“As previously notified the cream tea was delivered to the wrong address where the gentleman had already unpacked it and put it away. Managed to get the contents back, but the gift card contained in the box had been thrown away. My cousin said the contents were delicious but for a surprise great gift, it was disappointing when she had to go and hunt for the box elsewhere.”

“I was a new customer with Devon Heaven and was dissapointed to find that my order was left on a back porch on a really hot afternoon by your couriers. When I emailed to say how disappointed I was with this arrangement the response I got was ". I will be sharing this feedback directly with DPD to ensure this doesn't happen again" I don't consider this to be a satisfactory response and I was disappointed since the order involved a pot of cream. I have had no further communication with your company but would value your further comments.”

“I ordered 2 hampers one arrived no issues the other was 5 days late so the items were no good, asked for a refund as scones and cream had to go in bin. They refused at first but did offer one once I said I would return the unopened box to them. Disappointed as was a Xmas present for someone so alternative gift had to be sourced when it didn't turn up.”

“My friend loved their cream tea that I purchased for their Birthday, but unfortunalty it was not delivered on their birthday which was a Friday. DHL did not deliver until the following Tuesday 4 days late, so there was no cooling agenct left in the box to keep everything cold.”

“This is very late coming as I've only just been told. My elderly Aunt knew to expect delivery but it was found on the front door step in the rain. It was saturated and most had to be thrown away. It's difficult for me to know what time it was delivered or whether they did knock the door loudly but it is not the type of area where it's safe to leave items on a front doorstep in view anyway. Always been happy with your service and items but this was very disappointing outcome.”

“My Devon Heaven hamper was a 70th birthday gift. Redeeming the voucher was easy and it arrived on the date requested. We have had many holidays in Devon and always had a cream tea at many different locations across the county. I was thus delighted to receive the gift. Sadly the scones, both fruit and plain in my Devon Heaven hamper were flat, tasteless and dry and nothing like any we have eaten in Devon and therefore really disappointing. Lovely jam and cream but decent scones are needed to accompany them! The other goodies were acceptable but not outstanding.”

“Sadly the scones were dry, and we ended up throwing two of them away, and the jam wasn’t tart enough for our taste. However, these were gluten free, so maybe ordinary scones would be better?”

“I’ve never used this company before as always use the same one but this looked so lovely I thought I’d order it for a birthday gift for my dad. Unfortunately they were very disappointed with it & didn’t think it was very good compared to the other company I’ve used in the past for them. They didn’t think the quality was good & didn’t eat some of the products. I was very disappointed & will have to get him a replacement present now. Shame as this cost £9 more than my usual purchase. Sadly I won’t use again or recommend.”

“Sadly I had a poor experience. I booked it for a birthday party on 9th march deliveryto be given as a gift that night when my guest was present. It was not delivered until late the following day after being diverted to a depot overnight even though date was specified and confirmed by you. So not able to give as a present and left embarrassed. I complained on the day and was told it would be passed to a manager. No response. I can't and won't be recommending you as a result . Big shame as the product was quite good.”

“Recently I had a hamper to a friend for their 80th birthday he was delighted with it as he is housebound so it was a real treat. He was amazed at the quality of the food. This is not the first time I have used your Company and I will certainty continue to use them in furure.”

“Bought this hamper as a gift for somebody and not only did it arrive late When I called this company nobody answers the phone I did text sorry I did email and I still didn't get a reply so whilst the outcome was good my friend thoroughly enjoyed the hamper I wouldn't use this company again”

“This is a lovely idea but doesn't hit the spot. The jam was lovely the rest was average but the biggest problem which isn't really their fault is its supposed to be afternoon tea but due to the courier mine didn't turn up till early evening”

“I had the Devon tea delivered for a friend recovering illness, the issue was the delivery whilst I received a txt to say it had been delivered to side gate, my friend did not have a card pushed through her door. The parcel was found next day when my friend went to put something in her wheelie bin, of course the cream was curdled, but she said the scones and Jam were delicious. I wouldn't order again. The product was apparently delicious, but poor delivery service spoilt the gift. Sorry only able to give 2*”

“Your customer services is sadly lacking, I left a phone message to contact me the day the hamper was delivered, a day early, and I am still waiting. The recipient in their nineties was out so the hamper was taken to a shop but needed a bar code to collect, could not do this as don't have a mobile phone. Had to spoil the surprise by phoning and explaining how to try to get their gift, thankfully known in shop so information I sent 300 miles by word of mouth worked. Not very happy.”

Hi Gillian I'm sorry about this but you did ask for it to be delivered on the 15th and that's when it was delivered, as it was a flat there was no safe place for the driver to leave it so he left it at a local pick up shop. I appreciate that isn't ideal for the elderly but as it's fresh taking it back to the depot on a Friday and re-delivering the next working day (Monday) wouldn't have been very good. We didn't receive any messages from you about it, we don't even have an answer phone on our phone. Thanks, Sam
