“Although the Scottish Gabion pebbles were lovely coloured, the sizings were way out (almost double compared to the sizes of 80-150mm stated) and consequently did not fit my gabion planter, most were comparable to small rockery, but ho hum. Wasn't going to pay £80 to return them!”

Hello James Thanks for your review. We are sorry that you found the Scottish Cobbles 80-120mm too big for your gabions. These are the most popular size for garden gabions. We do offer a option for customers to purchase samples before ordering and always recommend this. We do also state in the product description that - "The sizes quoted above are the grading size of the screen that the cobbles pass through. As a result the actual size of the Scottish cobbles can be larger" to try and help customers in choosing the right product. “Product was great. The courier did not turn up in the delivery window and did not inform us so hung about only for the stone to not arrive , Made re appointment for next morning and guy was great but needed assistance unloading the bulk bag as he was on his own.”

Hi Susan. Thank you for your feedback. We just wanted to clarify for customers that are looking at our reviews that we only can deliver to the property and the drivers will do there best to help, but as most of our deliveries are on pallets goods can only be left kerbside but most of the time the delivery company will always try and leave on the drive. “In terms of customer service, it was very good,however the top soil I recieved unfortunately must have contained a lot of weeds or the seeds of weeds because all the areas around the garden I spread the soil over have had a certain type of weed coming up in large amounts. None of the other areas around the garden have this weed so it's definitely coming from the new soil you delivered to me. It's a shame because although it looked nice it was a lot more expensive than the soil I usually obtain from my local landscaping company and only purchased from you because I was already ordering a lot of large slate. I wish now I hadn't because it has made more work for me.”

“Purchased a large fountain and Decorative Gardens handled the despatch promptly and efficiently, goods arriving when arranged. Unfortunately their carriers let us both down by delivering on a very large waggon instead of the 3.5 tonne vehicle specified on the consignment note. Our property is some 200 metres along a bridleway and trees prevented access of the juggernaught,, so we were faced with the task of moving the half tonne purchase the final distance. When challenged the driver agreed a smaller vehicle had been specified but he revealed they had nothing smaller!!”

We are sorry that our deliver company have not followed the deliver instruction that you gave us. All the depots should have 7.5t delivery truck and I will be taking this up with the depot concerned. Many thanks Decorative Gardens

“The delivery came on time however, save error, I was not aware it would be a one man delivery who needed our help to take the crate of rocks and bulk bag of chippings out of the delivery lorry! Other than this complication, the rocks and chippings look good and are packaged well. Chippings more dusty than expected but I guess they will wash out a bit. Will look nice in a contemporary scheme.”

“I ordered play sand I am a little disappointed in the quality of the sand, as today when my granddaughter came to play in the sand for the first time it has stained her clothing I only hope this will wash out.”

Hello, sorry to hear about that. We can assure you that all our playsand is washed and of the very highest standard and is BS EN 11:77 and BS EN 71-3 higher standard as well.

“Pros: Simple on-line ordering process. Delivery on time. Rocks of a good size. Cons: Lorry was far bigger than stated - caused new concrete on drive to crack! We ordered Yorkstone we were supplied with Cotswold.”
