Ordered 25x50mm Sawn Treated Roofing Batten, CLS Studwork Timber (3X2″) 38X63mm and CLS Studwork Timber (4X2″) 38X89mm from Fulham Timber. What an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First off, delivery was meant to be between 7:30am-5:30pm. Imagine my joy being woken up at 6:50am to the sound of timber being literally THROWN onto my driveway. Not placed, not stacked - thrown. Driver didn't even have the courtesy to knock or ring beforehand. Just dumped it and left. But the real kicker was the quality. WOW. I've been doing DIY projects for years and I've never seen timber this bad from a so-called "professional" merchant. When I first looked through the delivery, I noticed two pieces that were bent like bananas. I'm not exaggerating - you could rock them on the ground like a seesaw. I thought, okay, couple of bad ones, it happens. How wrong I was. As I worked through my project (framing a room), I kept having to put pieces aside. Twisted like corkscrews, splits running halfway down the length, some pieces looked like they'd been stored in a damp shed for years. The 4x2s were the worst - trying to get them flush against anything was impossible. I ended up having to use the bad ones for scrap. By the end, I reckon 40% went straight to the scrap pile. That's nearly HALF my order! I've honestly had better luck with the cheapest stuff from Wickes. At least their timber is straight. I went with Fulham Timber because everyone bangs on about using "proper" timber merchants instead of DIY stores. What a load of rubbish. Never again. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Even the timber at your local DIY store would be an upgrade from this mess.

Not enough wood was sent to fulfil the order. What was sent was very heavily water damaged, buckled and/or chipped. A very disappointing experience. The only saving grace was a fairly quick collection and refund, which was appreciated.

I ordered two lengths of 2x1 and only received one length,I just signed the sheet on delivery because I needed to finish the job and didn't want the hassle

Hello Mark, We have just checked the order number you have provided, you ordered 2 metres of 3x1 par (T000004) As per product title and description - this is sold per metre, we delivered 1 length which was 2 metres in length and therefore correct. Kind regards, Fulham Timber Online

The driver unpacked wrong wood then the skirting boards i bought where water logged and bowed and had to be cut around

First missed delivery date, gave new date and turned up 4 days early. Rang from outside the front door and asked if anyone was in? I explained that if he gets out of the van and rings the door bell some one will answer……. Product was good just really poor service.

Delivery not arrived on time. No communication after missing the delivery date. Need to chase them and yet not arrive on the promised date. No reply to email. Received the delivery after 6 days of scheduled date.

Not only did I get the wrong delivery twice putting me a day (and several people’s wages) behind, but the delivery driver argued with my colleague when she pointed out the delivery was wrong and told her she should ‘just ignore’ the quantity part of the delivery note - I ordered 50m of panel mould and received 1 length of some kind of offcut… it wasn’t even close! The moulding I then got to replace it was also the wrong size and the staff on the phone in store also tried to argue with me and told me it was due to the difference between timber size and planed finish (it wasn’t). Really unimpressed with the way my colleague and I were spoken to - can’t help but wonder whether it has something to do with not being a man. The only apology or remuneration I got for this massive waste of time, money and effort was the delivery charge refunded - £36 refunded after spending £350 on timber and wasting £500 on wages for a wasted day of work. I’ll just go to my local timber merchant next time.

Customer service is non existent on the landline. No one ever answeres the phone and no one calls you back. The driver was helpful but the first set of gravel was the wrong one and the second set had holes in the bag forcing me to sweep the drive to collect it.

3 voicemails left requesting some confirmation of delivery - no calls returned Plasterboard corners were damaged on 2/4 boards Carcassing timber had been sitting water 1 timber was twisted Plywood was not flat Discussed with driver who asked us to call the office but on basis of previous unreturned calls, there is no point.

The quality of the product was terrible. I can't match it with the photo provided. I wish I had got it from WIcks or other timber after checking the colors and quality of the product.

While pricing was good but I was not sent my full order following my discussion with your sales person. Instead of 4.8m x 56 pieces, I was surprised to receive 3.9m x 60 pieces. This cannot be right. How can 4 pieces of 3.9m make up for the difference?

Not very impressed, I’ve ordered 47x50mm timber and it came in 42x44 . Also, I was trying to call them about the order 3 days in a row and left voice messages as well and no one came back to me. It’s disappointing.

NEVER ORDER FROM THEM. I ordered 350kg of gravel and sand, around 15 bags in total. Not only was the driver incredibly rude to my partner when dropping off but every single bag had a hole in it! The driver even needed to use our mop bucket for some of the gravel because the bags had broken. Really poor service and, quite literally, the only thing I need from a gravel bag is for the bag not to be broken so I can carry it. When I tried to contact Fulham Timber to discuss my complaint they ignored me. Never again.

I needed a hardwood board cut. I called in advance to check whether they could do it. I was told Fulham Timber could, but the guy who does the cutting would be going on holiday for a week on Monday, so I needed to come in as quickly as possible (within the day). I got there within the hour. When I walked in the shop, I spoke to a rep and told her that I was here to get the board cut. I was immediately told it wouldn't be possible because the guy had gone on holiday. I told her about the call - her colleague then flatly and rudely repeated that the guy was on holiday. That was it. There was no apology for dragging me across London (I had to get a cab to get there in time) or for wasting my time in the middle of a working day. In fact, of the five employees in the shop, not one even bothered to make eye contact. I think anyone who had bothered to call and check in advance that a service would be available would be insulted to have their time wasted like this. I do not recommend Fulham Timber.

I have been waiting two weeks for a next day delivery for £18. The did not deliver on both data they said they would and I have had to repeatedly try and call them after cancelling a work person in the mean time. So far it’s not been a good experience and I am still waiting.

Hi David, As our product page says and as I explained to you by email, an 8mm x 27mm moulding is the correct moulding for 12x32mm - as the description on the product page states, sizes are nominal so vary by around 5mm in size, this is an industry standard sizing method. We emailed you examples confirming this on three other merchants websites. We offered to refund the order if you wanted to return it, you decided not to. Best regards, Onur E-Commerce Manager
