Really underwhelmed by ordering. Chose a proper timber merchant as every time I go to wickes everything is bowed or knotted. Most people reccomend you go with a real timber merchant as this is a cheaper and surefire way to get straight good timber for your job. I needed a number of CLS timbers for my project along with roofing battens. I got the email the day before delivery. "Your order will be delivered between 7.30am and 5pm. I get woken up on delivery day at 6.50am!! The truck is literally throwing the timber off the wagon onto my drive. The clattering woke me up which is the only way I would have known the delivery was taking place. No phone call, text, email or anything to say it was going to be earlier. Next we get onto the timber. A number of the roofing battens were bowed but luckily I over ordered which saved this. The two CLS 3x2 timbers, one was unusable. It was like a banana, see the photo attached. Overall i wouldnt order from here again. Whilst the price was about £40-50 better than my trade wickes account. The amount of unusable wood is probably not worth the effort in ordering from a 'proper' timber merchant.

Really poor service. Booked 2 separate orders and explicity requested as 2 orders (both orders clearly over free delivery limit) but delivered all as 1 order in the morning causing signicant site issues. Did not put into the order a later order, happy to charge.me but then did not bother to add to the order so never delivered causing more issues. Ordered 2 sleepers, same product, same time, the sleepers are over 7mm difference in height, installed on a hard surface so are not level... Really poor service and will seriously question my condition use of them as the staff did t care. I had to cahse for the repsos to why the issue arose and he was not bothered to help.

I had the curved wall plasterboard delivered outside the door at 6.30am, half of it damaged.

The product itself is good. But the delivery service was terrible. I paid £18 for the delivery but it just left the board at the entrance of the building and left. It was a nightmare for me to get it upstairs. Such a horrible experience.

Three lengths of the timber were really poor. Significant splits on 2 and 1 that had major imperfections rendering it not straight. Not the usual quality expected and probably won’t purchase from them again. If I hadn’t been rushing to get the kids to school, I wouldn’t have accepted delivery.

1st delivery good but 2 of the timber decking useless as one very twisted and another badly stained. I decided to absorb the cost and ordered 3 decking planks but fulham timber Missed 2 delivery days I stayed in all day twice what a waste of time

Beading not properly right-angled. Some green stains on the wood. Wood not properly smooth in places. Wouldn’t use again. The beading from Wickes was much better.

The time for delivering the goods is to long. You are only given a delivery date after you buy the goods. No matter what time you call customer services you can never speak to anyone and they don't reply to messages left.

I ordered 16 M of 225mm skirting. This arrived in 5 different pieces which varied in size from max 3.5M to one piece which was >2M. I needed at least one piece that was 3.8M long. I decided to live with what had been given to me and cracked on with priming the wood. Only when i came to complete the installation did i notice that the wood was a combination of warped, sniped and of irregular profile. ie the height of the skirting varied by 1cm along its length. I contacted the branch and they then sent me replacement items which were ~5M long, however by this time i had much of it installed. Overall, i felt that i had been sent the crappy scraps that until i complained. At that point i was sent some decent stuff. I didnt have space to store it and so it was returned.

I am still waiting for a partial refund of items not delivered after I amended the order. The delivery was a day early without notice and when I hadn’t arranged to be in.

The first order, purchase order 14052 was ok, the correct item was delivered so when I realised I needed more wood the same for my project I placed a repeat order with Fulham Timber, purchase order 14082, however the service this time was absolutely awful because the wrong item was delivered - two long thinnish 1" planks of wood were delivered which were nothing like the 5m long thick plank which I ordered. I was disappointed and should have not accepted the delivery of PO 14082 (but I did) and I should have rang up to complain (but I did not as I could not face the hassle and stress of waiting again for the correct item to be ordered). Effectively I completely wasted my money on the second purchase order 14082 as the wood delivered was not what I ordered and therefore was totally unsuitable for my project. I then went to www.mpmoran.co.uk and managed to buy some more wood equivalent to the 5m worth required. To whoever is loading the lorries at Fulham Timber, please kindly do not dispatch an order if you do not have the right material in stock. It is far better to delay an order until you have the right material in than to dispatch the wrong stuff and disappoint the customer.

Products ordered are good, however…I placed an order and received an email confirming my delivery date. 2 days prior to that date I realised I needed to add more items to my order. I called and asked if I could add more to my existing order and was told that it was not possible as my order was already packed for delivery and that I would need to make a new order. I made the new order online and was charged an additional £48 delivery charge. My initial order was not made on the date I was notified. Four days later, both orders arrived on the same delivery after I paid for 2 £48. delivery charges. Poor customer service.

Ordered 2.4K lengths and on a day of delivery I got a call it will come random lengths. I arrived 5m long and still some odd!! Thanks god we managed to bring it in through balcony at lover level.. I don’t think quantiles added up in the end and builder told wood was not straight.. so could do better.. but worked out in the end.

I ordered 14 linear meters of planed white oak and was only able to use 9 meters. The rest was either cracked down the middle (their own drivers were used) or the sheets used were not big enough and large parts of it were coarse and un-planed. I went with them for the price and my carpenter struggled to finish my stairs with the material I was sent, they had to compromise on quality and aspect and I still had to purchase extra from somewhere else. In the end it cost me more than going for a more expensive supplier due to these issues. I would not recommend Fulham Timber. I was also sent an email requesting that I provide feedback on the experience and inform them if the goods were satisfactory but I never heard back, I am not certain if their system timed out when I clicked submit.
