“Used a quote I received last week from Engine Trust along with 2 others that were much the same price. The new quotes were more than double the price I am paying to get the engine and fitted.”

“The service is good, but the prices quoted are very high. It is my brother-in-law's car I was enquiring about, a 2013 Ford Mondeo 1.6TDCi, with 180K miles. Not worth a great deal, and not worth spending £2100 (one quote) on. The cheapest engine was £895, plus fitting costs. The cambelt has snapped or stripped, and he has had a quote of £1100 to repair it, again economically not viable. He has decided to sell the car as "spares or repair" - someone who is able to fix it themself might buy it.”

“I needed a quote for an exchange engine as mine may have needed replacing. Luckily it didn't but Engine trust got me a few good quotes with details of ee worked engines. All similar prices inc fitting. Did everything I needed PDQ, will definitely come back when/if I need spares again. Thanks guys.”

“I found it most helpful. My Fiat Pandais coming to the end of its mechanical days but the bodywork is still sound the question is whether to buy a new car or to recondition my present car . Reconditioning my present car becomes a distinct possibility. However, I live in Worcester, quite a way from Essex.”
