“Received quotes from around 12 different engine companies, none apparently VAT registered and the vast majority sounding dodgy at the very best. Some quotes were from Ltd companies that, on investigation, were dissolved years ago or never actually registered in the first place. None gave me the confidence to spend £thousands with them, I ended up going to a reputable local company which cost more but didn't give me sleepless nights”

“I wouldn't trust Engine Trust again. After making the comparisons I chose a garage Revive My Engine. They've had the car and nearly £3k of my money since June. There's no update or sign of my car and they don't reply to messages, calls or emails. Legal process has begun to get my car and money back. Are the garages verified on Engine Trust??”

“All I wanted was a price comparison. I was hoping not to have endless emails after that. In the event, it was easier to get my existing engine fixed.”

“I looked for an engine for my Ford Galaxy because I thought mine was messed up. It turned out it was fine a minor issue. So I didn't buy off the site that's the only reason I didn't buy, didn't need an engine but I would definitely use the site again if I was looking for one”

“This is difficult. Six months on and I don't have my car. I am well over £20k out of pocket, not counting all the other things I have not been able to do without my car all summer. I have been ghosted by the engine builder. I have no idea what is going on. I do not understand the relationship between Engine Trust and the engine builders, but I have found the whole process deeply unsatisfactory and frankly distressing. I would certainly never embark on this again. My comments are tempered by the fact I want my otherwise pristine and highly valued vehicle back in a usable condition.”

“Had 3 quotes which seemed promising but delving further into the quotes and speaking to the garages found a lot of underlying costs. Not truthful about the service or costs so won't be using any of them”
