“Hutch is overall Nice to look at and meets standards - however I did not receive any locks so all 4 doors cannot be closed properly. Customer service is APPAULING with this company. Complained 5days ago via email with no response as of yet. Also rang the customer service number TWICE 5days ago to be hung up on BOTH times. Literally had to keep my guinea pigs on the upper level of the hutch and wedge a garden chair against the doors to keep them closed!!! Would never buy from here again purely due to the lack of customer service. Shame. UPDATE Customer service got worse when I didn’t think it could have. I eventually got a phone call & numerous emails asking to change my review (not to try and rectify the issue I had or the locks I didn’t receive) purely about changing the review. I eventually received my hutch locks 5 days after the phone call which was terrible considering they could have posted them first class and my guinea pigs could have been in a safer hutch days earlier!!!! The locks have been on the hutch 3days and one of them has actually snapped off - HOW CAN A LOCK SNAP IN HALF. So I am now down a lock AGAIN. Doesn’t keep the door closed securely at all. Never am I ever using this company again I’ve never experienced such chaos.”

“I purchase the Buckingham chicken house and run. Ordered on Monday and was delivered on Thursday, good customer service. My only problem was the instructions to put it together weren't very clear, but have managed to do this and i have very happy chickens”

“Phoned before ordering to confirm the item came with felt roof, was assured it did so placed the order. Turned up, no felt roof. Rang them again and to say they were less than helpful is an understatement”

“Firstly, I paid for express delivery and the first delivery attempt stated there was no one at home, despite the fact there was two people waiting in all day for the item. This meant it was delivered a day later so I should not have bothered paying for the express delivery. Secondly the hutch is a lot smaller than I anticipated, the images on the website are very misleading and the overall quality of the hutch is not worth the money paid. I am now going to buy a new hutch elsewhere.”

“Having had chickens for many years thought Id try this company. Quality of product very poor, wood split, looked larger in photo than actually was, screws so small they'll not hold anything for long, wood very thin and brittle in places. Egg box roof wouldn't open properly Really disappointed. And instructions dreadful. Get what you pay for! I abandoned it altogether and opted to splash out on a much higher quality of product that will last. only upside was delivery.”

“After buying what we thought was supposed to be a good quality coop things went down hill. The quality of the finish is shocking. Most of the finishing lines aren't straight, making it difficult to make it secure. Then after minimal use we lifted the roof and it fell off. The screws and thickness of the wood are not up to the demands placed on the coop. After only having it for 2 weeks we are now looking at purchasing one from somewhere else in the hope that it will last a little longer than 2 weeks. A lot of money wasted. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else as now we have to find a way to rehome 10 chickens until we find the money to sort another coop out. Disappointed doesn't cut it.”

“Ordered the walk in chicken run, arrived next day delivery everything was there no missing parts and no damage. Was easy to fit up and very secure for my girls. I ordered item on phone line as wanted to make sure I was getting next day delivery which I did. Customer service very helpful and polite. Cage is good quality and I will be recommending to all my chicken friends. Thank you so much.”

“Arrived on the day arranged, 10 am so did not have to hang around all day....happy with the coop we put it together in one and a half hours. There was a bracket missing which I am sure we can get round that. Good value for money from a honest company.”

“I bought the Windsor xxl 8ft mobile chicken coop and run. It arrived quickly, but I must say that we never received email notification of delivery (so we might have been out!) All was ok and hubby erected the coop and run relatively easily within about 2-3 hours. Liked the spare screws! The instructions were ok but not brilliant. He decided to treat all the wood surfaces before putting it into use...fiddly but we thought wise. The problems started when we first tried to wheel it on a grass surface. It became clear that the coop and run would only move easily on dead flat ground with very short grass...like a bowling green...but who keeps chickens on a bowling green! Once in situ it looked good and were were initially quite happy. Our site is flat with short grass but it's not a bowling green and a few days later when we wanted to move the coop, it again proved to be difficult. My hubby made some wooden rails on which to run the coop wheels without dragging. Despite being relatively well connected, the coop and run sections flex when moved to a new position. This has caused problems with the closing of the run gate. Hubby has therefore braced the whole structure around its base to ensure rigidity and more bracing is planned. We suspect that without all this extra bracing the run and coop would not last for long. We have had a mobile coop on a rough field for many years and it has lasted well. We did not expect this coop to be as robust but we did expect it to be fit for purpose (mobile) on flat ground and in our opinion it isn't.”

“This coop is really good the wood is sturdy and the all the hinges are very strong. The only bad thing was that one part was broken in the box. Easy to assemble in the evening.”

“Its well made, easy to put together although I don't know why we have 'J' fitting. However, I am a bit disappointed about how small it is, I though it would be big enough to walk in from the picture so finding that the gate is only about 12" wide was a disappointment. Only 1/2 put together so far but chicks are arriving on Sunday. Okay as a starter coop and run.”

“Really pleased with the Roger Rabbit Hutch with Cover! Better than expected and the delivery was fast. Only a concern, nothing bad - I had no order confirmation send through to my email nor a dispatch notification which I was told I was supposed to have received. This was not a major problem as the communication was fab when I requested information about my order. Will definitely recommend and use eggshell online again! Very happy:)”

“We paid extra to have the next day delivery promised prominently on the eggshell website. Order before 2:30 for next day delivery. Not only did the ordered coop not turn up the next day but I was told it was on its way and would be with me. To add insult to injury my email asking where the delivery was and requesting a refund of my next day delivery fee was ignored and I received no reply. The coop itself is OKish. I guess you gets what you pays for.”

“After having to buy drill bits to drill holes, having damaged parts, miss cut parts which in turn broke the roof. I obviously complained only to be fobbed off then lied too. Called and arranged a delivery of bad parts only to not receive anything. Worst customer services I've experienced for a long time. Took weeks for them to send out the parts i needed for the new parts to be damaged by the original fault! I still have a broken/damaged coop that would have been returned if I hadn't ordered hens for the following day. Disgusting actions .. was offered a 'gesture of good will' and guess what? Never got that either. Buyer BEWARE”

“This is a useful run but erecting it was made more difficult by inadequate instructions and labelling. Some parts were not labelled. Also some of the tubes were slightly misshapen which made joining together difficult and a weld for on of the screws failed. Finally there is no door handle which makes opening and closing difficult. If they fixed these issues it would be a much better product.”

“1. Excellent value. I couldn't make it for the price and pay myself a decent wage! Well packed and delivered in 48 hours. 2, Went together without any great difficulty. You've just got to take your time. Use of dowels for locating parts is very good and predrilled screw holes help a lot. 3. I've made 2 modifications: a. Fixed (with staple gun) pieces (5"X 6") of roofing felt between bars on ramp to help bantams get a grip with their feet. b. Screwed 2"X 1" battens along both sides of the base to stiffen the pen, especially when moving to a clean site on grass. I will probably fit lifting handles too. 4. Will give 1 or 2 further coats of preservative before exposing to the weather. (We live in west Wales!)”
