Fireplace is really nice. Delivered in a crate and needed 3 people to move the plinth and mantle as they were extremely heavy.

Good sales discussion and communication. Service was marred by an initial 6 week wait for installation, followed by another 4 week wait due to unidentified technical circumstances relating to the flue-pipe. We got there in the end !

Easy to nagivate the choices available for my particular fireplace size. Your colleague was very helpful with specific information that I couldn't find and also confirmed the reason for a slight delay in delivery. The selected fire does everything as described and I am very happy with it.

Canโ€™t fault Direct Fireplaces. Helpful, friendly staff and a great choice of fires. They even held onto it for a couple of weeks until we were ready for it. The delivery company they used, however, left a lot to be desired. Sent the largest lorry ever, which struggled to get into the street (bin lorries have no problem, to give some context) with just a driver. I (female, nearing 60) had to help him get the pallet down from the lorry and carry it into the house. When we got it onto the driveway I suggested he released it from the pallet to make it lighter, and it was only later I realised he had left it and the plastic straps on the drive when he left. So in summary, 10/10 for Direct Fireplaces, 0/20 for the delivery company.

Hi Joanna, Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that your ordering experience with Direct Fireplaces was so positive, though we are sorry for any inconvenience relating to the delivery. As per the delivery information on our website, and to quote the delivery email sent by our Dispatch team prior to receipt of the goods: "the haulage company delivering your goods operate a one man delivery with a Tail Lift vehicle and Pallet truck. The driver is not insured to enter the premises but can wheel the delivery wherever he can access with the Pallet truck". On this occasion, it appears that the driver was kind enough to agree to help carry the goods inside, but again we do try to advise where applicable that the driver would not take the pallet away with them. My original fireplace was not made anymore so I picked another. Delivery was good, all packaging removed and they placed it where I wanted. The fire is now up and running after I paid someone to install. Love it, looks great and throws out lots of heat. Will be buying another for my other fireplace soon. Recommend this company.

Very helpful staff in the showroom and good communications with the fitting team. Contractor fitters used, but both the gas and electrical fitters were excellent. Really pleased with our new fire. The only thing I was non-plussed about was why I had to pay Direct Fireplaces ยฃ60 for fitting when I then needed to pay the fitters directly for their work - arrangement fee?

To clarify, we at Direct Fireplaces had only taken payment for the fire itself inclusive of VAT and delivery. Our fitting team at Direct Heating Services (our sister company) is responsible for coordinating installation dates, arranging deliveries to coincide with installations and vetting local installers. Fitting quotations issued through Direct Heating Services will carry a small additional fee for administrative services. The fitter for your order will have been subcontracted through Direct Heating Services, with a deposit payable to DHS upon booking. I hope that this information helps. The Cheadle store are a shambles, very poor customer service - the overall attitude is can't be bothered. Shop elsewhere.

Bought an electric fire. Needed gas and electric engineers to swap from a gas fire. This was arranged and carried out very efficiently. All done in one day as soon as fire in stock. We are very happy with the fire and the engineers could not have been better.

The ordering process of purchasing a fire surround was very good. Unfortunately, the 3-5 days delivery time stretched into over 3 weeks which meant having to ring Direct Fireplaces more than once to ask about progress. It would have been more helpful if the company had contacted me directly and let me know of delays, etc, rather than me as the customer, having to chase. No complaints about Direct Fireplace staff, as both people I spoke to on the phone were very apologetic and helpful, and very friendly.

Love the fireplace package I purchased from Direct Fireplaces. Not been installed yet, but I know it will look beautiful when in place. The perfect fireplace for our house renovation. The price and choice of fireplaces was really good. Customer service really helpful when needed. I will certainly use Direct Fireplaces for our next purchase.
