“Sent these awful unprofessional people 2 emails as requested so I could cancel my undelivered fireplace. It’s now 3 weeks later and I’ve still not been refunded. I’ve had to open a PayPal claim to get my money returned and still they try and ignore the PayPal claim. My advice from dealing with these unprofessional people is don’t. Buy from elsewhere”

“Was told they could not fulfill my order over a week ago asked for alternative recommendations but despite 4 emails and two phone calls I have not heard a word from the company regarding refunding my money. I have seen fires suitable for my needs on their website but noone has bothered to contact me”

“WRITE A REVIEW! 2 weeks on and I still have not received my fire. Very angry and frustrated. Claiming a refund. Can't order from anywhere else till I receive a refund.”

“I have sent 3 messages and a phone call regarding my order, the messages I never received an answer, the phone call I made the girl on the other end took my number and told me she would get back to me but I never got a call back, so your after sales could be doing with a look at, so if anyone reads this can they tell me if they have a delivery date for my order,thank you, William Beaton”

“It would not have been possible to deliver the fire if someone in the house was not able to help lift the pallet off the road also I don’t see why the customer has to keep the wooden pallet which does not fit through the door”

“Ordered the Katell Verona Italia Optimyst Electric Fireplace Suite. Looks good but fireplace makes a gurgling, dripping noise. Emailed several times and was given a number to WhatsApp with a video. Despite numerous chaser emails, it looks like I'm being ignored. Shocking customer service. If you're looking for an electric fireplace, find another supplier.”

“The only reason for 2 stars is the delivery was by UPS who dont tell you when there coming 3/ 5 days ridiculous when you work , No note in door saying they had taken fire back because it was broke we had to ring around to find out where it was so wont buy again from this company Its a shame because fire was lovely when we got it”

Hi Paul Sorry you had a poor delivery experience. We use different delivery companies depending on the items purchased. Due to the increase demand on parcel companies, there are less carries that will handle large items such as yours, so we are limited to UPS sometimes. If practical for the customer we can deliver to work or other addresses. Many Thanks

“with the help from Lucy we have saved hundred of pounds we went to B&Q first who tried to rip us off with expensive sub standard fire place. Lucy was great she sorted us out with a fantastic fire place and fire, proper marble great quality and price , delivery and packing was very good . we would recommend Direct fireplaces to everyone”

“Easy to use website. Purchased HE gas fire in September 2022. Arrived well packaged and on time. Plenty of emails to keep me informed of the order progress. Very pleased with the fire itself. Looks perfect in our fireplace. Our local gas Safe plumber fitted it without any hitches. So far so good.”

“I put in an enquiry for price matching a product when they had price match offer on. And I have the emails to prove it from their automated email system acknowledging my enquiry. But they never replied, and then told me they don't do it anymore when I called then up 2 weeks later chasing the enquiry. The should have kept their word on previous enquiries being submitted at the time. Not the nicest way to do business. Wasted my time!”
