“I have sent 2 scone and cream hampers over the last couple of months to my sister-in-law and her husband who is very poorly and they have been delighted with the treat. They are in their eighties, I am not very well at the moment and, as we live 200 miles away, we are unable to meet up. It is great to be able to send them an affordable treat and the service and delivery are first class, thank you Devon Heaven.”

“Sent my sister a hamper for Christmas it was delivered to the wrong address .told I would get my money back but got a store credit instead they said it was my fault because I didn't check the postcode. Eventually got one delivered mid January never use them again”

“Was very dissatisfied with my Devon hamper which I purchased on the 22/09/2023 I have made a complaint to your company who went on to offer me 15% off my next order ,unfortunately I will not be ordering again until I can be reassured that the scones are of a far better quality I was a returning customer over many times however the quality was just not the same .”

“I live in New Zealand and ordered the Cake, Tea and Biscuits hamper to be delivered to my sister in Torquay for her 80th birthday. She was delighted with the hamper and I was very impressed with the professional and efficient ordering and delivery system provided by Devon Heaven. I was kept informed at every stage and was even told the name of the time slot and driver's name on the day of delivery. I would certainly order from Devon Heaven again.”

“I’d love to review the cream tea but sadly it never arrived. The courier took a picture of the house next to the recipient (even though the correct address had two name plates on gate and house). He didn’t leave the package though. Devon Heaven refused to re-deliver ‘in case the courier got it wrong again’ (!!!) They offered a refund which wasn’t forthcoming so I rang to query it and was told the guy had ‘forgotten’ to do it. Such a shame as this was to be a gift for a dear friend who is currently housebound. The whole thing caused stress to me, her and her neighbour, which Devon Heaven didn’t seem to appreciate. I’m sure the product is lovely but sadly we never got to find out.”

“Previously ordered this hamper before and was very happy with contents. Unfortunately this time the cream and scones were black when they were opened and item was kept in cool place as instructed. Disappointed.”

“So very excited to receive the hamper - ordered for a special occasion. Arrived on time. Opened the hamper box - oh dear. As a token gesture a little bit of straw scattered over the top! The box was damaged - ripped in one corner. The immediate wow factor is nothing like the photos on the website. Disappointing to say the least. The two scones were stale and did not look very appertising. Not to be deterred, popped them in the oven to freshen up - very heavy and dense. On a positive, the jam and clotted cream were great. Nice flavour from the tea bags. Overall very disappointing and certainly not worth the money!”

“I have purchased two separate orders from Devon Heaven. One of them was delivered as expected, however the second order was left on the doorstep of the recipients home in 30C temperatures, as the there was no reply. The contents of this package were totally ruined and when I called Devon Heaven to explain what had happened, the person I spoke with was unapologetic stating it was our responsibility to be in for the delivery. The package was labelled as keep refrigerated and leave with a neighbour if no reply. The level of customer service I have received was appalling to say the least, eventually the person I was speaking with on the phone hung up on me after getting quite agitated. I would suggest whoever runs this company needs to implement better delivery contingency protocols for the occasions when the recipient is not home. My advice to anyone reading this is avoid and look for alternative supplier.”

“I was very disappointed with delivery. This was a 25th wedding anniversary tea gift box gift to a disabled lady, with the idea of tea at 3.00 with her husband , the the parcel arrived at 7.00 pm . It lost its impact , wouldn’t use you again. Sorry. I did telephone to ask you to change delivery but this didn’t happen. What can you do to make me use your service and recommend you in the future ?”

“VERY disappointed. Scones were hard. Shortbread was not handmade. Threw away the brownies as they were too sweet and not fresh. The only decent thing was the fruit cake.”

“I was sent a Cream tea hamper for two this Christmas. It consisted of a bag of crisps, a bottle of bitter, a small bar of chocolate, some fudge and a tiny apple and cider pudding. All nice stuff except for the beer (I don’t drink beer we’ll not at tea time anyway) but not what it says on the packet. Like all hamper providers I’m sure you have a caveat that says items subject to availability. But this is stretching it somewhat. I’d happily add a photo but there’s no attachment link despite this asking me to.”

“was very upset as the hamper was not delivered to the address I wanted to. An acknowledgement email was sent to me but I didnt get chance to look at my emails. didnt even think of checking my emails as i had double checked the order. Also didnt think it was value for money Thank you”

“Having used this company before and had a great service this time they really dropped the ball. My special anniversary delivery was sent to the wrong address and I spent the next week trying to sort out the mess their delivery company made. They told me I could have a refund but then spent a week saying the fault wasn’t theirs and that I’d have to wait for the “ issue to be resolved” before they would refund. I called every day for a week with updates that they themselves should have had. I found it really stressful and unfortunately for this reason wouldn’t buy from them again.”

“Ordered afternoon tea for my parents 58th wedding anniversary paid £19.95 for 4 scones tiny pot of cream tiny bit of jam and 2 tea bags total rip off don’t buy it’s worth about £4 at most!”

“This was the second hamper we ordered on the back of the first one being amazing. But unfortunately this one was not. The scones where to dry to eat so it all got binned. So very disappointed. Should have stopped at one hamper. We will not be ordering again. I’d stay clear as quality cannot be guaranteed. Oh and I emailed the Sam@ email address and never got a reply so I wouldn’t bother trying that either.”

“Have ordered before with great success but this time the present arrived a day late and at 8pm in the evening. Was told it was because of covid! Really getting fed with that excuse for bad service. Having ordered perishable food and told originally it was not delivered because no one was home. Which wasn't true because the person had just come home from hospital and I checked someone would be there. So very disappointed.”

“Having oly recenly rediscovered the greetings card enclosed with hamper I have just realised why the scones were dry almost stale and subsequently consigned to the waste bin. A gift intended for Father's Day and opened on that date now to read on the enclosed card " Best before "20/6/2021". However, as that was the date for Father's Day one could hardly consume an item that had reached the expiry date. I have not informed the sender of my gift ( it would upset her) I would merely reiterate the problem that occurred in my instance.”
