“This is the worst insurance company I have had the misfortune of having a policy with. Ridiculous administration fees for small changes, rude and difficult to understand staff. Went with them after a 'compare the market' search, will be using neither in future. Unfortunately have to stay with them for the year as they charge a hefty fee to cancel even within 14 days.”
“Atrocious service. Whenever i called up the only thing they were interested in talking about was offering me home insurance every time. When i cancelled the policy they charged me time on cover which i paid over the phone only for a debt collection agency to contact me two weeks later saying i hadn't paid. By far the worst company i've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.”

I had to take out temporary insurance and then a whole new policy with another company. When they finally replied they charged me for having to cancel, even though I didn't have a choice. “had an accident, reported it. I was stationary at the time of impact...what has goskippy done??? Put my policy up 700 pounds and took three years no claims off me and not even contacted other insurance company. Have also helped themsevles to money from my bank and tried to blame creditors. Arrogant call centre staff, and I do not understand why they should be allowed to trade in UK as they use South African laws to obtain money from us.

“I'm with go skippy I am 26 and get charged £160 amonth for insurance and thats tpft no brake down cover or f##k all, they gave me a date to take money out my back but they always try taking it a week prior to the date given and I get bank charges it's unfair I will not be going back with them in March when my policy runs out they tried charging me £180 to swap insurance over to my new car that's after paying nearly £400 to set my monthly payments up i wouldn't recommend them to any one.”
“Absolutely dire. Do not get insurance with this company. Keep you on hold for ages and if you're calling from a mobile you get charged for the privilege. Admin charges apply to absolutely everything. Customer service advisers are rude and unhelpful. They also refused to provide proof of my no claims. I dread to think what they will be like if I ever have to make a claim. Insurance cover may be cheap, but when you take into account admin fees, call charges and the time wasted, they probably end up being much more expensive than some of the other much more reputable companies.”
“Poor poor company, nothing but wasting money to phone them to chase my claim up, for them to say that there going to phone me back and never do so I'm back to square one everytime, all I'm wanting to do is change vehicle on my policy and then get told I have to do a new policy due to it being automatic, I think on my renewal date I'm changing companies I have phoned 73 times in 6 days and have to use a taxi to get to work until this is sorted. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY”

“Good price to draw you in, once on-board you have 1 Hour + holding times, the advisors need proper training and Not just to read from a script.
After Paying in full with a credit card, the payment went through ok, but 3 days later the payment was returned to the card (not sure why) i called yet again 1 hour + wait finally got through to them. They told me that the premium was still outstanding so i agreed to pay again after explaining it was returned to the card.
After a week or so passed by i was contacted by my bank explaining that i had gone over my credit limit, i check my statement and notice 2 payments for Goskippy.com was taken one from the day it (apparently) got returned and the other 3 days later when i was told the premium was outstanding.
3 weeks later after endless calls and high phone bills i still got no-where with a refund of 1 of the payments, they was adamant they took only 1!
I contacted my credit card company and explained to them, they refunded me my money, and proceeded to GoSkippy.com themselves.
I cant wait to re-new elsewhere its been a NIGHTMARE ! i see other reviews regarding admin costs so i will just wait it out, i dont want to give them a penny more!”

“Please do not ever use this company, ever. I write this review wishing that I had read similar reviews like it before I took out a policy with them. You have been warned. They are IMHO bordering on the fraudulent. I took out a policy for my son as a first time driver - we looked at the rates being low and that it allowed us parents to be on the policy as additional drivers. It took almost 2 hours by phone to give them all of the details that they needed in great detail to a South African call centre. Yet within 4 hours of taking out and paying for the policy we received a letter by email requiring us to pay an additional 290 pounds because the information we gave them was incorrect, which it caegorically was not . They didn't elaborate, or provide us the phone transcript of course, but said we had to pay up or they would cancel the policy. When we got another letter a few months later requiring us to do the same thing (to the value of another 300 pounds) we cancelled. STAY AWAY !”

I am somewhat surprise that they kept not talking to me but transferring to different departments without any explanations. I think they are scaling the phone payments from customers.”

Every bad review is justified, costumer services is an absolute discrace to say the very least expect to waste at least 40min trying to speak with them and to be treated like a dog when you finally get through. They cant recognise a postal code. None of them dont know what they are doing incuding management. Illiterate bunch of idiots. They cant Based in South Africa or somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We ve rang about 5 time due to being cut off. ABSOLUTE IDIOTS!”
