Just tried to cancel my policy with them as it's too expensive and had to pay £75 cancellation fee £33 broker fee and £50 finance cancellation fee. I have never heard of so many fees applied when you're willing to cancel the policy . It's disgusting how they rip people off

Cancelled my insurance policy on 9th December 2018, paid extortionate amount in admin fees and cancellation fees. I was informed I would receive my refund within 28 days. It’s now 17th January and I am still waiting, phoned twice and spent 25 mins on phone each time. Still no refund, quick enough to take my money tho! Definitely would not use again

Since joining this insurance company I have been fleeced several times. They claim to have tried to take the money but the direct debit failed. My bank informs me by text when I go below £5 on my account as well as telling me that I have gone over my agreed limit and need to pay funds in by 2pm. It will always tell me who has tried to take money if a direct debit fails (Which is rare). On a few occasions now Go Skippy has charged me £99 because of a payment being late (the same payment they didn't take though claiming they tried to) I can't wait for the year to be up with them and I'm already looking around for insurance elsewhere as I'm tired of their antics and untruthful behaviour

go skippy are a rip of service !!! myself and my son are insured with them on the same car ,my son was hit while waiting at traffic light and has witness. The insurance company are trying there best not to pay out because they said when i took out the policy i worked in an office and now i am working in the kitchen of the school !!! im not sure what it has to do with them where i work because i do not use the car to get to and from work and when the crash happened my son was driving who is also on the policy !!! i actually challenged them and then was told it might go 50 50 because the other car involved is insured my a big company called aviva . i also had to challenge ! a complete waste of time and more trouble than there worth ! complete joke of a company .do not use !!

Horrendous company, do your research, look at reviews and when it comes to insurance, if you have to pay a bit more initially it will be better in the long run as the lower companies like GoSkippy will take money from you other ways. To sum up my experience with GoSkippy, I paid a lot of money for car insurance, I can't comment on what it is like to claim through them but I am not sure I'd want to, anyway, I paid a lot for the car insurance mainly because I wanted a 2nd named driver who was not from the UK. I could of got my own insurance for the year at about £750 but paid just shy of £2000 to add the named driver, ok fair enough. About 7 months in I wanted to take the other driver off, thinking I would also get some money back since I paid a lot just to add them. NO!!! They wanted to charge £300 more in premium to take them off, and then another £50 for admin fees. They said they would waive the £50, they must of thought I was an i!diot if I was going to pay £300 more to take a person off when I could just let it expire and pay no more. My i!diot move was going with them in first place. BAD BAD BAD! What a horrible service.

Awful customer service. Rude. Not understanding. Waste of money. They leave contacting you until the day before threatening to cancel your policy with ridiculous demands. STAY AWAY!!!

Absolutely appalling service - tired of hearing people advise me they will sort out my complaint but do not even have the decency to contact me. I have emailed / left message on social media and also rang on numerous occasion and still no one has got back to me. I was told a manager (andrew everton) would contact me yesterday - he didn't and when I followed this up I was told he wasn't in work until 10am today and STILL no phone call so yet again we made that call to now be told he will be off for 1 week (and your staff back trackedon what they said!) and now apparently there is no one else on the whole of goskippy that can help! Customer service is a shambles

I had a terrible experience with go skippy, from start to end .they charged me twice for even that period,when I wasn't covered.the credit department is just rediclious and I have to wait for 28 days for the refund.definitly not recommended to any friend or family member.giving you 1 star for customer service otherwise goskippy deserve a minus stars.

Very dissappinted how we’ve been treated from goskippy. We used a comparison website to get the quote for our insurance renewal which was due on the 19th december. So on the 1st of december we took out insurance with them but for it to start on the 19th,Today they sent us an email saying the want a further £252 off us to be paid in the next 14days (already paid £275 down payment when we signed up) because we gave false information.....we haven’t! There trying to say that on the 1st of december when we signed up my husband hadn’t had his license 12 months (no he hadn’t) but he did have it 12 months when the policy started on the 19th december. We have left it in the hands of goskippy and hopefully something can be resolved soon.

I had 2 months and 3 weeks left on my policy when I sold my car and they wouldn't refund me so they are thieves do not go with this company

although this was a cheaper company than my last, the online services are shocking!! the " my portal" is very hard to understand and doesn't tell you everything you need to know!, I changed my car details and it took so long to change over and no confirmation email .. who knows if I'm even insured!! tried to phone them and I cant get through .. defo wouldn't recommend. customer contact and ease of use is terrible. FIX YOURE WEBSITE!!!

Disgusting service including the management. Phoned too ask how many no claims I had and they told me false information and when I asked for compensation they tried every way possible too not give me it. Had me on the phone for 1 hour and 45 minutes too then tell me my compensation is not likely too go through. I asked too put in a formal complaint and she said I can’t until after 3 days and then it would take 8 weeks too get it looked into. The two people I spoke too had a attitude problem and were avoiding putting me through too the manager. The managers customer service skills were terrible as well. Never would I ever go back there again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend going with them even if the premium is low they are unreliable and make promises they can’t keep.

😡😡😡DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY........ My mother in law took out a policy with myself as the named driver. There was a accident where i was not at fault but because the other lady would not accept liability they wanted me to claim on mine. I was not prepared to make the premium go up as the car was pretty much worthless so a new car was purchased. All documentation of the accident they asked for was provided by myself via email. For them to keep saying they had not received nothing even tho at one point a college of your company replied to say thank you and would pass on to the relevant team.... I still have all this proof plus recorded calls. Yet then to be told policy is being cancelled due to no communication (LOAD OF BULLSHIT). So over the past 3 wks i have been on the phone constantly trying to sort out what you have messed up to now be receiving letters to say £800 is owed for cancellation of the policy. WHEN YOUR THE ONES THAT CANCELLED IT..... GO SKIPPY..... People stay well clear and run 🏃‍♀️ for the hills. Avoid this company at all costs 😡😡😡😡😡

Worst company I have ever dealt with, for a company on go compare you would think there would have an amazing reputation, this isn’t the case I wish I looked at reviews before I took out insurance with them, so anyone reading this “ check reviews first “ My insurance was declined and I was told I had to pay an additional £239 and two additional payments of almost £400 so I decided to cancel my policy instead. I did what I was asked to hit endless dead ends and going round in circles they have proof I no longer have the car and zero excuse not to refund me my deposit but I’m not holding out much hope. If I am refunded I will loose around £105 of the deposit I paid. However because of who they are they seem to take great pleasure in wanting to add more and more charges just to push a basic button, people have been charged £80 just to update new car details which is outrageous, and disgusting and 9/10 reviews are one star on many websites including trust pilot. I wouldn’t give this a good reviews because of £200 amazon sending spree I’m doing this so people are aware that this company should be avoided at all cost they make people’s life’s hell including mine.
