The goose smelt off and was obviously turning. The other meats were lovely

I received some items without labels, so I mistakenly defrosted ox heart instead of liver. The skirt steak was nice; however, the minute steaks arrived in unevenly thin shapes, with some larger pieces and some very small shavings. Despite the short cooking time, the minute steaks were very chewy and unpleasant in taste. I only cooked the ox heart to medium rare, and I subsequently developed bloating, nausea, and abdominal pain. I went to A&E where I was referred for various specimen tests and exams. This was the first time I placed an order with this company, and I am not impressed. I will not order again; I will stick with another organic farm I used to order from.

Although I ordered a lot of products every month, the company doesn't really respect their faithful customers, in the last month getting worse and worse. The meet comes packed with to much water inside, so I I payed for 600 g steaks, In fact they weight around 450g. Some rump steaks don't have fat at all and the mutton meet has lately lots of tissue that needs to be cut away since it is not eatable. Only the liver and heart was decent, the expensive stuff was less than average. They were much better some years ago, not anymore unfortunately:(. I will look to buy from somewhere where it's worth the money.

The service was impeccable, very easy to order, good window of delivery dates. However, the product was 'ok'. We purchased a goose for £120. Probably the most expensive single bit of meat we have bought. It was much smaller than expected, I was quite taken aback when I unwrapped it. The thawing and cooking instructions we very detailed. The taste was good but not exceptional - I think the size was the most surprising part of the experience. We are avid goose fans but this did not hit the mark.

The sausage arrived open full of ice and when I tried them they tasted disgusting, they were old, we decided to throw them in the bin. The sirloin steak was very hard, it was too thick and very hard to cook on a normal kitchen cooker. My experience was not good and I prefer now to buy the meat from Pipersfarm as suggested.

These breasts unfortunately were tough out of the packet and continued to be tough after cooking. I usually buy organic free range chicken and they are soft but sadly not these ones. My son refused to eat them and he eats chicken every single day.

We were disappointed in the products, tried braising beef and whole chicken so far - I am an experienced cook but both were tough and not as much flavour as I had hoped. Ethically I felt better as I knew how the animal had been treated. Sorry, will not be buying again.

Goose arrived with no fat or giblets. I called and they were sent out next day which was great. The problem came on morning of 24th when the goose really started to smell!! I checked inside breast cavity and saw its had nt been cleaned properly, with bits of innards at the far end that had started to turn. I ended up taking breasts an legs off and confit them for Christmas Dinner, no ideal at all! But in fairness it was tasty. This was the third year I ve ordered a Christmas goose from Farm2Fork and the only one I ve been disappointed.

I bought fillet steaks (7 packets x 2 steaks) at £14 per pack. I’ve tried two packets so far and found all four steaks riddled with too much inedible sinew.

Haven’t eaten it yet but I’m sure the meat will be tasty. But I’ve sent you 2 emails regarding packaging and nr. I would have liked to send it all back - what a waste! It could be sprayed (covid) on return and reused

Hi Teresa, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry if I've missed your emails, this wasn't intentional. In answer to your query, we agree, we would really like to be able to reuse our packaging, but unfortunately, due to us using a third-party courier to deliver our meat there isn't currently a viable way for us to do this. For the time being, all we can suggest is that you recycle, compost and reuse what you can. Another thing for you to consider is to maybe order larger quantities less frequently as this will be more packaging efficient. I hope this is helpful. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Ollie

My recent order arrived partially defrosted with some items being half defrosted. I emailed customer service about this but nobody came back to me. Not sure if I'll be coming back for more :(

Hi Michal, I'm sorry you didn't receive our reply to your email, we did come back to you straight away, but frustratingly the email we sent kept bouncing back, with a 'delivery status notification failure' warning. Can please contact me so that we can discuss this further? My number is 01460 53988. Many thanks, Ollie

The 2 chicken breast’s that I ordered were more expensive than a whole chicken, that made no sense to me. - and i obviously didn’t pick this up as the ordering / weight options is not clear. You really wouldn’t expect to pay more for 2 chicken breast than a whole chicken? It was outrageously expensive. All the product was also frozen, I didn’t expect the goods to be frozen... farm to fork, via the freezer for how long? For the price I expected it to be as fresh as can be?

Dear Andrew, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear of your concern at the price of our chicken breasts and that our meat is supplied frozen. We do try to be as clear as possible on our website and include the product price, product price/kg, and product supplied frozen information in prominent locations on our product pages. It is really important to us that our customers are able to make a fully informed purchase. I will review how this information is displayed on our product pages to see if we can make it any clearer. As a farm, we specialise in raising grass-fed meats, and just like vegetables, good grass-fed meat has a seasonality too, with grass only growing for 6-8 months a year. To produce the best quality grass-fed meats we are slaughtering animals when the pasture is at its best and when the animals are able to enjoy an outdoor life. If you read our chicken page you will see that we are only raising chickens from the months of April through to September. https://www.farm2fork.co.uk/product-category/free-range-pasture-raised-chicken/ I hope this helps to explain what we do and why, and I very much hope you enjoy the rest of your order. As our meat is frozen immediately after butchery you will not find that the freezing process will have affected the quality or taste of the products in any way. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know. Kind regards, Ollie

I’ve had 4 previous orders from these guys and the meat has been absolutely amazing! But this order I received this time is very poor quality texture is soggy and taste is off . However I did contact them and they did issue a full refund. If anyone else reads this please write a honest review as we are paying for top quality meat and that’s what should be delivered. Namaste .
