“Incredibly frustrating to deal with. Our car had it's catalytic converter stolen and GoSkippy are dragging their feet to the nth degree over covering it - our documents and quote from Toyota have been with them for over a week now and each time I phone I end up on hold for 30+ minutes to be told "it should be ready in a day or two". I will read reviews the next time we need to renew!”
“Load of rubbish, ask you for a million and one documents within several days, then after you've rounded them all up they tell you that actually you wanted something specific from certain documents and more from other documents, then after you upload them your policy gets cancelled whilst they review the documents as it will take over the several days to review them. DO NOT GO WITH THIS INSURANCE!”
“The worst company ever. They will let you insure Online with them . After word they will start asking you for other documents that you can’t provide. Also they will Keep searching to find one excuse to cancel your policy after they charge you the admin fees and full month install. Be Aware.”
“I have used these guys for over 5 years. I had a renew email from them and renewed my policy with no problem I am paying a policy in monthly instalments. I needed to cancel my policy and now Go skippy are saying I owe them a debt of £99.83 for wanting to cancel. I could maybe understand if it was an annual payment but I’m paying it monthly that means it’s a roll on monthly contract. I should not be getting a cancellation charge at-all! Disgusting especially to a long term customer!”
“Terrible, set up and paid deposit so I could do it monthly, and a week later I get told I didn't get finance, I didn't know this was even a thing as I've never had an issue, I called and was told I'd have to pay it in full which I didn't have funds to do so hence monthly payments. Oh and I must not forget to tell you about their inability to open email attachments in full resolution, I sent my licence and ncd over a dozen times.
I honestly feel like I’ve been scammed! It’s like they are trying to get me to cancel my insurance with them so they can charge me massively overpriced cancellation charges!
So stay away for god sake!
My next step will be asking for a refund, which I really don’t expect to get because I really do suspect goskippy is nothing but a scam!”
“Company has no access to ncd database making it impossible to prove no claims have been made for over 15 years following a period in hospital and recovering from an operation. Premium went from £327 to £1179 for not being able to prove 2 years ncd. Policy cancelled, one month paid up front and no refund after only 12 days cover plus a cancellation fee of £35 on top. Disgraceful”
