Good customer service, but not so good toaster which was replaced with another which was not much better. To get even toasting I have to toast twice on low setting and turn the slices in between

We visit Dawson’s store at Skipton regularly and the staff are very helpful. However this order was done online and not very satisfactory. 7 champagne flutes arrived,4 in a box and three not in their own box, just bubble wrapped with lots of sellotape and put in a larger box. Took ages to carefully cut the sellotape and unwrap them. The last glass was found to be chipped. Careless packing, poor customer service.Phoned and got refund quickly, just hassle with phone and emails. Etc

The plate came through cracked with a huge chip out of it, despite no signs of damage to the box. Delivery is also slow considering it’s not included in the price. Not impressed from our experience in all honesty.

Would love to write a good review but dpd said that l wasn't home l WAS but they don't bother to wait around they just quickly push a card through the lettter box to say that l wasn't home! Please change to a more considerable delivery company.

Sadly my Le Creuset griddle arrived in damaged packaging - it looks like it is second hand and as it is a gift I was disappointed. It was clearly sent like that as the outer box was not damaged. The customer services team checked store and warehouse but apparently don’t have another box they can send me - I am currently waiting to find out if they have another one of the product I bought in a box that isn’t damaged so I can swap rather than return. I have had to do quite a lot to follow up on this and make suggestions as to how it might be resolved. The goods did arrive quickly but customer services who are very pleasant are slow to respond. It’s the first time I have bought from this business and it hasn’t been a great experience sadly.

On Friday I received my order, a Kitchenaid stand mixer. This was/is a Christmas present for my mother, she has always wanted one and I was very excited to be able to purchase one for her this year after a terrible year. I had the order delivered to my mother’s address as with all my Christmas shopping as it is where I will be spending Christmas and I am absolutely gutted that upon delivery her Christmas present turned up in a box that was clearly displayed exactly what was inside. My mother signed for the delivery and now knows exactly what she is getting for Christmas. I’m so annoyed that the surprise is spoiled - to the tune of £400. May you look into boxing items to conceal their identity especially at this time of year or at least notify the customer that it will coming in a box that clearly displays what is contained. If I’d of known my parcel was going to arrive ruining the surprise I would have intercepted it so my mother could have still had a surprise for Christmas.

We ordered a Le Creuset spatula for a Christmas present. Unfortunately the one they decided it was acceptable to send had a dirty wooden handle, like it had been lying on the ground or a dusty shelf for ages. It cleaned up ok so we didn't bother getting a replacement, but you really shouldn't have to do that. Delivery was prompt.

Ordered some judge cuttley, which totalled over £60. When it arrived it looked like the box had been on display for a couple of years! All the cuttley was dusty and half of it scratched. The cuttlery had fell out of the box as it had not been resealed properly. It should have be sold as 'has been on display'.

Not a great shopping experience. I ordered three items. When initially delivered 2 out of 3 were damaged. Dawsons responded quite quickly and sent replacements, however they sent a milk jug not the mug I ordered. When I pointed this out Dawsons requested a photo of the item! They then asked me to send it back. So I had to stay in three times and wrap a parcel. Poor

How wonderful to see customer service is stone dead at this store. I ordered a 6 piece knife set from ecookshop/Dawsons, it was a present for my son and daughter in law. It arrived on time in a oversized well packed outer box which I unpacked, it was undamaged. Imagine when our embarrassment when my daughter in law opened the inner box having removed the outer sleeve, all the knives were loose, not secured, they fell on the floor. Not the way to present a gift. I emailed customer services and they requested photos. I duly sent photos and received a reply stating the didn’t know the problem. Well it was pretty obvious I thought. They then decided to ignore my email so I telephoned, what a shocking response, they denied it was their fault as they had checked the internal consignment, twice in fact. The fault is not mine or the courier. It’s the second time I have received damaged goods from this retailer but it will be the last. I wasn’t asking for a return, bit late for that more a bit of understanding, why pay full price for damaged goods better shop elsewhere. I am rating it 1 star because of the customer service, Arthur Price cutlery is really good quality.

Unfortunately one of the dishes purchased was wrongly described as a large bowl/ dish when indeed it was smaller than a normal cereal bowl. This was being delivered to London as a present and was a disappointment. I am now in the process of trying to find the right dish after the sale has finished.

I ordered a le Creuset pot but it was the wrong size. Had to pay £17 postage to return it which I did 28:12 still have not been refunded. Will not use again as John Lewis or Amazon would be more efficient without the huge Postage.

I ordered LSA gin glasses and they arrived with no protective packaging and no fragile tape on the box... as a result majority of the glasses were shattered and chipped - an expensive mistake! Whilst I was really dissapointed when i opened the package, they did refund quickly after my complaint which was appreciated.
