these are definetly the worst company i have ever dealt with they will only bring a car to a garage they do not fix it the man on the phone asked so many questions i nearly had a breakdown myself, i could hardly hear him and i don't think he should be allowed to answer calls i rang back an hour later to cancel only to be told by another man it was already cancelled i asked why and he said because i wouldnt give the name of a garage a great whopping lie i did name a garage only the first guy put the phone down on me please please avoid this company they are useless

Terrible company using every excuse not to attend to your breakdown. DO NOT USE AS YOU WONT BE COVERED SHOULD YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, wait until the good reviews need assistance then that will change.

They do not bother much about your situation. They only take car to the chosen by you garage. They do not send mechanic on place to fix it if possible. I took Premium Membership but when was time to claim money from Parts and Labor cover they inform me that I need a proof of full service for the last 12 months. From my experience is better invest in full service rather them. They sell false promise. I do not recommend or trust them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU DIE ON THE HARD SHOULDER. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE ENCOUNTERED SUCH DISGUSTING SERVICE. ABSOLUTE SCAM MERCHANTS. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!

So being stuck on the side of the road, I call my breakdown cover company expecting an answer and some help, after all that’s what I paid for! Absolutely nobody answered the call, I wasn’t even in a queue- nobody answered! Absolutely dreadful service!!

I have a comprehensive policy which includes home start... This morning car wouldn't start ..phoned up Emergency assist and got a young lady I can only assume was in a call centre in South Africa who told me I would have to phone back with the post code of my nearest garage...this is before anyone has been called out and looked at the car!!! How many of you know the post code of your local garage? Don't use... they're cheap for a reason.

It's a scam. Should of read the reviews.. They won't recover you, you will be dropped to the closest garage. And will pay for that privilege.

Absolutely terrible service Absolutely terrible service, do not waist your money, join AA instead. I broke down in my large motorhome in a very dangerous location, cars just pushing past when I couldn’t move on a dangerous junction. I called these guys to recover me and they wouldn’t help unless I told them a garage where they would get me too close to where I was. I did know the area at all and it was around 5 pm on a Friday afternoon. They refused to send anyone out until I found a garage. Wouldn’t even come out to see if they could get me going and I had premium cover. I told them about the dangerous position and they just did not help in anyway at all and left me stranded. Luckily I had AA cover as part of of my bank account. The AA were with me is less than an hour and managed to get me home. DO NOT use this company, they will leave you stranded and not even call back to see if your safe or anything I fully intend to officially report these to the omnibus. They will not help you when you break down

Shocking dangerously inept response when you breakdown. Wont recover you unless you find a garage willing to drop tools to look at your car within 25miles. No national recovery even if that is what you pay for.

I have had long running issues with this company, they are APPALLING. They have lied on a number of occasions to cover their back, most recently they LIED IN A SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST RESPONSE and have failed to respond to requests as to why they lied. I had Premium cover (still have as they have failed to cancel my policy following my request to in February) - they refused to send assistance when I got a puncture unless I paid a minimum of £125 (I declined to), even though their literature states that flat tyres and punctures are covered under all levels of cover and I met all the terms - they failed to respond to a postal complaint that they received, and signed for, in February. They only responded when I filed a second complaint via Resolver and didn’t refer to some issues that were raised in the postal complaint. On receiving professional advice, I made a Subject Access Request, questioning when they received my postal complaint and responded to it, along with the current status of my policy. Tom Coates responded to the SAR stating that they received my postal complaint on 16 April, after I made my further complaint via Resolver. I have signed evidence they received my letter on 26 February, and they were sent a copy of that on 16 April but still chose to LIE. I have questioned why they have lied - NO RESPONSE. They manipulate their Trustpilot score by getting people to review them before using their service. THERE ARE VAST AMOUNTS OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON THE INTERNET FROM PEOPLE THEY LEFT STRANDED, THEY LITERALLY MAKE UP THE TERMS AS THEY GO ALONG. *** If you do decide to take cover, use a cashback site, eg Topcashback or the like, you will get 55% of your premium back. Hit them where it hurts, they only want your money for nothing, a really nasty company.

Stay away if you can. They demand payment of £10 for cancellation even before policy actually started. I received terms and conditions after purchase and found out their policy is constructed the way everything is on discretion, cover you max to £2000 and no pets. Recovery of the vehicle from abroad can cost thousands, with them you are only going to stay without help. There a plenty of reviews from people who were refused help and left on the street after finding some excuses, even damaged tyre doesn’t qualify as they say it’s your fault so no assistance. Absolute con artists!

SCAM SCAM SCAM!! DO NOT USE! Awful company designed to profit off the misfortunes of others! Called 11months ago with dead battery - no call out provided as they could not access, I arranged myself to get the battery replaced and had it MOT and serviced and drove it for 11months no issue. Then when car wouldn't start today they said it was an 'ongoing issue' so they couldn't recover without me paying extortionate prices!!!

If it was possible to give ZERO stars I would. This company are an absolute joke. Left stranded in Sheffield with 3 kids and two dogs..... just repeated T&Cs like a robot and offered no help or solutions. They have no heart or desire to help their customers. If ever there was a company which cares solely about money, this cess pit of a company would be it. My only consolation is that there is a special seat in hell for folks like this. I wouldn't wish this shower of sh!t on my worst enemy.

I've been with emergency assist for years and I've been having a few issues with my car during the last year which has led me to call them twice. The first time I called I had no issue and got my car towed no questions asked to a garage of my choice. Yesterday I broke down on the side of a busy road - the first time I rung they told me I don't have an active policy, I then rung back with the policy number and was asked what was wrong with the car, I explained a warning light had come on and the car wouldn't drive. I happened to break down 10/15 minutes walk from a garage, so I had got out the car and walked on foot to ask the garage if they could give me some advice on what was wrong. I explained this on the phone and was repeatedly told as I was already at a place of repair they would not help me. It did not matter how many times I told them I was outside a garage, on foot, my car was broken down on the side of the road, they would not budge. This left me - a female stuck on the side of the road all night having to arrange and pay for a private tow home. 12 hours later I finally got a call back from the manager who was as unhelpful as the call handler and just repeatedly told me I was already at a place of repair. No basic communication skills, no level of understanding, no ability to be at all flexible or helpful given the cirumstances, no apology, in fact the manager hung up on me! I will NEVER use this company again and would not recommend anyone else to because when you need them, the simply may not help. It seems luck of the draw who picks up the phone to you and what mood their in that day! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Awful company. DO NOT USE. Cheap price = No service. Refused to come out to tow my disabled mum's car, lied to us on the phone and then declared we hadn't told them about it. Will happily take them to court with an SAR.

Got charged £100 cancellation fee despite cancelling within 23 minutes of a call out. No one had attended or even attempted to attend but still was charged anyway. This company will avoid providing breakdown assistance for those customers in need and will try and profit from their customers too! Shameful company I would avoid at all costs.

Had this breakdown in January. My battery went flat, I February they came out and jumped it, I changed the battery, at £220, A couple of weeks ago we had to load the boot, we had 5 passenger suit cases, and a load of bedding we had to get in the car. We were at a air B&b, we had food as well we had to bring back, and the boot was full, I moved the car twice with no problems only 20 Mins before. Due to taking 20 mins to load the car, I got a flat battery, this was a Range Rover, my interior light at the back only was on, in 20 mins I had a flat battery, I had a noco battery charger it would t start it, we had someone jump the car it would t work, we needed a large charge, this is why we rang breakdown, at least 20 minuets on the phone, the lady said you e had this problem Before, yes but l've changed the battery. I had to pay £200 before she would send anybody out, she said you need to send proof it was changed witch I did, they had now said due to Me saying a light was on at the back they will not pay my £200, we needed to go to Heathrow airport, over one and half hrs a very nice breakdown man came he had a lot bigger charger than mine and started it, I said when did you get the call, he said 15 minutes ago, I was fuming, they didn't even bother to Get any one for one and half hrs, do not use this company, they will Find a way of not coming out, and not reimbursing you when they said they would, I've had my boot open since for over 20 Mins and not had a flat battery and yes the light was on, at the back, I use the boot a lot at night, I need a light on . I read some reviews and it was hit and miss, I took a chance, never again, £200 for someone to jump your car for 10 Minutes!!!!!!! Date of experience: 23 April 2024

This company is the biggest scam going PLEASE PLEASE do not use them, I have cover for my 20 year old daughter but they wouldn't come out to her as they said it was a problem connected to a previous problem that they hadn't even been out to?!! However if I wanted to pay £100 + they would get someone out to look at the car????WTAF an absolute con!
