear;y aren't fussed about people who have issues with them. And their fees... WHAT A JOKE !!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

On taking out policy they took payment from my card but then claimed there had been no payment and I was not covered. I eventually had to send screenshots of my account to prove I had paid. I then received a request to provide documents, which I did, to receive responses back saying I didn't need to provide documents. 2 weeks later, again requests for documents saying documents needed and insurance would be cancelled if I didn't provide. Again I sent them to be told you don't need to send us anything. Calls to customer service are the most stressful thing on the planet, you get to the point where they tell you they haven't sent an SMS you have on your phone, and that's when you actually get through. Just had to make a claim and valuation of loss was laughable. Insurance Obudsman is next stop. Even if it costs a few pounds more go elsewhere, you'll be better off in the end.

In 20 years of driving Go skippy are easily the worse insurance company I have every had any dealings with! I could not make simply changes to the policy without extortionate fees and when I came to cancel 5 months early due to the change of cars, I expected a refund but due to the high cancellation fee I actually owed them money! please steer clear!!!!

Not a trustable company at all. They just take your money first and later will ask you for a lot of documents to provide. Please don’t be fooled by their price

Disgusting Company! Do not use. Called to ask if my policy could have occasional business use added, I was informed that I cannot do that. Unlike my wife's insurance company whom added this for free to her insurance. In stead Go Skippy said they would have to charge me £75 to cancel my existing policy and open a new one under business for £1400. I have just had a quote from admiral insurance for £450, that's a thousand pounds cheaper. The foreign call center cut me off twice and forced me to keep phoning back, costing me more in phone calls. The phone operators did not understand me and kept getting my details wrong. I also authorised my wife to speak to them 3 times because they did not log it every time I called, despite asked them too every time.Thank god I did not have to claim through them as the customer service department is the worse I have experienced in any company. So after yet another call tonight, I have now been charged £75 to cancel my policy, even though I paid it fully upfront annually and have 2 months left on my policy. They have also cost me a small fortune in phone calls having to constantly call back. The automated phone system tells you , that you can speak to them via online chat. Well surprise surprise there is no online chat option on the website, so thanks for the phone bill GO Skippy, I will now tell every one to avoid you. I SAVED OVER £1000 (One thousand Pounds) by leaving and getting a different company, but Go Skippy charged me £75 to do it. ***Update Goskippy replied to my poor review on another website and said contact them. But they have refused to reply to my emails and now it has cost me £9 in phone calls. ****

I am being chased from a debt collection agency on behalf of Go Skippy of a sum £216.16 when I cancelled my policy with them last year. They falsely advised me when I had my Insurance out with them! I was involved in an accident where the 3rd party insurer went in the back of me! The 3rd party insurer and his insurance company admitted full liability to me on the phone and also spoken with my insurance company Go Skippy at the time and informed them the same. (easy claim, yes?, NO!) Well as the claim was proceeding Go Skippy said to me that they 3rd party insurer didn't admitted full liability and that they never did, they never advised me that they did either. So I was basically lying according to them. So anyway they closed down my claim and told me that there is nothing else they can do as I was 3rd Party Fire Theft and to seek a no sale no fee solicitor. Had I have been completely naive and took their word for it, then I would have lost alot of money. But instead I called the 3rd party insurer and a company called Enterprise who were helping with the claim and got the case reopened and the 3rd party insurer paid it to me direct. Not even such much as an apology for how they have treated me throughout this whole ordeal. And if that wasn't enough they are chasing me for debt that I don't owe them. I'm still trying to sort this out and have been on the phone to them for the past 1H 30Mins and still no resolution yet. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY!

If I could give a minus I would - randomly just added 700 to my insurance because my previous insurer only listed a maximum of nine (which is standard) on my no claims letter
