“Fine until you make a claim (need them) staff only trained to deal with generic questions and outside of those issues they can't help so will just repeat a scripted answer. No senior staff to deal with issues. If you claim don't expect to get the settlement figure minus your excess as they deduct any outstanding policy amount also even if they tell you, you're able to put a new vehicle on in replacement of written off car and continue your monthly DD plan. Will bounce you between their own departments and Somerset Bridge who underwrite the policy so neither take responsibility.”

“Absolutely dreadful, tried to charge me an additional £220 because I had claimed 18 years no claims, but other insurers will only give assurance of 9 years. So I retried the quote online putting in only 9 years no claims and the quote was £60 less than my original price. Phoned up to ask why and they said nothing can be done, charged my £75 to cancel. Really poor customer service. Please avoid this company”

“I wouldn't recommend this insurance company to anyone. I was a customer for nearly 3 years and had 2 incidents which I didn't claim on nd neither was my fault nor was i in the car at the time and since leaving them, because of getting a better quote on comparison sites for the new car I am getting I have only just found out about loosing my NCB.... which to me is confusing because the car was significantly damaged either occasion but more to the point it wasn't my fault and I didn't claim! Since finding this out its now made it harder for me to obtain insurance and with the cost of living crisis lingering the insurance quotes I have got are more than double my original quote! Left me proper up the creak without a paddle (so to speak)”

“Have 1 car with skippy, called them to ask if there are any discounts if i have all my cars with them (3) and they said no, so since there are company giving great discounts for having multiple cars with them i decided to ask for cancel,what she told me surprised me alot as i never heard of that, since i oay monthly i still have 800£ left to pay whoch are 4 or 5months, she says for me to cancel i need to pay cancellation fee plus all the money that is left to pay which is 800£+cancellation fee, i would never ever comeback to this company as i never heard before of it, i get abiut cancellation fee and to pay for the month whats left, although for whole time whats left, no, never ever here again after my insuranve is finished. !! Imagine if smth happebs or someone offers good price for your car and you want to sell it you will need to pay everything or pay monthly even you have no car, i cant believe !”

“Be careful with this company, we call them to cancel the insurance policy after we sold the car, but the customer service guy told us they going to give us 14 days if we getting a new car but we asked him to cancel the policy but he said it will cancel automatically after 14 days, we call them again because the took the direct debit when we asked them they said we no need to pay anything after that we received the letter saying cancellation fee £75, now they trying to charge extra £121 for no reason, and the customer service staff is so rude as well, we asked them so many times to connect the call to the manager it’s never happen, two times staff told us no need to pay anything but now they we changing the story please guys don’t trust this company like us i don’t want any other people get scam from this company. “we even asked one of the customer service staff to send us a confirming letter or email saying we no need to pay anything after direct debit take, but nothing didn’t turn up, guys try to avoid this company.”

“This company is a absolute joke, signed up to insurance providing all the information asked and 100% accurate, received a email to provide my NCD proof which I got from my previous insurance and forwarded it on only to receive a email a few days later saying there were some discrepancies. Genuinely confused I rang them up to find out exactly what was wrong and OMG, most USELESS call center in the world. Absolutely clueless, couldn’t give me any further details and simply kept reading the same line which I know was incorrect, asked to speak to the validations team and they didn’t even have the number 😂. Gave up in the end and rang back again today to try get further information and again absolutely useless. They’ve now charged me a £25 cancellation fee for them cancelling it and ringing them up is no use, I want my £25 back as it’s through no fault of my own they cancelled for whatever reason (I still don’t know 😂) I renewed with my old insurance so no big deal but these clowns have robbed me of £25. God knows how they would deal with a actual claim if it came to it after this, I would STRONGLY recommend avoiding these absolute clowns.”

“My mother passed away on the 30th of June and I and my partner are named on her car insurance
My partner made the insurers aware on the 4th of July that this was the case and we would like to transfer the policy over to her and myself
The customer service operative didn't advise this wasn't possible, they advised we needed to email the details over with the copy of a death certificate - we did this the same day
We were alerted today that the policy had been cancelled via email and a refund would be issued by cheque within 28days
We are left without insurance on a car we need to get around to various appointments such the funeral directors/my mother's apartment to clear it
The best we have been offered is the refund to be made via bacs rather than cheque - though that can't happen until Monday as everyone has finished for the weekend. This is after being on hold numerous times during a number of calls throughout the day to one lady in particular who was at best rude and completely without empathy or understanding
Other insurers have advised us that they would have been able to change the policy in our names until the renewal date
Given the last minute nature, a new policy elsewhere is around double what we we were paying previously
What disgraceful treatment during what is already an extremely challenging time”
