“I have been pleased with Direct Fireplaces communications on expected delivery date ( no time given) , which has been helpful, however, when the fireplace arrived it came in a crate weighing 350Kg delivery driver offloaded and left in the middle of the pavement in the pouring rain. With not having a timed delivery I couldn't arrange for assistance, so I had to move the entire contents of the crate myself as couldn't leave the pavement blocked. With being in the construction industry myself, I would expect there to be a specification sheet, that would at least give a list of contents in the crate, also the correct material to be used when erecting the fireplace. Even if I was getting a specialist to erect I would want to check they are using the correct materials. Sometimes it's the simplest things that can change a 3* performance to 5*”

“We are very satisfied with our purchase - the fireplace looks lovely. However, the website promised an agreed delivery date - this was not an option when we ordered, and when we phoned to question this we were assured we would be able to change the date with the delivery firm if necessary. However, DHL proved to be impossible to contact, and in the end I had to re-arrange a work commitment to be in when the delivery took place. Not the fault of Direct Fireplaces - but the website is a bit misleading.”

“On my visit to DirectFireplaces Anthony was very helpful, efficient and had all of the relevant info required. They have an excellent variety to choose from. He Organized the delivery of my fire, (It was delivered earlier than expected) Excellent service. Highly recommended.”

“The fire arrived as scheduled and looks to be good quality with the exception of the mantel which has a section that has been missed by the finished coat. The aftersales team have been very helpful with the questions I had and I hope they will be as proactive regards the issue with the mantel.”

“Initially I was very wary of placing an order as I had previously been misled by other companies on whether they had the fire in stock and how long I would have to wait to take delivery. I telephoned this company prior to placing my order and was assured that although they did not have it in stock the fire would come straight from the manufacturer and would take between 3 - 5 days to be delivered. I took a chance and placed ny order on-line and true to their word i received an email from the manufacturer who confirmed they had the appliance in stock and that it was being processed ready for despatch. I am pleased to say that I received my electric fire 4 days after placing the order. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and would purchase from them again in the future.”

“We decided to replace our living flame gas fire with an electric fire due to the uncertainty of gas supplies. We bought Dimplex Optimyst online from Direct Fireplaces. Their website is very user-friendly and delivery was very quick. The fire is amazing, it looks like a living flame, not sure how it works but it does. We have only had the effect going as we haven't needed to use the heat yet but that appears to be good. Very happy with our purchase from Direct Fireplaces”

“The fire I purchased from your company ,I am satisfied with,,what I’m not happy with is your reply from my email I sent you regarding your price match advert on your website ,,,,,I saw the same fire on another website that was near enough £80 cheaper ,,,,the reply I got from you was a really poor response,,,,all it said was ,,,,We can’t match that ,,,,,,I round returned the fire to you ,,,only when I read the returns policy,,it would have cost me £140 pounds,,,,I am a 75 year old pensioner,,,and I’m on dialysis ,,so I’m not in the best of health,,,,,,and £80 is one hell of a lot of money to me ,,,,,,if you would have made some kind of offer,,I would have been quite happy,,,,,,but I’m afraid ,,it’s left me with a sour taste in my mouth”
