Nothing but problems with these cowboys. New company clearly doesn't have it's systems setup properly yet. Avoid.

Wouldn’t let me give less than one star. I received a quote on the website and come to paying for the policy it said unable to receive quote. So decided to ring up customer services, they were no help either. So my experience with the company is shocking, I received a quote, tried to pay for it and unable to ! What a joke!

Received a renewal quote. £110 increase from last year. SO went elsewhere and received much cheaper quote. Tried seven times on line to cancel with no luck. They are a f*****g nightmare. I am getting communication from them still and their brokers. Have been on to my bank to cancel the direct debit but this company a nightmare.

Avoid GoSkippy at all costs they try to blame their own errors on their computer system! Make sure you read your policy details through thoroughly otherwise it could come back to haunt you at a later date, and if you’re not happy, my advice to you as a mature adult is cancel! I took out a policy yesterday a few dates was incorrect, I requested changes, after changes was made things was still not right so I made the choice to cancel straightaway, and I will be looking elsewhere, and will be happy to pay a little extra to a reputable insurance company! Remember my words cheaper isn’t always necessarily better!

When I took out my car insurance with this company I double checked that I could add on business use at a later date if I needed to, they confirmed that this was fine. I phoned yesterday to do just this only to be told that it wasn’t possible and then when I said I wanted to cancel the policy they tried to charge me £75 cancellation fee! I explained that I had specifically asked about the business use to which the very rude lady tried to call my bluff by saying they could listen to phone calls as they were recorded. I don’t think she expected me to agree to this! I then asked to speak to the manager, she put me on hold and then, lo and behold, the cancellation charge was waived and they would refund me the rest of the years money!

I had a collision in June this year and it was not my fault. I contacted GoSkippy/Eldon Insurance/Southern Rock and was finally told I would have to claim on my insurance while “investigations” were ongoing. I was not asked for my account of what happened, I was not asked to provide any evidence of the collision and how it happened - I was instead asked to pay the excess and claim on my insurance. I refused and complained about this. My complaint was not upheld by GoSkippy, instead a flurry of requests for information/evidence that should have been made in the first place now followed. A few weeks after filling in the forms and sending these back I got a call from a personal injury specialist from GoSkippy accusing me of being at fault. That’s right. My insurance company! GoSkippy!!! I calmly explained how the accident happened to her because it was evident she had not even read my case file. She said I should not have been waiting in the yellow box to turn right when the accident occurred. I explained to her I was not in a yellow box, and if I were, I would’ve been right to do so. She stammered and stuttered when she realised she’d been caught out. This lady then proposed a 50/50 split liability resolution. I refused. I told her to put all her correspondence in writing. ALWAYS ASK FOR DETAILS IN WRITING AFTER SPEAKING TO ANY ORGANISATION ON THE PHONE. IF POSSIBLE DECLINE TO SPEAK, AND ASK FOR THE INFORMATION VIA EMAIL. The longer the paper trail the better. I got a letter back from this lady offering me 70/30 split in my favour. I still refused. She even threatened me with being saddled with court costs, but I don’t scare easily, especially when I know my rights and know I am in the right. In her final response she stated I would have to wait for the police report before any progress could be made on who was to blame. Eventually my insurance with GoSkippy on my car lapsed; hence I had to get cover with another insurer. Would you believe that three days after taking cover with my new insurers I got a letter from them telling me that my previous insurers had changed the status of the accident on the CUE (Claims Underwriting Exchange) from ‘no fault’ to ‘my fault’. And they added a massive increase to the cost of my premiums. Of course, I complained. About a month after complaining the police sent over their report validating I was not at fault! I forwarded it to my current insurers . But this company is not like GoSkippy, they are not in it just for the money. They do exist to provide a service and they provided me with an email address to send all the evidence that proved I was not at fault for the accident. I sent them my no claims letter, police correspondence and the email from the dubious personal injury lady at GoSkippy. They immediately amended my policy and awarded me compensation. I have still not heard back from GoSkippy till date. I escalated the case to the Ombudsman but the last I heard is that they keep sending the Ombudsman information in the wrong format. It’s been 5 months since the accident. I have since purchased a new car but the other sits in my driveway, unfit for driving due to the collision and bleak reminder of the deliberate failure of GoSkippy to honour their side of a policy agreement I signed with them and paid for diligently over the course of a year. Avoid. If you pay for insurance and you don’t get insurance cover in the event of an accident that is not your fault- then -what are you paying for? AVOID. Watch this space for updates.

!!!!!!!!!!!!COMPLAINT!!!!!!!!!!! TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN On Sunday 21st September I got a car insurance quote from your company, I had just bought my first car and was excited to get first time insurance. I paid a deposit of £142.81 then I was to be £138 a month thereafter which I thought was fair for a new driver and it was the most affordable quote for a single parent on part time wages, I was happy and excited to get driving my first car. Then unexpectedly on the 27th September I received an email stating that Creation Consumer Finance had declined my application for private car insurance, so I made a phone call to your company to which I was advised I would have to set up a payment plan which increased my payments almost double 1 payment of £185.30 and then 4 payments of £262.50 and that these payments would have to be made every month over the phone and then I would still be covered for the duration of the full year (September 2019) OR I could CANCEL if I wanted (with no mention of a cancellation fee). I was then told I could have 14 days from the 27th September to think about this and get back in touch with my decision. The ONLY bit i find fair about all of this is being allowed 14 days to make a decision because of the changes you made. After careful consideration wondering if I would be able to afford these monthly payments I realized I would not be able to afford these payments because you are asking for almost my full monthly wage for car insurance, I only work part time as I am a single parent. So I decided to make another phone call to you and explained to whoever I was talking with on the phone that it was unaffordable and asked what would happen with the £142.81 deposit that I had to pay to not only be told I would not receive a refund but also if I cancelled my policy I would then be charged a cancellation fee of £35 AND a broker fee of £95.68, so I don't think the person on the phone really understood me when I said I found the monthly payments unaffordable, I explained to the person on the phone that the reasons I have to leave are outwith my control to have the sarcastic reply of "well it is outwith my control as well", I DO NOT think this is the way your call center should be speaking to customers. Now I am going to have to seek other insurance but if it is unaffordable I would then have to sell my car, I feel like I have handed out £142.81 for no apparent reason. If I new this was going to happen and cause all this unnecessary stress i would never have bought my car insurance from you. Just shows the cheapest quote isn't always the best!! This has been so stressful and I will never ever be recommending this company to any of my family or friends, I am only one person and it may not make a big impact to your company but I will also be copying this email and putting it on every feedback site I can possibly find to let other people see just how you treat customers. I think I have been treated unfairly and important information that I should have been given was withheld, I hope there aren't any other single parents who are first time insurers that go with your company because they will have nothing but stress from your company.

AVOID ENDED UP PAYING 3 X AS MUCH AS THE QUOTE I ended up with my insurance being cancelled whilst I was on holiday as they could not take off an additional driver from an e mail instruction. Terrible customer service, avoid as cheap as chips as there is no customer service and for me no insurance

My son is a new driver, Skippy was the cheapest and we thought ' great' myself (mother) and his father are named drivers. After the cooling off period (no time to cancel) we were subjected to demands that no other insurance company has asked for, photos of driving licence back and front and now summary of driving from DVLA When we call and ask questions about how to gain these we wait almost an hour on the phone to be dealt with by rude people. The company takes delight in telling you how much they are going to charge in fees but do absolutely nothing to help. They add fees on for everything. Never ever again, stay away !!!

Insurance was fraudulently taken out in my name and address with this company. They did not know what a protective registration was, couldn’t confirm that they had acknowledged the fraud in writing. Also stated that they did not deal with financial services. Would never take out an insurance policy with them. They also refused to let me speak to their fraud team. I’ve also noted that they have only responded to the previous reviews if they are positive.

worst customer service. Changes to your policy are chargeable at all times. Overall you pay more than well known car insurances. A total rip off. Can't wait for January to say goodbye to them.
