I was given helpful advice on the best purchase for my circumstances. They price matched the product so I wanted as I had found it cheaper elsewhere. The delivery was excellent to where I wanted it in the room and they took all the packaging away. I can't fault them.

All seemed fine to start with as we were pleased to be told to expect delivery of our new gas fire in 2-3 days. When it still had not arrived over a week later, we queried the late delivery and were told there was a delay and it was out of stock until the end of January (nearly two months away)! The misleading delivery date was blamed on a nameless member of staff misreading the information on a document. However, the website continues to advertise delivery in 2-3 days. We cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Will buy elsewhere and not use Direct Fireplaces again.

We did not like the way the driver would not help us indoors with the fireplace, but wished to leave it "Kerbside" therefore it had to be returned. We subsequently paid £75 for delivery, but the carriers would not take the fireplace out of the box, nor would they take away the packaging. At £75 we would have expected this service, particularly as we are a couple in our 80's and heavy lifting is quite challenging for us. The fireplace itself is fine, now we have managed to get help with unpacking it, but we would not recommend your company to anyone in view of the issues we have had with the delivery.

Hi Glenise, Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear of the issue experienced with the delivery. We do advise in our online delivery information then the standard free delivery option is one-man, hence the necessity to deliver kerbside for safety reasons. As you will be aware, and having been made aware of a delivery issue, we subsequently offered the two-man delivery upgrade as an option to assist in getting the order into a room of your choosing. Unfortunately, it is at the courier's own discretion as to whether they will assist in unpackaging goods and this is neither a service that they advertise, nor something for which we can guarantee provision. In instances where you may have specific requirements for delivery, it is always best to run these by our team so that we can advise and potentially avoid any disappointment. Delivered on time. Easy assembly. Clear instructions for operation. Great value for money looking similar to other fires but £200 cheaper. Very pleased.

Online order, simple and quick. One of very few websites that lists most of the relevant measurements of the appliances accurately and correctly. Prices were competitive too. Delivery was prompt and straightforward. Customer service was brilliant afterwards. I’d happily buy again from this company, even if it meant paying a little extra, just to get the reassurance and service on offer

Straightforward buying process, delivery on chosen date arrived by 10am. First class product, cannot fault the quality. Fitted already, looks beautiful.

Direct Fireplaces had a good selection of fires to choose from. I would have loved a marble stone surround but the style did not suit my 1960’s house. But they did have a Baxi surround which was easy to install and looks great. The process of buying and selecting a delivery date was easy and worked well. Great service and would recommend Direct Fireplaces for your consideration.

delivered on time as promised no issues there . Once installed how do you gain access in the event of internal component failure?

Hi Albert, Thanks for your review. It's great to hear that there were no problems with the delivery. As per the manufacturer's installation and user manual for this particular fire: "In the event of malfunction contact the manufacturer, do not try to repair the heater yourself as this may result in a fire hazard or electric shock". A qualified electrician would usually be able to access the internal components of the hole-in-the-wall electric fire once installed through the front of the unit.
