“A very tasty and well prepared goose that was delivered on the day as promised and just in time for Christmas. My only criticism is that the cooking instructions are a bit vague and should be clearer and more detailed.”

“The goose was fresh on arrival and even though I kept it for 5 days before cooking was absolutely perfect. I have given a good rating rather than VG as unfortunately the leg of lamb I ordered did not arrive. I spoke to F2F and they explained that a mistake had been made politely and were professional giving me a full refund.”

“The only thing that I can knock a star off for is that the price per kilo on the page does not match what I actually paid, and that I couldn't buy the joint in as large a piece as I wanted. This applies to other things I bought too. However, the delivery was quick, the packaging is first class, and the product is wonderful. The Topside joint is what we've sampled so far, and it was just delicious. It served more meals than the same weight meat from else where has usually done too, simply due to less shrinkage whist cooking, and the fact that there is no waste. Would certainly recommend, though please have your price per kilo actually reflect true price.”

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear that you have enjoyed our beef Topside joint and that you found the delivery quick and the packaging first class. In response to your comments relating to the accuracy of the advertised price per kilo, I will try and explain below how the pack prices are calculated on our website, and hopefully, reassure you of their accuracy. To calculate the price, it is important to understand that we sell our meat in weight bands. In the case of the 1.25kg topside joint you purchased, we will have supplied you with a joint weighing between 1.25kg and 1.5kg. The price point for this joint is set in the middle of the weight band and using the advertised price per kilo we determine the pack price. In this instance, it would be 1.375kg x £13.20/kg = £18.15, which is the price you paid. The price is, therefore, an average price, which we feel is the fairest way to calculate it. Sometimes you may get a little bit more meat than you paid for and sometimes a little less, but calculated over the entirety of your order the weights and prices generally balance out. I hope this makes sense. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us with your feedback. We have certainly taken your comments on board and will look to see if we can make the use of our price/kg indicator and pack price calculations on the website a little more easy to understand. “* Meet was 1st class * customer service was great and helped arranging delivery while I was away from home * only complaint I have is that the leg bone I received had little marrow accessible. I would be happy to pay extra if I could receive bones richer in marrow.”

“Hello, Love your meat, and you provide a very quick service which is greatly appreciated. We find the fact the meat is already frozen is very convenient for us. Other observations. Once some meat arrived that was thawing significantly, once when just the meat on the top was beginning to thaw. We do find disposing of the frozen gell packs is a bit of a yucky process (defrosting them, then washing the gell down the sink). Then there is the box and the polystyrene to dispose of. I guess nothing much can be done about these things. Abel and Cole, who we have used on a couple of occasions, do take away boxes from previous deliveries when they bring a new one, but I guess they have their own delivery vans which makes that possible. But you do provide lovely meat which is greatly appreciated, thanks.”

“After having placed one order, I am very happy with the service received and the quality of the meat. All we tried so far tastes very good, and the packaging works well directly from the box to the freezer. I also specified a delivery date (rather than just immediately after the order came in), and that was met with no issues. The reason I do not give 5 stars is the outer packaging, where very thick styrofoam was in only insulation material. While this might be practical and cheap, there are much more environmentally friendly solutions around (e.g. wool based), and esp. a supplier who prides himself on environmentally friendly meat should in my opinion also follow these principles during packaging. So I will be buying there again for special cuts (an Xmas goose springs to mind), but for regular consumption this type of packaging generates too much waste that cannot be recycled.”

“Good value meat and flavour is very good. Delivery was prompt. Unfortunately some chops had defrosted in the very hot weather but the cost was refunded very quickly, so overall we are very satisfied”

“THE BEEF BURGERS WERE NOT FOR ME SO I CANNOT COMMENT ON THEIR TASTE BUT THEY ARRIVED IN TIME FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY BAR- B QUE.IF THEY WERE SUPPOSED BE IN A FROZEN STATE THEY WERE NOT BUT HAD FROZEN BAGS AROUND THEM TO CHILL THEM AND THE PACKAGING WAS WELL INSULATED.”
