Opened a policy, paid £25 in, went to close policy 34 days after opening (apparently the cut off is close policy within 30days to get funds back) Originally told i had not paid anything into the policy, had to send screenshots of bank to prove i had, they then they changed their story to actually you have paid but you are not eligible for a refund of premiums due to closing policy on day 34 needed to 30days. No apologies for me having to prove i had made a payment to them? This is after i have sent multiple emails and call back requests. Ive placed a complaint but i am not hopeful.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We will look into why this occurred. The 30 day cancellation period, during which customers may change their mind and request a refund of any money paid, is standard across all financial services organisations. Any cancellation requests outside of the 30 days, regardless of when they occur, are handled as early surrenders. Details about this are provided in the cancellation notice sent to you in your new policy pack and in our product literature. I recently invested (joint) in a Bond for the first time, found the online application very easy and after a few days I received the welcome letter. I will make further investments with Foresters Friendly Society in the future and I recommend it. Now I am waiting to receive the gift card from them.

When opening my account I found it very easy and when talking to a member of staff, I found them to be very efficient and friendly. I have been a member of The Foresters for about fifty years and was treasurer of the Wetherby Court, when that closed I was transferred to Knaresborough Court 506 and am now on the committee. I wish I had saved with the Foresters before now, as it is a really good organisation to belong to and I have introduced a number of friends to join our fraternity, which they really enjoy being part of.

I am already a member of Foresters Friendly Society and chose to transfer an existing ISA to them. As this is still in train I cannot give 5 out of 5 but response so far from foresters has been quick and helpful.

I have attended only one Forester meeting so far which is probably insufficient to allocate a 5 star review. Maybe it deserves the extra star because I was impressed with what I saw ( the first of any meeting I've ever been to that served fish and chips as a break refreshment. For any organisation to function effectively and efficiently there needs to be dedication within its members. I saw an abundance of this virtue at the meeting I attended,

I haven't heard anything since I put £1000 in an ISA. Also I tried to invest in another monthly policy not realising that tho I am 74 I am in my 75th year so ineligible...silly me.

yep great service i have been with pois / Foresters for 40 years and always had a policy going at any one time . little disappointed did not get my marks and spencers vouchers this time. but that aside great service on the phone kr Steve

I invested with Forresters because there was a good cashback offer via Quidco, but this has not tracked and I have had to set up a claim for it to be investigated, so first impressions have not been great.
