Gave 2 weeks notice to cancel, still had to pay the following months + cancellation fee & received tens of emails in the week following, claiming I owe hundreds, to then 60 odd quid, to then being told to ignore it by their call centre & then littered with emails again. Been checking all morning to make sure they aren’t already known scam artists.”

“Here is the second complaint about go skippy I wasn't told about an outstanding payment to be paid, I was told I was going to get a letter, luckily I checked my emails and noticed emails from them, saying to pay it by a certain date or it will go to the debt collectors so I stated that I wanted a breakdown of extra costs and I'd get back to them. I paid it in full and they still proceed to send it to the debt collectors. I have phoned the debt collectors and go skippy never informed them. So now I can have a possibility of having this on my credit for no reason but they're lack of care and communication honestly I would not recommend to anyone this insurance firm.”

“The advisors are awful, the only reason I have taken out insurance is because it is the cheaper one but if I was to take the customer service in to account this would be the last company to go with. The company does not recognise Monzo so have to complete it over the phone which they then want to charge you £20 to do this. They hung the phone up on me 3 times within 20 minutes and were not helpful in the slightest. Awful customer service.”

“Worst insurance I've ever known, when you try to chase them they don't want to know. They have charged me £260 just to cancel my insurance but charging me for an extra month which I cancelled. I tried ringing no body wants to know they just pass you about phone to phone. I was told I'd have a letter in the post, I never they say one thing but do another as they emailed me and I wasn't aware they started to threaten me with debt collectors. They didn't even call I caught the email by look as I wasn't aware. They emailed me ny breakdown as I requested to why I've been charged so much to cancel and I get a really bad breakdown followed straight away by an email stating theyve passed me on to debt collectors Its disgusting honestly would not recommend to anyone. They might be a bit cheaper but there is a reason for it believe me. Shocking company.”

“Want to charge me £142 after one month for them cancelling my insurance because I wouldant give them more personal information.
Also they won’t justify the amount, I am a pensioner so can’t afford the £142 I went to them in the first place because they where cheap. Told me if I didant supply more docs they would cancel the policy but didant say it would also cost me another £142 on top of the money I had already paid them. I believe they take advantage of people not knowing the rules!
Not happy would definitely not recommend them, they are only a broker anyway!”

“I have motorcycle insurance with you . normally when you purchase a new vehicle you give your detail pick up your vehicle normally it’s that simple. . With go skippy it’s a total nightmare I have had to have my motorcycle delivered at my cost it is still sat in the garage .I am unable to use it because it is still not insured because go skippy tell me because it’s not registered with the DVLA yet it cannot be insured. But when I ring other professional companies I am told it is not a problem ? . So if you’re buying a new vehicle DO NOT USE GO SKIPPY INSURANCE. Avoid at all cost”

“I have been refused insurance on my new car without any explanation and then told I have to pay a cancellation fee even though its not me that wants to cancel. I have an on going claim with Go Skippy since September that has been dealt with in such a bad manner passed from one 3rd party company to another 3rd party company with clearly no communication between any of them. I am extremely unhappy with Go Skippy and will be taking this to the ombudsman as I have been treated disgustingly”

“Shocking last Tuesday, I phoned to add business to my policy at the cost of £72. I was told I had until Tuesday as I didn't have my card. I was away seeing friends, and on Tuesday, 21/02/2023, at 2.54 pm, I received an email saying my policy was cancelled. I paid my insurance in total, expiring on the 18th of June. They said a letter was sent out while I was away; shame they couldn't send an email as they sure did, telling me my policy was cancelled. Now I am on go compare getting car insurance.”

“Had nothing but trouble with this company. My husband insured his car on a provisional in September he passed in November and rang to update his policy. They charged us 1040 quid for this change. Since then the car was on its last legs and we purchased a much newer reliable car. Go skippy are telling us it has to go to someone to look at was told 3 days now been told another week. I've explained I'm disabled and this car is my lifeline but they just don't care. I'll prob be expecting another charge to change car so will prob be cancelling with them. I honestly wouldn't recommend as there fees are ridiculous”

Not change it and I would need to arrange a new policy for the year at a cost of £550! I then asked what would I get back if I cancelled and was told £13 as they charge a £75 cancellation fee. Never use them they are absolute thieves. Disgusted by this lot.”

“Admittedly I obviously didn't read all the small print but admin fee of £50 for a genuine change / error made and IPT tax added to that as well. Just make sure you read the small print as I have now been charged over £150 extra and can't cancel the policy without paying another admin fee! These companies may provide the cheapest quote but it will end up being more expensive after add ons and hidden charges”

When I call them they told me that I’m not allowed to use other cars with it’s extremely unusual … I have to pay £25 for cancellation fee 10 minutes after I paid for policy …
