“The duvet cover and pillows look nice. The fitted sheet is a bit strange....a bit like sleeping on a plastic sheet. They are cold when you get into bed, but seem to retain heat, so they get hot at night...ok in Winter. I wish I had stuck to linen.”

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you’re happy with the look of your duvet cover and pillowcases, but we’re sorry the fitted sheet hasn’t felt as as you hoped. The feel of cotton can be quite different from linen, particularly if you’re used to linen’s naturally textured, temperature-regulating finish. Our cotton also comes in two fabric weave options, so whilst our 'cool & crisp' fabric is wonderfully cool to the touch with a crisp finish, our soft & smooth fabric may be better suited if you're looking for cotton with a lovely buttery softness. Alternatively we have lots of lovely linen options if you prefer to stick with linen. “Bought flat sheet and pillow cases in fjord. Absolutely love the flat sheet, exactly the same colour as the website and just a gorgeous deep blue. Unfortunately the pillow cases are several shades lighter. I have emailed the company with pictures but have yet to receive a reply.”

“I was pleased to find the Dip and Doze website, which offered the kind of organic, fair trade products I was looking for. The website is very attractive, with detailed information available if you want it. Now I've tried a duvet cover, though, I wouldn't buy from Dip and Doze again. The colour range is too muted for my taste and the fabric is lighter than other bedding I have bought.”

“I purchase goods from Dip and Doze because they are of good quality, however this time I found that there were stains on the duvet cover which were visible as soon as I opened the parcel. Returning the item was straightforward but when I phoned to check that it had been received I was surprised to receive no apology or explanation. I am now unsure whether to re-order.”

Our products go through a strict quality control process, so a duvet cover arriving this way is most unusual, and I completely understand your disappointment. Having looked into this, it seems the information about the fault with your duvet cover was unfortunately not passed on correctly at the time of your call, which meant our team member that you spoke to wasn’t aware of the reason for your return. “The towels are the usual lovely quality and have my favourite addition - a hook! But the sizing is small. I should have checked the dimensions properly but what is described as a bath sheet is what I would describe as a regular bath towel. The bath towel size is small.”

“Quality is amazing but the price has gone up by 50% and the wooden quilt buttons have been replaced with plastic ones. Oh the micro plastics... :-(”

Hi Richard, Thank you for your review. I’m pleased to let you know that our buttons are not made from plastic, they are still (and always will be) 100% natural! We replaced our coconut shell buttons with corozo nut buttons as they’re more hard wearing and durable, yet still completely biodegradable. The demand for organic cotton has increased significantly over the last three years thanks to growing awareness about sustainability. We’re so pleased as this shift has a positive impact both on people and our planet. However, although we do everything we can to keep prices down, exchange rates and surging demand for organic cotton have significantly increased our costs. We tried to minimise price increases, but some have increased more than others. We really appreciate your understanding as organic cotton price developments are a global phenomenon and not unique to Dip & Doze. “not particularly good, accidentally ordered the wrong size, emailed them to cancel order so i could re order. prompt response saying order cancelled but order arrive nonetheless. quality seemed good though and return was simple.”

This is super rare as our products have been meticulously tested to ensure this doesn't happen and our customers remain happy with them for many years. “Good service and communication. Fitted sheet is good quality cotton, not a good fit, it needs more estic or similar to get a better fit. I am disappointed at the way it slides in the night. Fail to see why it came in a bag, waste and not necessary!”

Hi Stella! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave this review. We're really sorry to hear you didn't like the fit of our fitted sheets. After a few washes at 40 degrees, it should shrink to the perfect size for your bed, but if it's still not quite right you can always return it to us under our 30 Night Free Trial policy. Due to our commitment to minimising the environmental footprint of our brand, we've put alot of thought into our packaging. Usually, the offcuts from manufacturing bed linen will go to waste, whether that be in landfills or by burning. To avoid this, we really wanted to give the leftover offcuts of fabric a new life by turning them into our drawstring bags. “Lovely Cotton..but first wash and a button off the duvet cover - really frustrating as I hate sewing”

“Love the product but deeply confused about the choice of a plastic bag in addition to the cotton bag and the envelope. Why?!? Why add plastic as a redundant third layer to a product which is positionned to be environmentally and socially sustainable? I would really love to understand...”

Hi! Our brand is rooted in our sustainability mission, and at the beginning of our journey we chose to use secondary recycled plastic for our inner bags. These bags are necessary because they ensure our products arrive at your door in their best state: perfectly clean and dry. As our brand has grown, we have been able to develop alternatives to the plastic outer packaging which are both functional and support our mission to make our world a better place for everyone. We've now developed 100% home compostable inner packaging, which will compose within 6-12 months in a home compost heap due to it's non GMO corn composition. Only 20% of our older stock remains in our old packaging, but we know that soon, we’ll be completely plastic free!

“My recent order with Dip & Dose arrived promptly and was well made with attractive packaging. But alas the colour of the bed linen was not as I had expected. Although it was advertised as being blue and white striped it was actually grey and white. I am dissapointed. Rather than gooing through the faff of returning them and needing to use them urgently I have kept them.”

We're sorry the colour of our bed linen wasn't as expected, however in the product description on our site we do specify our Blue Stripe linens to be a 'grey-blue shade'. If you are unhappy with the product, please feel free to return them using the free returns link on our website as part of our 30 Night Sleep Trial. Our returns process is really easy and shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to complete. We hope this helps!

We are sorry that the colour wasn't as expected, however we have added on our website that the colour is a grey-blue shade. We always try to make our images as accurate as possible, however we appreciate that on different screens and devices it can appear slightly different. We exclusively use the finest quality long-staple cotton, but we are sorry that it wasn't quite right for you. One of our other fabric options may be better for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like any help with finding your perfect fabric.

“The fabric itself seems to be good quality but the size of both the fitted sheet and pillow cases were too large. The plastic packaging as well as the cotton bags were needlessly wasteful.”

Good Morning Tom, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review. Cotton will shrink the first few times it’s washed as it’s a completely natural material. We don’t use any harmful sizing chemicals like formaldehyde to pre-shrink our products, so our bed linen is deliberately manufactured to be slightly too big to allow for this shrinkage. We recommend washing it 2-3 times at 40ºc, after which it should fit beautifully. We're so sorry to hear about your disappointment with the packaging. When our business started out, we decided to use recycled plastic so that our products stay perfectly clean and dry. However, we have been working hard behind the scenes—refining our ideas and working on the best solution. We’ve now developed packaging that’s 100% compostable. As our aim is to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we haven’t re-packaged our slightly older stock. So, some orders may still arrive in recycled plastic but soon we’ll be completely plastic free. I hope that helps!

“The price and product offering was good - I’d only complain that one sheet I wanted to order was out of stock. The actual quality of the product when it arrived was slightly disappointing. Despite washing and ironing before use as instructed, I’ve found the cotton to be not as smooth of a surface as I’d like and to feel a bit grainy. The sheets are also very noisy which has definitely been audible to me in the night. I bought: Crisp and Fresh finish.”

The beauty of our organic cotton is that it grows even more beautiful with use and washing, so over time the fabric will become slightly smoother. I hope you’ll really love your new bedding after a little more time. However, if you’d love a buttery soft and completely smooth feel that’s silent during the night, then our soft & smooth fabric will be best suited. “We haven’t used the duvet cover and pillows yet as we are waiting for our new bed. I would have liked to order a fitted bottom sheet, but your sheets are not deep enough to cover our mattress.”
