Sent ecu for diagnosis was told no fault found but didn't think that was correct so bought used ecu and cured problem. They insist no fault but replacement cured all the faults. Feel like I have been shafted as the are judge and jury would not recommend there services

Diagnosed 2 units sent to them. both came back as non faulty. i was charged a fee. Ended up buying new units that both worked perfectly meaning the units WERE faulty. all they had to say was "we can send you the report". they have been good in the past, but are becoming useless. dont bother sending your mechatronics unit to them for VW-AUDI-SEAT-SKODA. waste of time and money. get a new/used one

We, Gibsons Auto Services, sent a Freelander 2 ABS Modulator Assembly to ECU Testing for fault finding, the vehicle had a fault for the rear left ABS sensor signal intermittantly not registering. We were using ECU Testing as one of our colleagues had recommended the company. ECU testing "repaired" the unit and returned it to us. When re-fitted to the vehicle the original fault was gone but a new fault, C0082-48 Brake System Malfunction Indicator - Internal Electronic Failure Failure, (SW Fault) was present. The fault clears but returns straight away. The unit was returned to ECU Testing for "repair" under warranty, I use the word "repair" loosely......they couldn't fault it but said they had "re-worked" it anyway. It has now been returned to us, fitted to the vehicle and the same C0082-48 fault is still present.... We use an Autologic Diagnostic Unit which is near Dealer level diagnostic equipment, unfortunately there is no option to re-flash this ABS units software, only coding when another unit is fitted. We have asked for a refund for the original repair charges and their answer to that was "if you get another company to repair it or purchase another unit and send us a copy of their invoice we will consider refunding the costs".....So we have to pay another company to fix your failures, hope that whatever you have done is fixable and, if it is, you will "consider" refunding us the costs......I don't think so!! We will order a second hand part and you can have the failed unit back as a paperweight once we have received a credit! I think that you should have the correct facilities to test accurately the units that you advertise as being able to repair, if you cannot test these units correctly you should not offer the service to repair them! Better offering a service where you are 100% confident in your capabilities and giving your customers 100% satisfaction, than taking a chance on fixing units then letting people down. We will never use your company again, there are other companies offering the same services reliably, namely ACTronics or BBA Reman, I'm sure they have their fair share of troublesome parts to repair too but from our previous experience with using them they will tell you if they cannot repair the unit rather than taking your money and hoping for the best.

Absolutely terrible.speedo repair on audi still the same after sending back to us.Sent the unit back to repair again and was told that the unit had been opened and there was traces of glue so the warranty was void.I had to pay another £40 on top of the original£180 I already paid.i can only assume the unit hadn't been opened the first time round but we were still charged for a repair.Wont be using this company again.

all 2 of the 3 orders took far to long.Getting any info on jobs was like getting blood from a stone .Then one of the units your company said you could supply was suddenly unavailable and we had to let our customer down after 3 weeks of waiting .Not good

Hi Andy please can you call us to discuss the review which you have left as we are a little confused by this, The Volkswagon ABS unit was repaired and turned around within the quoted timescale and you have never contacted us to say that you are having any issues. Kind Regards Karen Devonport

very slow at fixing units, always take at least 5 working days. 50/50 at actually fixing things. Last unit was sent back as beyond repair after they had it for 9 working days

Chose ECU Testing because of the feedback, so was really surprised how bad they were. If your unit is repaired and there are no issues, fine, but should you have a problem like we did, they will not communicate with you. The ECU had to be fitted by a Ford Dealer as it would need to be re-programmed. The dealers informed me that it was not working, so I suggested speaking to ECU Testing, you cannot get through to them, we waited 25 minutes, so sent them an email for them to phone the dealers, never even bothered, a few more emails, never answered, one reply from a guy called Craig, after that nothing. I had to buy a reworked unit from another company, they were great, wish I went to them first. My advise, try another company first.
