Was on hold for 1 hour before I was spoken to prices for top up miles are expensive black box scores and correct as received an email saying the scores were different to how I actually drive i think it’s so they don’t give me as much of a discount on the following year

Good price and efficient when getting you to sign on the dotted line. After sales inefficient - I had to send documents twice. Call waiting times are just ridiculously long. I gave up after 30 mins.

They are very friendly and helpful, however the black box is annoying as heck and the scores can sometimes just fluctuate. The usage is something that hurts me a lot. You can’t make more than 7 journeys in a day or in a 24 hour rolling period otherwise your usage score is affected negatively. My scores for the past few months: speed:10 smoothness: 9-10 usage: -7 If it goes too low, they can void the policy. Just going and collecting my son from school is 4 journeys altogether (1 every-time you start the engine). I’d recommend only if you are not in need of the car more than 5 times a day (even small journeys count towards the total score).

Cheapest insurance by far, but a nightmare to get hold of through the phone

Takes ages to get through to them on the phone and the better driver app doesnt work most of the time, proper cheap insurance tho 👌

No problems at all however it does take a long time to get through to carrot insurance so to ring them for a query I wait a very long time but then I use Twitter to get hold of them separately which is useful.

I was stressed when sawCarrit on my bank starment as didn’t realise the VW insurance I took out was Carrot

Its alright however did not get any help i just had the black box fitted then no contact from carrot saying how to setup your points but after getting it explained and having found out that the app is no longer in use there alright

Yeah it’s a good insurance company it’ll be better if your premium goes down depending on how good you drive

The points system is difficult and even when you have all tens on your scores it will say your overall is not and you can't get on the website most of the time.

In my opinion this insurance company is a bit over the top. What I mean by this is that every other company I have used I have just paid and been insured but for this one I have had to send a copy of my licence and have a box fitted in my car. The box is extremely inaccurate, two journeys in which I drive the same style comes back as one good and one not. I also get low scores for using my car "too much" but im a busy person with kids so I need to use it quite alot. Price wise is ok though.

The experience of purchasing insurance through carrot we a very easy and tansaction. However we have had an issue with the ibox and there seemed to be some miscommunication between carrot and the ibox company plus a faty ibox was fitted, thsi which led to.me having to have multiple calls with carrot and the ibox company. Its all sorted now and this wouldnt stop me from using carrot again though

It's a good insurance company but very expensive Had a very rude memeber of staff talk to me when I wanted to cancel so I left it there rang up and was answered but a very nice person that sorted stuff out for me with no problems thankyou dan from cancellations
