Have just finished installing fireplace and must say it looks as good as the advert My only criticism was the delivery date (waited a week to get one) But once passed to the delivery firm they were excellent.

I ordered a fireplace suit in Dec 2025. I was verbally promised delivery and installation by end of Jan. Then I chased for installation and was told that engineer was on leave. I chased again on his return with the team contacting me. Then the engineer just refused to install. Company then said you can arrange installation yourself and delivery was also delayed. Why sell something your engineers refuse to install. Wasted lots of our time and effort.

Hi Zahid, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for any frustration relating to this order. For your reference, the installers that we recommend are not directly employed by us and are generally vetted and subcontracted through our fitting team at Direct Heating Services. As such, if any given installer does not cover certain types of flue or gas fire (whether through lack of experience with this type of product or otherwise) then there is little we can do other than ask DHS to speak to the next most local installer and confirm their prices and coverage area. We appreciate that DHS were not able to recommend another fitter in this instance and can only apologise that we could not be of more assistance in this regard. A number of customers do arrange their own installer(s) in which case they may purchase a fireplace from us for supply and delivery only. This was presented to you as an option when the fitter came back to refuse the job. We completely appreciate that you did not wish to order the fireplace without a fitter recommendation and can see that our showroom team processed a full refund of the order on your behalf, with this in mind. I'll be back in touch when I've actually 'unboxed' the unit, given it a quick visual inspection and fitted it to my media wall... Good delivery service though.

From placing the order to having the fire fitted has been perfect. Kept informed throughout, fitted on the day agreed, no additional costs. Now we have a beautiful fire without any hassle. Would definitely recommend, thank you.

We are delighted with our fireplace suite. We have a large hall which house an upright piano. I always wanted to replace it with a fireplace, and we did. It warms up the hallway and it is so bright. My husband loves it and wants one in the living room . Well pleased with it.

The fire arrived fairly quickly however I cannot yet review how it is working as we still need to find an installer. The poor rating is due to the staff member at the Cheadle store, who assured us twice when ordering the fire that they could fit this before christmas. Then after ordering the fitters informed us we would have to wait until January. We would not have ordered from your store had we known. We are now trying to find our own installer. Poor customer service, telling untruth to get a sale.

When we walked into showroom we knew we had found the right place. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The display of fires were very impressive and the staff were extremely helpful but not pushy. A lovely gentleman called Mike took us to the fires we were interested in and answered all our questions. We had seen fires on internet sites but nothing compares with seeing them in a proper setting and working. We able to test the fires we were interested in and Mike explained how they worked. We chose our fire which was at a very good competitive price. It came a week later and we are now enjoying it in our home. I have recommended Direct Fires to all my friends. Much better than buying from online shop.

Whole experience of ordering to delivery was very slick and professional. The lovely lady who took our order to s as speedy delivery I would highly recommend Direct Fireplaces fit your needs. In a world of doubt of doubt , suspicions and disappointment I found it very refreshing to find outstanding service , thank you.

PARTS NOT ORDERED ON ORIGINAL ORDER ( MISSING ), REORDED AT EXTRA COST , TURNED UP WRONG SIZE , FITTER BROKE SURROUND , POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ,HAD TO CHASE NUMEROUS TIMES.

I have given this a poor rating due to the poor level of service received throughout. I ordered the fire on Monday 24/11/25 and was given a 3-5 working days delivery slot. I called your office on a number of occasions as were without heating at all. We were finally given a delivery date of Friday 28/11/25 but no specific time. We waited in all day but nothing arrived and no communication from the DX Express as the delivery company. I called everyday between 1-5 December 25 and on Tuesday 2/12/25 I was informed that they had attempted to deliver the fire on Saturday 29/11/25 but no one was home and a card was left. We were home all day on that day but we didn't hear anything or receive any card. I called your offices everyday from 1-5 December asking for a delivery and even tried to contact the DX Express. Their automated system offered me a delivery on 4/12/25 but nothing arrived and the same on Friday 5/12/25. I would note that your Customer Service Officer Claire Dickinson was polite throughout did try to help but was unable to contact DX Express to provide an update. A decision was therefore made to cancel my original order and a new fire was ordered on Friday 5/12/25 as DX Express were not responding at all and the package was recorded as left at their Leeds base. Strangely the original order was delivered on Saturday 6/12/25 and luckily we were in as there was no notification from DX Express. The packaging was quite damaged and I forwarded photos of this to your offices. The fire looks cosmetically fine but I will not know if there is any further damage until I can get this installed. As I have noted the overall rating is poor and I feel this could have been handled better.

Sales Team were brillant and very helpful. Everthing in the transaction went smoothly from purchasing to delivery. Would recommend buying from Direct fireplace in particular to those living outside mainland UK. Thanks.
