However go skippy hadn’t actually cancelled my policy and are refusing to accept that I had insured with another insurance company that was £200 cheaper. “THIS COMPANY IS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. I HAD MY POLICY CANCELLED AS THEY SAID I SAID I HAD 1 YEARS NO CLAIMS BONUS WHEN I KNEW FULL WELL I DID NOT. I RESEARCHED ON THE MEERKAT SITE AND WAS OFFERED A RESONABLE POLICY FROM DEBANHAMS. THIS MORNING ONLY 7 DAYS ADTER STARTING THIS POLICY I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS POLICY WAS ALSO GOING TO BE CANCELLED!! THEY ARE SAYING IT IS BECAUSE I FAILED TO DISCLOSE I PREVIOUSLY HAD A POLICY CANCELLED. AGAIN THIS WAS DUE TO THE SEARCH ENHINE AS I WAS NOT ASKED THIS QUESTION WHEN I RE DID THE SEARCH. UPON RINGING THEM I FOUND OUT THAT BOTH THESE INSURERS ARE RUN BY THE SAME COMPANY. THEY ARE JUST OUT TO GIVE FALSE PROMISES OF INSURANCE, TAKE DEPOSITS AND CANCEL , EASY WAY TO MAKE MONEY WHEN YOUR DOING THIS TO NUMEROUS PEOPLE IN A DAY!!! I AM NOW £400 OUT OF POCKET, WITH A CAR I CANT LEGALLY DRIVE, AND NO WAY OF TRAVELLING TO WORK. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING, THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT IS OKAI TO TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY. “Money grabbers. Had a £2k bike stolen and all they could do was still charge my years insurance and only give me £100. If I didnt take the £100 I would of been £350 in debt with go skippy... for my bike being stolen. Barly understand them either.”

Whilst I accept that I have made a genuine error to be penalized so heavily for this I dont understand. The underwriters are now cancelling my car insurance. If I was trying to hide something I would not have declared that I have previously had a claim, I genuinely forgot about the 3 points which are coming to the end of their time until I logged on to do a check on my driving license. I paid a heafty deposit and less than a week later you took a payment by Direct Debit. I have been told categorically this is a decision by the underwriter. I have just had the displeasure of speaking to you on the phone and you have informed me that you will also be charging me approximately £114.00 cancellation fee. Shocked and furious is an understatement. It have also been advised it could be more. This has cost me in excess of £400.00 for one months insurance. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GENUINE ERRORS. I have unfortunately had to make 2 changes previously & now need to cancel as haven't got car anymore & can't afford it the charges to cancel a month early is appalling.”
“Sorry got to say that I seriously wouldn't have given Go Skippy 1 star! Had previous insurance through this company and was very competitive to start with. But don't be fooled by this company. They will lull you into a false sense of security by giving you another competitive quote and realise they have made a mistake ask you for the most ridiculous bits of information like (pictures of the front, rear & side of your vehicle. the vin number which is on your V5 document anyway also your name drivers occupation) apparently this is what the underwriters have requested!!! Joke,,,, I have worked for an insurance brokers myself and clearly understand the requirements. This was just a delaying tack tick, they waste your time by putting you on hold, agents acting very unprofessional on the phone, laughing and being rude!!! never have I dealt with such an a company in my life!!!!! “Avoid this insurance company like the plague! I had to get a new windscreen two years ago (as many people do). I received my NCB however they put on my NCB about my windscreen as an accident??? So naturally affected my new lot of insurance with my provider. Rang up twice to try and rectify the problem or a letter explaining it was simply a new windscreen. They refused to do so. Really unhelpful and been such a pain! First time I’ve had a problem with an insurance company in 13 years.”

“Insured car with these morons....partner as main driver myself as a named driver. Went to pay deposit using my card. Wouldn't accept it as not in partners name. Changed me to main driver him to named driver. Paid the deposit.
2 weeks later the requested driving licence and proof of no claims. This was all sent by email. Yesterday I get an email to say that the underwriters have exercised their right to cancel policy due to non disclosed convictions???? Neither of us have any driving convictions or criminal record. Customer services can't tell me what these are apparently for. They are cancelling my policy from the 5th and refund any thing owed within 28 days. Customer services can not tell me how much I am owed or if anything and the cancellation team is not available weekends. Brilliant.....after me ranting with her on the phone Fatima then asks if I would like to start a new policy with them. Are you joking!!!! Only thing Is this now goes against me with other insurers as I need to declare I have had insurance cancelled. Stay far away from these idiots!!!!”
“Please do no go with go Skippy awfull. So this is my story I took out cover and 1 month later get a letter through the door saying your insurance has been cancelled recived 2 days after cancallation date so was driving round for 2 days unisured. So reasons for cancel where never received proof of no claims which my previous provider never requested so was a bit stumpted thought they share information though out insurance companies to prevent fraud they had not contacted me by phone or post prior to this. But guess what they had by email only not to my main inbox so when I rang she asked oh have you checked junk email and there it was now what the chances of it going to my junk mail cause everyone checks there junk mail right? But then it hit me there a Brooker they get a set fee. Unless of course policy is cancelled then there's a bigger set fee ching ching well was covered for 29 days and ladies and gentlemen hear are the cost they presented me with- and look out for the direct debit cost which I may add is done electronically through bank which you fill out yourself upun joining this bargain off a insurance companyTIME ON COVER 20/10/2019 TO 18/11/2019, covered for 29 days

“Ok where to start first off do not get insurance from go Skippy. They sent emails asking for proof sent to junk which let's be honest who checks there junk mail. They wanted proof of no years claims which was fine but no letters through door or phone calls. I only found out 2 days after they cancelled my policy that it had been cancelled so was driving uninsured for two days this is because they had then sent a letter once cancelled nothing prior to make me aware it was going to be cancelled. Only after contacting them they said have you checked your junk. So that rings alarms bells when they themselves think it's in your junk. Anyway get ready for fees for time on cover one month by the way. TIME ON COVER 20/10/2019 TO 18/11/2019, covered for 29 days

“Reporting this company to Trading Standards. When my husband passed away his policy (which was paid for out of my bank account) was obviously cancelled. Go Skippy made the refund cheque to 'The executor of' my husband. Despite being told no such person exists because my husband died intestate, and despite being told in cases like this the refund cheque would go to the next of kin, and despite being sent documents proving I am next of kin on five separate occasions, Go Skippy refuse to make the refund cheque out in my name. Their reason for doing so according to them? It is 'illegal' and 'money laundering'. What absolute nonsense! The wills and probate lawyer I spoke to laughed when I told her what Go Skippy were claiming, and confirmed what I had said was absolutely correct that legally, in cases of intestacy where there is no will, and therefore no executor, a refund would be made to the next of kin. Therefore I am sending the emails this company have sent me which give this spurious legal advice both to Trading Standards, and the ombudsman, in order to get the money which is rightfully mine.
Their quotes may be cheap, but they've proven you get what you pay for if, for any reason, anything changes with your policy (like you being so inconsiderate as to die) and they don't get to keep your money.”
“Husband, who was policy holder, passed away. Informed Go Skippy. Sent copies of our marriage certificate and his death certificate where I am named as widow, and therefore next of kin. Go Skippy don't accept I am next of kin despite these official documents and won't issue refund cheque in my name. I paid for the policy from my account, they won't refund to that either. Staff are extremely rude, raise voices, refuse to fetch a manager, I was on hold for an hour and a half over 2 phone calls in the same day before I was hung up on. Losing my husband is terrible enough, without having to deal with these idiots. Problem still not sorted despite my sending documents 3 times. Avoid like the plague, this company will keep your money.”
