Admit they have taken out a fraudulent policy in the name of an elderly gentleman then harass him for the cost of the cancellation of the fraudulent policy unless he produces a crime reference number.

The person from GoSkippy told me wasn't possible. So I purchased another policy with GoSkippy for over £300 more, the following day I get a call saying we can transfer the old policy. TO LATE”

“I am seeing all the reviews underneath and I’m thinking… who is paying you?
I’ve had such an awful experience with this company. Rude customer adviser who just don’t listen to their customers. They increased my car insurance by double the price, I called to rectify this with them, but was told the contract rolled over. Surly how can something roll over without the customer agreeing to this?. I have since found a cheaper insurance. However, Goskippy are charging me cancellation fee which is unacceptable. Now they said there is an outstanding amount of £300 plus to pay. This company really confused me. I asked the lady on the phone to break this down to me but she couldn’t and said “ that’s what happens when you try and cancel early” I got so frustrated that I had to hang up the phone.
Whatever you do, please stay away from this company!!!!!”

“What an appalling and disgusting company. DO NOT TELL INSURANCE COMPANIES any hit if you don't expect to get paid, if someone hits your wing mirror, your premium will go UP, if you hit a pot-hole, YOU pay for your own bills but do not tell your insurance, they will just put your premium up - why because they can. This horrible firm even openly say they don't care what their paying customers think or want, this horrible company and all its staff should go broke, just let me know where to stand and laugh.
Our premiums went from £750 - £800 ish a year to a minimum £5700 a year, for a basic car now to a decent luxury car before.
By the way, 1 star is just to get this review, it by no way means there is anything We would do to save you whilst you all drowned in the pits of hell.”

“rang go skippy to change the vehicle…
I rang go skippy to change the vehicle on my policy.
They gave me a snall increased price of £5.34 plus £35 admin fee.
They were about to take payment when the lady said they would have to refer this back to the insurer and couldn't cover me for 24hrs.
I explained that in 24hrs time I was picking up my new car and would need the car to he covered but they said there was nothing they could do.
I rang the insurance company watford insurance company and they informed me that go skippy should just do the change over.
Got back intouch with go shippy and they have now informed me it's going to take 48hrs to change the car on the policy.
I asked them to cancel the policy but they wanted £135 in cancellation fees and I wouldn't receive eneything back.
They are just a set of liars and don't help customers at all and I have sent a complaint of to the financial ombudsman
Stay well clear of these cowboys cos they just feed you lies and give you the runaround

“All seemed OK until I needed to change, and then subsequently cancel my car insurance policy.
They charge £45 admin fee to change the vehicle covered and £75 fee to cancel your policy.
I have recently changed my vehicle insurance between two cars as one was undergoing repairs. I had no choice but to switch it three times at a charge of £45 each time, after I had my car properly repaired I tried to switch the cover back onto the original vehicle. Go skippy said "No, system only allows three changes" even though the car I wanted to move the insurance to was the original one I took the policy out on!
Inflexible and unhelpful service, I would avoid in future and go for one of the main stream car insurance companies.
Cost me an extra £225 in fees and charges for effectively 7 months cover.
Not such a bargain in the end!

“Absolute rip off of a company had insurance for 2 weeks and cancelled it they told me they would keep it open for 2 weeks incase I found a new car which I never baring in mind I paid a full month in advance for goskippy to then try hit me with a £325 cancellation fee 2 week after I already cancelled call handlers are rude and won’t let you speak offered them £1 a week which I shouldn’t be paying which they refused anyway for 2 weeks of insurance I paid for a month in advance no mention when I called to cancel that this fee would apply threats of debt agency’s etc crooks STAY WELL CLEAR trying to charge me £325+£122 I already paid for 2 weeks of insurance”

“Avoid like the plague. Abysmal company ripping off hard working people. Someone went into the back off me on 29/12/23. Couldn't get through to GoSkippy via phone so filled in their online form. I tried every day until 5/1/24 to contact them by phone. In the meantime the other insurance company representing the other party involved admitted fault, wrote my car off, disposed of my car and settled my claim. I informed dvla etc and received all relevant documents to state I no longer owned the car and the car had been destroyed. On 8/1/24 GoSkippy collected the direct debit from my bank account. I immediately cancelled any further payments. On 10/1/24 GoSkippy finally got back to me re: my accident. I was passed from one person to another for nearly an hour. After repeating myself to numerous people, who are rude and unprofessional,I also explained I had cancelled my direct debit. I finally thought the matter was dealt with. How wrong was I? I'm now receiving threatening emails and letters because I haven't paid £89 cancellation fee...their reasoning is I owe it because I cancelled my policy...why would I carry on paying insurance on a car that I no longer own and no longer exists? They have been no help whatsoever with my accident but are treating me like a criminal with threats of debt collectors...bring it on GoSkippy the scam artists of insurance companies”

“Today 25th 2024 January at 11:04 am just foned to cancel my policy as was getting it cheaper elsewere for a new car i got told with all the charges it would be £75.00 then the advisor put me on hold for a couple mins . Then came back on the fone and said to me your d/d comes off in 2 days time amount £47 pound once that comes off there will be a cancellation charge of £90 pounds and my policy would be cancelled as of 23:59 on the 25th January 2024 so all in with 3and a half weeks of insurance its £137 pounds to cancel the policy after 3 and a half weeks of cover stay well clear of this company they are shocking”

“They do not offer a 14 day cooling off period, which is the law. They tried to change my policy, and tried to charge £50 for the privilege! I said I did not want to go ahead with the change and wanted to cancel, they tried to charge me £25 even though I was within the 14 days, and the policy hadn’t even started!!!”
