Can’t say that I would recommend this company as they have been been a nightmare to deal with due to their failure on multiple fronts to live up to what their website advertises. A couple weeks before my MOT Is due Multiple warning lights show up on dash, diagnostic shows the ABS module stops communicating once warm illuminating the ABS and other warning lights. As my cars MOT was due soon I needed ABS module ASAP and ecutesting website say they have a 3 day turnaround. However they received my ABS module on 1st October but it was not even assessed until 7th, and I was not contacted until the 8th of October when ecutesting called to say my module was faulty but unrepairable. NOT a 3 day turnaround! They said that they could provide a reconditioned replacement coded to my car from one of their suppliers on an exchange basis -why on an exchange basis if mine was not repairable? 10th October MOT expired so now car cannot go anywhere except for an MOT test. 14th October I finally receive a replacement ABS module from ecutesting but although they said it would be, it is NOT coded leaving my car undrivable. 19th October, At further cost to myself I arrange for my car to be taken to have the ABS module fitted and coded professionally, it is then taken to an MOT testing station where it fails due to the ABS warning light illuminating during the MOT test, failure -Anti-lock braking system warning lamp indicates an ABS fault (1.6 (b)) Mechanic calls to tell me the ABS module has failed during MOT test, I manage to find a replacement for the module ecutesting supplied, the replacement is fitted/coded and car was able to be taken for a retest later the same day, and my car passes. Since it had just failed during an MOT test the ABS module that ecutesting supplied is boxed up and returned to them but they say it tests ok- Which is a bit like asking a student to mark their own exam paper, and a little strange seeing as it had failed during the independent MOT test causing a MOT fail! Now in order for THEM to provide a refund for the module I returned ecutesting say that I need provide them with the invoice for the replacement abs module I had to buy from SOMEBODY ELSE, and get coded in order to get my car mot’d and not have to be left with yet more fees to get my car recovered home. ecutesting state they do not pay costs such as the cost of module removal/refitting, diagnostic, coding, programming, software downloads mechanic charges etc. They are therefore not interested in any of the other extra costs incurred by myself due to their supplying an uncoded, and faulty ABS module; having the car taken to get their module coded, which they said would be done, the cost of fitting and coding the module itself, OR the cost of having the replacement module fitted and coded etc, but for some reason they now say that in order for them to refund the money that I paid THEM they need the invoice for the replacement ABS module I had to buy from SOMEWHERE ELSE! I don’t know why this is the case as I don’t want a refund for the amount it cost me to replace the faulty abs module they sent me, I want a refund for the amount I paid ecutesting, for a service I didn’t receive. I have never before asked a company for a refund and had them ask me for an invoice or receipt from somewhere else in order for them to meet their obligations I’m just glad that my car is now MOT’d and back in use, although that is no thanks to ecutesting, who I found to be a total let down. My advice would be stay away from ecutesting and use one of the companies that offer ABS module Remanufacturing.

Bad customer service. No answers to warranty requests. Have to make a new order for the warranty unit.

they not solve my problem, send (3) three times the unit back for repair. third time came back with no fault found just to get rid of me. i have a car good for scrap now... that part faulty mite contamined other programs so now is still not working. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Don’t think there was anything wrong with the ECU came back fitted to car same fault. Change camshaft sensors ( only things that I hadn’t changed) started first time. Expensive lesson😡

I had given them a cvt control unit for repair they said there was no fault when it was faulty charged me for diagnosis told there was faults in it and was faulty brought a new part fitted it and it was perfect can boys

Hi Shane, It is very unfortunate that you feel the need to continually leave us negative reviews so i would like to remind you of the facts of the matter. I have personally tried to contact you in order to help with your situation, but you hung up on me. The purchase you made was over two years ago and would normally be covered under our lifetime warranty. However, as you have stated on several occasions when you first received the part, you found issues so you took the unit apart yourself rather than return it to us for checking which voided your warranty. This is clear in our warranty documentation. You rightly state that you were given a refund but your negative feedback remained the same. Not reconditioned and failed. Now they won’t honour warranty. Totally useless and a scam

Hi Shane, It is truly unfortunate that you feel this way. All of our units are reconditioned with higher than standard OEM rated components and are rigorously tested before leaving our premises. Due to this we have been working with independent specialists and main dealerships for many years and we proudly provide our lifetime warranty on all parts. I have looked into your job from two years ago (at the time of writing this) and I can see that the warranty was indeed honoured with a replacement and also a full refund, even though the warranty had been voided by yourself by altering the unit. Pump not reconditioned just cleaned. Failed and they won’t honour warranty. Total rubbish parts

All of our parts are higher rated than standard OEM parts and are designed to last, we have rebuilt units for main dealer and independent specialists for many years and can proudly and confidently provide our lifetime warranty. I sent my megatronic unit in for checking they sent it back saying it’s ok charged me put it back in car still no good give the car in to gearbox specialist the mega tronic unit was no good this place it’s not accurate so any one sending it don’t

Your unit did however sustain damage during transit which we have fixed for you. These units are a common unit which we see in on a daily basis and our success rate for repair is very high. After 2 weeks finaly got the Ecu back after i was told no fault found even though i sent pics of the problem, phil did sort out a discount though but not teally happy with the service.

Massive rip off Sent a clearly faulty ECU for testing, According to there technicians there was nothing wrong with the ECU. Bought a new ECU and problem solved. I know why the turned around is so quick, they are not testING A DARM THING!

Sent ECU for 2.7 WJ jeep. Had difficulty communicating with the ECU, stored codes that wouldn't clear, car kept stalling, difficult to start. ECU Testing at first said they were having difficulty accessing the software and it was sent to the R&D unit. Then they said the unit tested fine and passed all tests. Returned the ECU - exact same problems. Stored codes we can't clear, difficulty communicating with unit, car difficult to start and stalls.

Not alone was my unit not fixed - it is now damaged as it has issues that did not exist before ECU Testing repaired it. My car now lurches out of corners. I have spent well over 650euro for all the work - so sending it back to ECU for another attempt to fix it is not financially viable at this point. Initially, I had been impressed but now Am very disappointed with poor response from ECU Testing The dealership would have cost >1k - if I had had that kind of money I would have gone that route and had it done in a day.

Hi Maeve When we saw your unit in originally we found your unit to be faulty for the reported fault you described, you contacted us 2 weeks later to say that you were experiencing issues and so we arranged for our technical assistance coordinator to contact you to discuss this further, we received your unit back in under warranty and the unit tested with no faults found as it was performing and functioning as it should do. based on your faults we advised that it could be an external issue on the vehicle and the unit was dispatched back out to you. Could not access my ECU data or carry out any functional testing as they never had a "rig" suitable. No idea why, as this is what they do for a living. They sent the unit back saying that there was no physical damage to the components. Ok, so they had a look at it and and nothing looked broke. Thanks Waste of time.

Hi There I am sorry to hear you are not happy with our services, your particular system type and software was one that we couldn't fully power up as though it was simulated on a running vehicle, we did however carry out other testing on your unit and it was reading and performing as it should do, due to the reasons as stated above we didn't charge you any testing fee. Me devolvieron la unidad sin arreglar (creo que no era la que yo mande) y no quisieron hacerse cargo de nada. Atencion al cliente pesima, bueno directamente no hay se pasan la pelota de uno a otro. Todos los trastornos ocasionados (el montaje y desmontaje lo realice yo mismo en mi garage levantando el coche con gatos etc, un faenon) y cero responsabilidad. me devolvieron solo el coste de la "reparacion" porque pague por Pay pal y al final lo denuncie alli, entonce hicieron caso, solo entonces. Al final pieza nueva en Audi.

"fixed" a unit. ended up going back under warranty due to a different fault occurring almost instantly. had the unit for weeks only to be told it was beyond repair. my suspicion is they damaged the unit, however i don't have the technical expertise to prove this. Also far too slow to carry out any work or get back to us with a response. gone downhill since they moved location
