“I've been with go skippy for less than a year.Recently had an accident and called them to notify.After 3 hours of being transferred between departments I am still waiting for their promised return call and the hard copy of my Insurance Policy. Go Skippy puts certain Australian marsupials to shame. Avoid them like the plague”
“I set up my go Skippy policy through compare the market and from start to finish the service was terrible. I agreed for the policy to be made in monthly installments of 90 per month by direct debit on the 1st of every month. I then received my schedule from creative (their finance department) which didn't have a monthly amount or DD date stated on the schedule. i then called to try and make sense ans left on hold for 45 mins. After finally getting through I was advised the they were no allowed to put the monthly amount in the schedule as the amount could change if i claimed.??
I was assured that the direct debit was £90 and that the payment date was the first and ended the call. On the 1st of the month no dd was taken and on the 3rd they attempted to take 125 from my account. This cause the Direct debit to bounce as I had only put the needed 90 in my account to pay the bill.
I called and spoke to an adviser and they at first could understand what had happened. After many frustrating phone calls later I was advised that they lost my deposit and it had put my monthly payments up!!!!
I managed to get this put right and they agreed to waiver their late payment charge and allow me to make payment the following week as the bank charges left me short of the payment.
2 days before the payment was due and whist on holiday 200 miles away from home I received an email from goskippy stating that my policy is now cancelled due to missed premiums and that they were again charging me £25 for it.
Again I called and spoke to an adviser who said that there was nothing they could do and no notes were left on the account and said that I would have to pay another deposit and set up a completely new plan!!!!!
From start to finish the worst customer service I have ever experienced every call required at least 30 mins on hold and only one scheduled call back was made when promised.
I was told in the last call that there was a deadline for me to make the payment which i was no made aware of either.
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A JOKE....

“Save your time, money and sanity and don't choose this insurance compAny. Terrible customer service. If you make a claim it takes ages to get an update, you have to chase everything. You need to contact Eldon insurance for any follow up and their number is 0800, it cost me a fortune. You can't change anything online, you have to wait in long queues for simple change in policies. After one hour wAiting, the line was cut off, they had my details, it would be nice to get a call back, however I had to call and wait another hour.They are very expensive if you want to amend the policy. I was insured by Diamond before and I never had any issues with them.”
“Absolutely terrible,don't use this car insurance,I sent in my newest paper driving licence in to them,they turned around and cancelled my policy and kept deposit of £80 because I had a paper licence from 16 years ago,and they said it was fraudlent(in my eyes sending the latest up to date driving licence was the right thing to do?????? Obviously not,they will rob you blind,after sales was shocking and no communication what so ever,stay clear of this company,I don't see how they are still going to be honest”
“I've read a lot of negative reviews about Go Skippy but i haven't had any real problems until 3 days ago, i got a text from them saying i needed to send in documents as urgent despite my still having a text from 4 months before thanking me for sending in the documents, i didn't believe the stories about the customer services but after wasting a total of 4 hrs trying to get in touch with them i gave up but this morning as i was looking at the website and i hit on the idea that if i call the sales department someone would answer straight away and low and behold the phone rang and within 30 seconds they answered only to find out that they had made an error and the text was sent by mistake so i wasted so much on phone calls for nothing they didn't even offer any kind of compensation for messing me about at my own expense from what I've heard its safer to pay in 1 lump sum and keep checking your back statements so they don't take any payments without your knowelege.”

Waiting times are disgraceful to get through to the right department, it seems that most of the times if they don't understand your query they will just pass you on to another incompetent fool. “Received a renewal quote £500 more than pretty-much everyone else - even the traditionally more expensive insurers. I'm sure many are familiar with companies trying it on hoping that most will go with the 'convenience' of renewing, however £500 more is ridiculous - and insulting as their letter implied that I'd not get a better offer elsewhere.
Every time they phone, or I phone them, the line quality is appalling and the customer service agents are very hard to understand - the joys of the overseas call center. I'm thus far unable to confirm that they will not auto-renew the policy nor get proof of no-claims out of them.”
