“James was a delight - helpful, friendly and efficient. I did the ordering and as a female (recently divorced) who has never got involved in making a garden low maintenance, I was pleased to find how easy and hassle-free it was dealing with James' company. I would definitely use Decorative Gardens again.”

“Website is new and easy to navigate around although some icons which appear clickable do not take you through to selection menus as you would expect. Images are clear and detailed enough to make your choice of purchase. Ordering process is very clear and simple with good amount of payment options. There were a couple of issues post purchase that were quickly resolved after receiving a call from the owner within an hour of placing the order. Delivery method could have been a bit clearer at checkout as the bulk bag was delivered by pallet truck which had to be dropped on the pavement as it was impossible to get either up the drive or onto the lawn out of the way. For this, there could have been an option for delivery by a vehicle with a crane to unload which may be an option to pay extra for as many would find very useful. First delivery driver from Palletline was very rude and abrupt when making the drop and did not explain to my wife why the delivery couldn't be dropped where we required it. After underestimating the amount of stone we required we also ordered a smaller amount which has done the job perfectly - the delivery driver from the same delivery company for this could not have been more helpful or polite. Overall, I'd be happy to use Decorative Gardens again if we need any more products, and the aftersales customer service from them was some of the best I have had.”

“I wish to amend my review as follows: Bought 3000 kilos of slate chippings and 10 rolls of weed blocker membrane. The membrane came with a 10 year guarantee. I laid it while taking the precautions suggested, but less than 10 days after laying, blades of grass and weed started coming through the membrane perforations. I sent an e-mail to Decorative Gardens with no response. The second e-mail provoked a promise to ring me the next day but I ended up ringing anyway. The person I spoke to suggested I used round-up, but did not offer anything else to cover this further expense due to the failing supplied material. However, the person I spoke to said he was going to ring around and ring me back that same morning. He never did. I think the after purchase service of this company is not good, the membrane I bought is not up to the job and seems that I am not protected under the seller's responsibilities towards the customer, and the manufacturer's 10 year guarantee. I will probably have to end up seeking local expert and legal advice.”

Hello, we are very some that you were not happy with the weed blocker. We tried to resolve this issue with you. I think it is worth pointing out to our customers that most of the weeds to which you refer to in your comments were thistles which unfortunately will push through most types of geotextile membrane. We have used this weed blocker in our own gardens and had no trouble with it. Once again we are sorry about the problems you have experienced but these are out of our control.

“Pros: Simple on-line ordering process. Delivery on time. Rocks of a good size. Cons: Lorry was far bigger than stated - caused new concrete on drive to crack! We ordered Yorkstone we were supplied with Cotswold.”

“The Water feature was securely packed but delivery was difficult . I did email decorative gardens regarding a lighting system that I subsequently found was not included with the product. I did receive an apologetic telephone call from the owner explaining the advertising error. Notwithstanding the water feature is excellent and well up to expectation. Would certainly deal with Decorative Gardens again . Well done.”
