“I purchased Devon Heaven Afternoon Tea Nibbles as a birthday gift (Order No: 36340) on Monday 8th June 2020. The website allowed me to select a specific date for delivery and I chose Monday 15th June 2020 (date of birthday). I received an email from Devon Heaven acknowledging this delivery date. I accept that deliveries are challenging at this time because of Covid-19. However, I was rather disappointed to learn from the tracking number that my order had actually been delivered the week before Monday 15th June 2020. It was actually delivered on Thursday 11th June 2020. In the current circumstances, perhaps it would be best if Devon Heaven removed the option of selecting a specific delivery date in order to avoid disappointment. At this time I have no feedback from the recipient relating to the contents of the Devon Heaven Afternoon Tea Nibbles gift.”

“Lovely product, disappointing delivery from DHL. Allocated time slot given between 4-6pm however didn't arrive until 8:30pm. Disappointed for my mum on her 69th birthday in lockdown.”

“The hamper we ordered was for my mother in law as we couldn’t visits during lockdown. The photos were totally misleading as I thought it was going to be in a basket but in fact was only in a cardboard box. She was pleased with it but as she was not aware what we had paid for it she would be. We thought it just wasn’t worth the money. We couldn’t get it until 11/06 of this year, but her birthday was the 2nd . We decided to go with you as we thought it was a better hamper , but as it turned out we could have gone with a different company and got it to her on time. We were very disappointed .”

“ordered hamper as a thank you to my daughter for looking after us during lock down. Hamper didnt arrive. was told no order had been placed . Gave them all details again but no joy.So it was left to me to check with my bank that payment had been taken. They then agreed to send hamper. but contents did not match the illustration. on the plus side my daughter said contents were delious.”

“The idea was good. The assurance it would arrive on the correct day was good. Afternoon tea at 8pm is not alright. There should be notice to carrier that it needs to be delivered at lunch time at least. VERY DISAPPOINTED SENDER AND RECIPIENT.”

“Sadly arrived in the evening, so couldn’t eat until next day. The cream was warm when it arrived. It was all quite nice, but not as good as the price, adverts and other reviews, would suggest it should be.”

“Have used Devon Heaven Previously without problems but I ordered a cream tea for my sisters 70th and it arrived too late for tea on the day. Bearing in mind that it is “teas” you are selling should not they arrive earlier in the day?”

“One of the 2 hampers was fine but in the other the cream smelt off. I have previously had some correspondence with you on this matter but you seem to have lost interstitial in pursuing it. Sad really as it makes it unlikely that I will be using your service again.”

“Very good delivery but I am afraid it ends there everything was so sweet the scones were over sweet the jam was as well and the cream was sickly sweet it was such a shame we only managed a half a one each the rest went in the bin The yoghurt flapjacks was ok but the brownie was so sickly we had a bite and that went in the bin. I think sugar was used as a preservative and I appreciate that but it was too much.”

“Product was good but the couriers didn't turn up on day was supposed to and didn't turn up to the following evening so couldn't really have much of the clotted cream as was very warm so disappointed with that”

“Beautifully packaged & delivered on time as a birthday surprise for an 81 year old. However, it seems that the scones may not have been freshly made on the day they were posted as they were a bit stale when they arrived, which was a shame.”

“As the hamper was for my son,some distance away in Central London,I did not see it,but it arrived promptly on the day requested.The only negative was the cake substitution,as my son does not eat fruit cake,but that is what he got.The website is good and easy to follow and order.”

“The contents of the hamper were nice and my parents enjoyed the treat. We were disappointed with the hamper itself as it looks quite cheap but luckily we were given a hamper at Christmas so we moved the contents into that. That made it look much better. It was a useful service during lockdown. I could have purchased more for less money at a local garden centre and got the same quality but as this was not possible this was a good alternative. Delivery was tricky as my parents anniversary was a Tuesday and this company don't deliver over the weekend of Mondays. We had plans on the friday and so we had to arrange delivery for the Thursday before their anniversary. Delivery was fine and we had a time slot but the scones and cream went off before we could give them to my parents. I replaced these items with ones from a supermarket.”

“I was very disappointed that my gift did not arrive for my 98 year old mother-in-law for her birthday treat. After 3 days of waiting and several emails Sam did correct the situation by sending a replacement by Royal Mail which arrived safely. Not sure I would risk using them again as their delivery company cannot be relied on.”
