“Excellent service. Thanks to the pleasant, helpful staff at Fireplaces direct. Even more impressive given they are working under the very difficult trading circumstances caused by Boris and his mates. Definitely recommended Fireplaces Direct. The fire surround is very well made and arrived carefully packaged to protect it. A big thumbs up to the people who made it and clearly invested time and pride in getting it to us in good condition. All round we are chuffed to bits.”

“Delivery was a huge pain. Had to chase 4 times. In the end despite me asking them to let me know when they were coming they just left it in the garden. Not impressed at all.”

“For me First Class Service, although I had to send a Stove back (Transportation Damage), the team at Direct Stoves were straight on to the case, kept me informed via phone and email, sending replacement Stove out straight away, no fuss no hassle, thanks to Sarah, Lucy and Nick 👍”

“To be honest I haven't actually seen my fireplace yet. Sent directly to my new home to be installed and I'm not in yet. I have been told it looks ok but the packaging had been destroyed by the delivery people so I was lucky. I didn't get a text from delivery guys rather to say it was on its way and had no tracking information so had to keep emailing Direct fireplaces. They did respond and gave me as much info as they could. Thank you Sarah and Rachel”

“I'm refreshing an old Edwardian house and ordered a Granite hearth from these people. They are the worse of any of my suppliers by a mile. It was only because the hearth was late that I chased them and they blamed the haulage company. I was promised delivery-specific day and accepted. I arranged the installers. The hearth didn't arrive again. I then received an email rescinding that promise and offering a later date. Bearing in mind the hearth is now nearly a week late, and I have paid several hundred pounds for four wasted man-days. Again, bearing in mind it is their fault, Direct Fireplaced directed me to the small print which apparently (I can't find it) absolves them of responsibility. So I have been forced to accept an even later delivery date. I then asked if they would be kind enough to deliver between specified hours to save me wasting another whole day. Nope. Not a chance, so another day was wasted. Good people. If you are reading this I do urge you not to deal with Direct Fireplaces who have now held my money for nearly three weeks, have caused me a financial loss, and steadfastly refused to assist in any way.”

“I chose this company to buy my gas fire from because I was impressed by their website which showed a large selection of fires, with their prices up front and detailed specifications of the fires. Other companies closer to home had only a small amount on line and wanted me to order a brochure and to jump through many hoops for the prices or asked me to come into the shop to find all this out. I decided then to visit this shop and not bother with the others as I knew exactly what I wanted. I found a good selection of fires on display with friendly, knowledgeable staff who were able to confirm the gas fire I chose, an Elgin & Hall radiant inset gas fire, was compatible with the one I was removing, when I showed them the instruction booklet of the old one. I was able to discuss all the fine details with the helpful assistant Lucy, such as surround colour and ignition choice. The fire was delivered earlier than estimated but because all registered gas fitters are fully booked until after Christmas the fire is not up and running yet so I cannot comment on the fire and will just have to be patient until the new year.”

“Promised that the fire would be here towards the end of November, placed the order on the 12th, when the fire didn’t arrive as planned spoke to them and now it’s going to be the middle of Decembe, not very good service”

“Having had a problem with the first fire that came on a Wednesday, we had an excellent response to a phone call & received a replacement on the Friday. The replacement was in first class condition. We are very pleased with it and with you your customer service. Thank you.”
